Always in fantastic condition. Layout can be challenging if you make it, but otherwise fairly forgiving for the average golfer. Beautiful holes on the back 9 and overall great views of Oceanside.

    Fantastic customer service as well.

Nice driving range and practice putting greens.

I'm a fairly new golfer but this place is one of my favorite to practice on. It's kind of hidden up in a neighborhood by the back entrance gate to Camp Pendleton but once you've come up on the course the ambiance takes you somewhere relaxing and beautiful.

The driving range is nice - as well as the practice putting area. The snack shop is simple, but delicious. The hamburgers are big and juicy. The pesto chicken wrap is probably my favorite thing on the menu. And of course it comes with your choice of chips and I can't usually resist Doritos. The Italian sub is sub-par (pun intended) - it was a little dry and not too substantial. I'd ask for extra italian if you are in the mood for it!

I have yet to play the full course - but am planning to soon! I can't wait - it looks beautiful.

This course has become a favorite of mine. I play it at least 2 times a month.  It has a great staff, and the course is challenging enough with great greens.  The have a good range and putting green also.

$50 off http://golfnow.com for this course was truly a treat.  Wide open on a Sunday afternoon.  The only thing that would have made this any better would be if my tee shots weren't ending up in the rough all day.

Besides an errant driver this place was a treat for the eye and the golf spirit.  Tee boxes were in very good condition and the greens were tough but fair and rolled true.  I would like them a little faster based on the hardness but now i'm just nit picking.

    We'll be back for sure.

Damn you, matthew m. Don't you work?

This golf course is so nice in the middle of oceanside. Got there on time and got out just as quickly as we got there. The greens are not as tough so great for me and lots of space if you are a beginner like me and shank the ball.

Such a great course. Probably one of the best and nicest course i have ever played so far in my 5 years of playing. Pro shop was very polite and very helpful and were able to get me out on the tee right away.

The course is in magnificent shape and all the golfers in front of me let me play through. I finished 18 holes in less than 3 hours! Municipals in Los Angeles are lucky if they can finish their front 9 in that time frame.

The only complaint I have during my round is the fact that they were aerating half of the greens at the time. But they made sure they placed the flags on the half that's already done.

Overall, best experience I have ever had on a golf course and recommend anyone to try this course out when they can. Will definitely play it again.

P.S. I played super twilight at 3pm and cost 32 bucks with cart on a Friday. Great deal.

Love the course, great greens, female friendly yet challenging. 18th hole is fabulous but one you won't forget.  Only downfall it's a bit pricey

I really like this course. It's one of the best public courses in San Diego County that's under $100. I have family that live just a few minutes from the course and I will definitely tee it up at Arrowood next time I'm in town.

I most recently played the course on 8/5/11 and it was in very good shape. The layout has a little bit of everything and players of all skill levels will enjoy it. I'm a 5 HDCP and I felt that the course was a good enough challenge from the back tees. The three finishing holes are fairly tough, all with false fronts on the greens that either reject your ball into a water hazard (16 and 18), or send the ball rolling back down a steep hill for quite a ways (17). The 16th hole also has a blind tee shot where you basically have to aim for a cloud if you can find one. At least that's the case from the back tees. Maybe you can actually see the fairway, or at least a hill if you tee it up somewhere else. High handicappers will loathe these finishing holes along with #12 due to the rather large ravine that guards the green. But, they do help to create a more balanced course since most of the other holes are not all that tough.

My complaints with this course are few and perhaps a little nit picky depending on who's reading this. I was dismayed to see houses being built close to the fairway on #12 during my most recent visit. By close I mean in the line of fire from the tee. Golf courses with encroaching houses really piss me off and I avoid them whenever I can. Arrowood gets a pass because it's only a problem on the 12th hole and I can deal with it since the course is otherwise fine. There are other houses around, but none are close enough to the course to the point where you worry about accidentally hooking a drive through someone's kitchen window. Raise your hand if you're guilty of doing that. (My hand is raised).

Why didn't I give it 5 stars? Because I save 5 star ratings for public courses like Pebble Beach.

great little course in the hills around Oceanside for a fun afternoon round, and probably one of the best courses under JC Golf management.

believe it is a younger course so not much in the way of trees with a fairly wide open layout that challenges you with severe elevation changes and large, but fairly quick greens that rise and fall like the Pacific Ocean.  the design is very straightforward, nothing gimmicky at all about this track, and in all honesty, it's not that difficult of a course.  very few, if not just one or two, of the tee shots require any carry...  and those holes that have dog-legs or blind greens from the tee leave you with plenty of margin for error when teeing off.  most of the difficulty comes from the fact you rarely have a flat lie as the course is laid out over some hills and valleys.

the other great thing about this course is the cost, one of the better golfing bargains i've ever played in California.

overall, a very enjoyable place to play if you're visiting in the area and looking for just a fun place to play.  many, many others will challenge your game more than Arrowood, but on a beautiful summer day in the greater San Diego area you can spend your afternoon playing courses much worse than this.

The company I work for had our 22nd annual inner office golf tournament here today. I enjoyed the course. The layout is challenging and fair. It is very good condition. The staff is great and really helped to make our tournament a real success!

I really like this course, the layout, greens and upkeep are fantastic. They have a habit of not telling you when calling for a tee time that they just punched the greens.  Showing up with a foursome and having to relocate is frustrating so make sure you ask ahead of booking. Challenging course, it will make you think.. Good food and reasonable food/beer prices and the course is never crowded because it is way to expensive.

Cant believe I'm the first to review this great course hidden in the boonies of Oceanside. We went out here today for a golf outing with a few members from our dept and had a blast. The course, although somewhat short, is very challenging and demands accurate approach shots. The fairways were in decent shape and the greens rolled very true. Holes 16 and 18 are absolutely beautiful. Make sure you have a earlier tee time so you can really enjoy the views of these finishing holes. Great photo opportunity. Pace of play on a mid-day Wednesday was quick. I didn't shoot too well but our group finished our round under 4 hours. The practice facilities is in great shape and there is plenty of parking everywhere. For you beer lovers, 3 domestics for $8.25!

Hey, I have tried golfing but I am not really a golfer.  This is a beautiful place.  What can I say, its walking distance from my house.  I used to jog while pushing my son's stroller to the golf course and back.  They didn't care that I was just there to stretch, sit and enjoy the scenery for a few seconds and head back to our house.  I think it will also be good to hold events at their restaurant.  Not that I have attended any.  A wine tasting event perhaps?
