This is a nice, quaint little shop with all kinds of handmade artistry. Blown glass, pottery, photography, watercolors ... you name it, it's in the shop.
My personal favorites were the pieces by gourd artist Kathie Lane and glass jewelry maker Laura Villanyi, whose glass jewelry is embellished with beads, paints and other trinkets to create one-of-a-kind looks.
Gourd artist Kathie Lane was tending shop when I visited. Her love of all exhibiting artists was obvious; she personified a "chatty Kathie" when two British women came in looking for "hummingbuhds."
Meanwhile, I was entranced by Lane's designs--the agriculturally trained Lane's gourds (inedible melons, more or less) are fashionable and functional. Earth-colored baskets give way to brightly colored sculptures in her collection.
You'll likely find something original in his shop.
