I don't know that I can rave loudly enough or long enough to do justice to Tara's work. My fiance and I are T-80 some odd days to our wedding and besides looking forward to a hell of a party we can't wait to see what Tara and Kevin's lens produce. Kevin is tara's partner in crime that has his own business: http://kevinmeynellwed... but he was acting as 2nd gun for Tara when she shot our engagement photos. He kicks serious ass too and our friends used him as their photographer and were very pleased with the result.
Back to Tara and a magical day... let's see... we reached out to a dozen photographers or more and ruling out the first cut based on price. We setup time to speak and meet with Tara and went out to her studio in Dogpatch. I think it must've started then and there. We lost track of time. We sat and blabbed in her studio for 3 hours. We didn't talk about what we wanted, well we did, but that took like 10 minutes, then we spent 20 minutes or less looking at photos, and after that we just talked. My fiance and I walked out in complete agreement, we found our photographer because she was a person we wanted and could see ourselves working with. Comfort doesn't begin to do justice to how good we felt about our choice. It was confirmed when we saw our engagement photos. We didn't see anymore photographers, we didn't need too, it was a done deal after that one meeting.
Ok, flash forward, we're in Hunter's point, dodging security, running from ruined facade to ruined facade. Kevin is on the ground, I'm in the air, Tara is on a knee, Irina is hands to hips. It's a comedy, a tragedy, a farce, a tall tale of coolness freeze frame fantastic! We get back to Tara's studio, open the bag of costumes and blam it happens: disaster, Irina forgot her jeans. No problem, super photog to the rescue. Tara offers her jeans, and dons Irina's dress and continues to shoot us wearing Irina's dress, with a bit of difficulty but pulls it off. yes yes yes, she's a bit taller than my fiance but it all worked out, we have photos in casual duds and in our sunday best all thanks to Tara's quick action and unabashed approach to work: whatever it takes to get the right shot. We're looking forward to seeing our photographers again that I don't hesitate to at this point call new friends. -

Arrowood is made up of 2 photographers, Tara and Kevin. They have a great photojournalistic style and are really energetic and fun. We met Tara at a bridal show and saw a few of her albums and were really impressed by her work. I really liked that they offer a mixed format album, so you get both the matted and magazine style in one book. We were able to meet with Kevin in their swanky mod loft studio in Potrero HIll and see more of their work. They offer several packages, and you can hire either Tara or Kevin or both of them ("the dynamic duo") to shoot your wedding. Their packages start at around $4,000.

Not quite sure why the previous reviewer only gave 4 stars, but we recently had the dynamic duo for our wedding and are VERY happy with the results. Tara and Kevin are consummate professionals throughout the process. They worked with us to ensure we got the shots we wanted, and they also worked with our other vendors. The photos of the engagement shoot and wedding were professional - they looked like the kind of shots you see on VH1 or 20/20, when they show snapshots of the most recent Hollywood wedding (could not say the same if it was not for my beautiful wife). Our guests also told us how cool they were and how much they loved the shots. If you want people who know what they are doing and execute flawlessly, they are the team for you. We recommend them without any hesitation.
