We love Arris Pizza and consider it to be the best in town.

The pizza is thin-crust and there are numerous unique combinations available. My favorites are the "Black and Bleu" and "Sweet-N-Sassy" (mea/bleu cheese, hawaiian with jalepenos) I think they've changed the names to reflect Greek gods, but those names are still in the description.

They also have great salads...my favorite is the berry salad. I'll sometimes get the gyro as well.

Everything I've had has been fabulous, and the owners and staff are great people.

I'm not from Springfield, and probably will not get a chance to come back to Arris, but the food we had was good, service was acceptable, and we had leftovers!

For 4 of us we ordered 2 large pizzas to share.  We are all pretty big eaters and I was surprised we may have had a whole pizza left.  Both had tons of flavor and were enjoyable.

My only complaint would be the wait.  It was 8ish on a Friday night, but it was also unseasonably cold and with very little space to actually wait inside the restaurant, we were uncomfortable for about 20 minutes which made the wait seem even longer!

I started coming to Arris during my Drury days - nothing beats the Sunday buffet especially when you're in company of close family!  Now that I'm in Miami, I find myself craving the delicious pizza.  Thankfully my friend decided to get married in Springfield so I could cure the craving - which I gluttonously did.  I was parked and ready to enter opening time on Sunday.  Pizza, salad, and pasta buffet for $8?  Screw the pasta and salad, I saved all my room for their glorious pizza - bbq chicken is my fave, with close second to pepperoni.  I'm pretty sure the cheese/high quality ingredients is what sets the taste apart.  The service is killer and the man behind the buffet is a sweetie.

Side Note: I was anticipating this meal for weeks, prepping my boyfriend for the best pizza of his life.  We got in a minor dispute and he WITH HELD eating here to spite me.  20 minutes later (can I get a what what) we were back, in the car, eating take out Arris.  This boy needs to learn soon that I.AM.ALWAYS.RIGHT!  ESPECIALLY when it comes to damn good pizza!

Lots of people said "go to Arris, they have awesome pizza." They were all wrong. This pizza is low quality, even by Springfield standards. the sauce is entirely unremarkable, the dough is way too thin and limp - basically, it has no taste. It's essentially a small bump up in quality from a frozen pizza, but for 3x the cost. Seriously, are you kidding me?

My family travels through Springfield about 4 times a year, and it has become tradition to stop off at Arris Pizza! We love their pizza, we crave it when we are back home! Me and the kids love the straight up cheese pizza, while my husband always gets the George's with Canadian bacon. Their bruschetta is also delicious! The service is always very friendly and attentive. It is a great place to meet family and friends for a great lunch or dinner!

I'm beginning to think that Springfield is willing to settle for "less-than" pizza because the city has only offered "less-than" pizza.  Limp pizza crust, coupled with little to no flavor and an exorbitant amount of cheese does not make for good pizza.

I love this place.  It's the kind of place that after you have it you'll eventually crave it!  I read a few of the other reviews and tell you not to compare to other pizza places.  It is pizza with a greek twist.  The ingredients are top notch and maybe why you pay a little moire for their pie.  If you are cheap you probably should goto Papa John's down the street.  I always split a greek salad and a small pizza with the wife and that is more than enough for two unless you want to take a few slices to your hacienda.  Great ambiance and a favorite of some local legends and stars!

Fantastic pizza!  Seriously, I crave it.  And my guy, a native New Yorker and total pizza snob, was shocked by how much he loved it!  (All I've heard from for years is how bad pizza is outside of NYC, but he goes nuts for this place - quite a complement!)  Sure, it's not cheap like greasy, gross Domino's, but the quality is worlds above that.  If you get take out, be sure to order the pizza "half-baked" so that you can bake it the rest of the way at home.  This makes it taste soooo delicious.

Last time I was in town we got two large gourmet pizzas and a Greek Salad - $38 for 3 meals for 3 people = pretty damn good.

(Incidentally, the people there could not be nicer.)

Here's the deal: It's NOT New York pizza. It's NOT Chicago pizza. It's not some $30 California pizza bistro or Wolfgang Puck nonsense. It's Arris' , in Springfield, MO - and it's pretty damn good. The best we've found yet in Springfield, to be sure.

We had a medium, half House Special (sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, onions, peppers, hold the mushrooms) and half Hercules (meat lovers, basically). No one burped when we said we wanted 1/2-&-1/2, btw - it was "no problem!", unlike a number of places I've been to.

