This company is no nonsense, no gimmicks, money tricks or anything you would expect from bigger chains. Father and son Italian team. Called these guys kind of last minute. They arrived on time and worked pretty quickly. Overall I was pretty happy with what they provided, and I would certainly use them again.
Here is the low down:
Minimum 2 hours (nice, most are 3-4 hours)
Cost is $80 per hour.
They have blankets & furniture wrap all provided with no extra charge. -

I used around town transfer back in February and have been meaning to write a review. These guys were great! Super nice, fast, hard working and on time. They shrink wrapped everything even though I told them they didn't have to since some of our furniture wasn't even worth shrink wrapping. They finished way within their 3 hours minimum, and everything made it to the new place without any damage to anything. I definitely would recommend!! I believe they charged $80/hr which was well worth it and very competitive.

All the reviews about Jim and his son are spot on. I found them here on Yelp and am so glad we chose them. They are friendly, hard-working, and extremely fair. They aren't like the other big moving companies that charge all the junk fees--Jim is straight forward and charges a flat fee.
We will be using them again when it is time to move our stuff from storage to the new house! I recommend them any day of the week! :) -

I was hesitant to hire movers that I didn't have a personal referral for, but these guys were great. Completely professional, quick and affordable. They were both great to deal with and made a hectic day way easier. I would refer them to anyone!

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. As someone else said, all the prior reviews are on the mark! Jim and Vinny are efficient, careful, and extremely personable. Despite moving less than a mile away from our old condo, my wife and I decided to hire some movers mainly because of a rather heavy and awkward reclining sofa we have that I wanted no part of moving. Of course we then decided to have them move all the heavy furniture stuff, which they did with a spring in their step and a smile on their face! They charge a flat hourly rate with no hidden fees and don't slow-play you at all. They are a father & son team who own their own business and are very aware that their reputation is everything. Cannot say enough positive things about A.T.T. Very highly recommended!!

I am extemely happy with our move. They showed up on time and were very careful and fast with the whole process, which I greatly appreciate. Jim and his son are very reliable, and efficient! I highly recommend!!!

This father and son team were great! I had decided to move in the middle of finals (clearly I didn't think things through) and started to panic when I realized how much I had to move and how little time I had. We called Around Town Transfer less than a week before the move and they turned out to be a great choice for a few reasons:
- They charge only $80/hour with NO hidden charges.
- They shrink wrapped my furniture for free.
- They disassembled and reassembled my bed for me.
- They were quick, efficient, and very careful.
I will definitely use them in the future! -

Father-son duo! These two guys (Jim and Vinny) are really fast and extrememly fair and friendly! I moved with another company a few years ago and there were so many hidden fees that they hit you with in the end. But not the same with Jim, he operates very fairly, no hidden fees, everything is up front and professional. I would certainly recommend these professionals if you're moving locally, it's totally worth the money!
They secured everything in the truck, so nothing was broken, honestly the way they loaded the truck was like watching a live game of tetris! Impressive!!

Jim was amazing! Before I hired Around Town Transfer, I made a mistake of hiring another company (A-B movers) on Craigslist. They really let me down and never showed up! I called Jim at 7 PM on a Friday, desperate for help.
They helped me with my move the very next morning, at a reasonable fee. They were prompt, reliable, and very careful. I am so grateful for their help and would recommend them to anyone. -

Used this company in a recent move, couldn't be happier with my choice in companies. I called four days before my scheduled move, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a company in such short notice. I spoke with Jim he gave me a free quote and stuck with it. That Saturday they showed up with all the necessary equipment right on time ready to work.
They were highly efficient, friendly, yet very careful with my furniture. They kept on schedule and were even done before the time they quoted me at which saved me money. Everyone I spoke with at Around Town Transfer was professional, courteous and hard working. I will definitely be using this company when/if I move again. -

I decided at the very last minute to use a moving company for my move to a condo. Other companies were already booked for the day or charged lots of different fees. This was not the case with Around Town Transfer. The father and son team were friendly, professional, efficient, and careful with my belongings. What I appreciated the most was that there were no hidden fees! That's right...just a straight hourly rate. I will definitely use this moving company again.

Jim and his son were perfect! I was able to arrange my move about a week in advance, and Jim was very easy to get in touch with when I had last minute questions prior to my move. On the morning of the big day, they were fantastic: their rate is fantastic, they move fast and work hard. I will definitely use them again.
