Art of Motion offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Point and PreSchool Creative Movement. Special summer schedule for beginning teens. Fairy Princess Camp for 4 to 6 year olds and AOM Glamour Girl Camp for 7 to 11 year olds. Contact the studio about multiple class and family discounted tuition.
History
Established in 1985
Our current facility was built in 1998. It offers the safety and comfort of sprung floors with professional dance surfaces. To help our dancers feel more secure and have less chance of injury, we take our nonslip dance surface to the Bartlesville Community Center for every Studio production. Parents enjoy following their child's progress by watching class through our observation window. Stop by our studio and take a tour.
Meet the Business Owner: Shelly B.
Shelly Beech began her dance training at the age of three. She grew up attending the Texoma Dance Convention with faculty that included: Jo Rowan, Gus Giordano, Al Gilbert, and Joel Ruminer. These role models helped nurture her love of dance and teaching style. She majored in Ballet and Art at the University of Oklahoma and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Oklahoma State University in 1988. Her national reputation as a dance educator has been earned with over two decades of teaching experience. Her students have received scholarships and awards at conventions and colleges all over the country. Shelly attends national dance conventions and seminars to keep up-tp-date on the latest styles and teaching techniques. Shelly has her teaching certification through Chicago Nat'l Assn. of Dance Masters and Texas Association Teachers of Dance, Ind. Her professional memberships include: Oklahoma Dance Masters Assn and the International Tap Assn.