The crust was thin and crisp, without being burned. The ingredients were plentiful. The large chunks of made-on-site Italian sausage were tasty, but there wasn't the incessant grease that is so typical of many pizza places. The cheese is a mixture of Mozzarella and Provel (we asked), which we both liked a lot.  The ground beef was ground very fine, almost like you'd see in Greek hot-dog shops on the east coast.  Every bite had a mixture of all the ingredients on it. (it's cut in squares, which automatically makes it taste better...)

The cheesy-bread was soft, with the same cheese mix as the pizza, and we liked the dipping sauce - not screaming-tomato, but hearty.  The bread was a little bland, and could have had some more seasoning on it, but it was just plain cheesy bread - not some gourmet item for $15. The cheese bread, medium 1/2-n-1/2,  and a soda was $21.25 plus tip. Our lady treated us right. We left full to the brim - and we are two good-sized guys.

We went there on a Thursday night, and the place was busy but not packed, and the service was very attentive - our water and Diet Coke glasses were rarely empty long.

We will definitely be going back.

I too am a former NY'er and can't believe people are even trying to compare anything in Springfield.  There is nothing that compares to NY pizza.  And FYI, New York style does not = thin crust.  Big misconception here.  There was one place near division called New York Pizza which was very close, but everything else in Springfield is terrible.

However,  the gyros here are great and I go once a week simply to have their Bruschetta appetizer.  The best and freshest I have ever had and presented in a very unique way.  Please go just to sample this.  You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, this place is just fine with me. Just like the other reviews here have said, it is a bit pricy for what you get. Especially when that pizza is a thin crust, which, if you roll like me and get the cheapest possible, will not fill you up. Yes they have a bunch of different options for toppings and yes it is gourmet. But. Let's get specific.

So Arris has a bit of a reputation. Something something Brad Pitt. It is a bit of a classy pizza joint. If you took the brighter, open side of the place with the exposed kitchen  and combined it with the dark, formal, bar side they keep hidden with big wooden doors, you would get a Chicago style pizza place. For this visit we quite literally busted through the wooden doors so we could make it into the bar side before the 7:00pm Happy Hour deadline (we barely did) so we could get $1 off the premium bottles. They do indeed have several craft beer  bottle choices, so kudos Arris! For dinner we ended up getting a 10" Bruschetta pizza with a large caesar salad. We got the salad very quickly and I became immediately disappointed because the lettuce was quite rubbery and dry. Booooo. Our pizza came out shortly afterwards and did not disappoint. The crust was actually crispy and tasty. But somehow, the crust that ribbons around the pizza was still a little bit soft on the inside. Delicious. The whole thing was seasoned perfectly and had really nice, stretchy cheese combinations. Plus, offering roasted garlic on a pizza is awesome. Just sayin'.

So overall, if you want a nice, crispy thin crust pizza with a good balance and fresh tasting flavors, this is your place. Yeah, its a little pricey, but really, just about every pizza place is pricey these days. But honestly, this place and the Pizza House on Commercial are my two pizza joints in Springfield.

This is not the Pizza that I'm use to, but I'm growing to love it.  Their Pizzas come on a thin crispy crusts, and they have a very wide unique selection.  Several bottle beers to choose from and there house salad is really good with the pizza. Not the place for a hearty thick crust though.

Great place. Nice clean atmosphere and excellent customer service. Food is fantastic! Fresh and hot pizzas. While I was there, a farmer dropped off the tomatoes they use in their pizzas!!!! Ingredients are definitely fresh! There's a reason why the parking lot is always full!

Very yummy. Similar to The Pizza House as far as it's thin crust goes. The environment is really cool. Over all, a great place for a relaxed environment and tasty, thin-crust pizza.

The pizza is bleeping awesome. Nice sauce, perfect amount of cheese, crispy flaky crust, masterful sprinkling of herbs. Genius. The only thing about dining in is that the service is a little lukewarm (which is fine, I'm not there to make new BFFs but I've occasionally felt a bit rushed) and the ambiance is always a little off- it's a little crowded, the lights are u a bit high, that sort of thing. But, again, I'm not moving in or whatever so who cares. The pizza is amazing, it's close to St. Louis style without seeming derivative. Eat it.

The wait staff is nothing exceptional, but they get the job done.  Prices are definitely fair.  The pizza is 'okay' by true (Chicago) pizza standards, but it is one of the best places in this area due to lack of competition.  It would get a 5 star rating from me except for one clear fact - the owner is a complete jerk.  His arrogance and perception of self-importance shine like the midday sun.  The simple risk of facing him if we go there takes away from the experience.
