I can't believe nobody else who received a groupon has provided feedback - shame on you! So I used my groupon to get a college diploma framed for my girlfriend. I wanted it to look really nice - so I added a picture of a well known spot on campus and a college sticker (name of university) to add a little more. It took about 2 1/2 weeks and it looks awesome! They told me 3 weeks, but had it done in a little early for me - as I was getting antsy to provide it to my girlfriend. I will definitely be going back to have them do some other framing for me! I would highly recommend!
A little more detail would help. They took a lot of time with me to help me decide on frames, matting (single and double), etc. I really appreciated the amount of time they took with me to help make the gift perfect. I think it turned out better than I even anticipated. And the end result - my girlfriend loved it!
Oh, and GO NOLES! -

They do good work, but they are way too expensive and take way too long to do it.
Framing runs about $30 per foot, and it takes them 1 month to complete a small frame job.
You can go elsewhere for half the price, and half the time. -

EXPENSIVE RIP-OFF ARTISTS.
I am trying to save money in framing a piece, so I bought my own frame from an estate auction with the glass, and all I need is the matting. I got a quote from this place of $80 JUST for the matting and "time to cut it and place it in the frame"!!!
When I was considering buying the frame new with the glass I was quoted between $80 and $100 at numerous framing stores around the city.
Really Art of Framing...$80 for matting and 3 minutes of labor???
This place should be renamed Art of Ripping People Off.
If you are considering this place shop around for quotes elsewhere; trust me, and save yourself some money.Comment from Blythe G. of Art of Framing 6/28/2011

Sideshow Bob himself would appreciate THIS art of framing (S01E12)! My girlfriend and I walked into the tiny but cozy Art of Framing and immediately felt a good vibe. This is because Art of Framing is also a gallery! There was great atmosphere, great art to look at, and buy if interested. The employees were very friendly and helpful, even at closing time and a week before Christmas.
We shared good conversation and will be coming back real soon to have another concert poster framed. I've come to realize framing is a bit expensive for my budget, so when I scrounge up my savings to actually get one done, I'll know where to go again. I've run into other places that have given me shotty doodoo material for the frame, but these guys gave me some stellar stuff! -

A good choice over yecchy Michael's or Aaron Brothers.
Art of Framing did me very good. I came in with a painting and half a clue, and I left pretty broke but very satisfied. No, they don't do the 1 cent sale here, but service is top notch, attention to detail is fabulous, and they even host art shows for local artists. (Free punch & veggies! Get on their mailing list for openings...) I should emphasize that the woman behind the counter brought out some really good suggestions for me while I stood in front of her slack jawed over the million possible frames to choose from.
And my painting looks great.
It's still kind of a shame that a good frame always costs more than the art itself, but maybe that says something about the value of my art more than anything. -

They'll take care of you!
The walls are filled with art by local artists & they take a personal approach, making sure you get want you want. From shadowboxes for your wedding memories to basic black frames for your favorite poster to large ornate frames you need to accentuate, say your grandma's antique persian rug, they have a wide selection.
Get in there and get your art framed! -

This Artsy Framing Store in the bohemian heart of San Diego...Adams Avenue, is a godsend! Great owners, FANTASTIC work at really resonable prices. So much better than anywhere else in SD. I expected to pay more, thank you Art of Framing...we will be back. ( they also sell neat handmade artware and jewelry from local artisians )
I love my Irish Railroad Poster!

Nice friendly place. The job was to replace the glass on a frame, It was done before the due date and for the price quoted. I'd go back again.
