I continue my hunt for good coffee in the metro DC area. And I guess my hunt continues.
Aroma is a small coffee shop on the gound floor of an office building and I'm pretty sure that the people in that office are the main patrons. Nevertheless, the 2 person staff was very friendly and quick.
The man who made my coffee was good about steaming the milk. It was a bit (really really) hot though. But it's a shame about the beans, which were overroasted. Then again, I'm no longer shocked when I come across overroasted beans. I think I will be shocked on the day I find a shop with well roasted beans.
Anyway, I digress.
In general, not a bad choice for a cup of coffee. You can pick up breakfast and lunch here too. They even have outdoor, indoor seating. This basically means that the seats are outside of the cafe, but since the cafe is in the lobby of an office building, the seats are still indoors.
$5 min on credit cards. -

Stumbled upon Aroma while walking home from Trader Jos. Stepped inside to see what they had to offer. This review isn't about the drinks because I couldn't even get to that. I was having a quick conversation on the phone with my grandmother and I was not about to cut her off to order a drink so i sat down and proceeded to talk on the phone for about 2 minutes. I stood up to get in line while saying bye to my grandma and the worker RUDELY told me to step outside to talk on the phone despite that 1)my conversation was ending and was quiet to begin with
2) i was clearly in line about to order
and 3) there was construction outside!
I do not care how good their coffee may be, no worker should treat a costumer like that! i will never go back and will not recommend.
The menu looked bland and overpriced anyways.
