This place gets a bit cramped, so we took a little stroll outside and it was very nice. I love that they have an outside patio place with some chairs too. Not bad Arnie's... but too bad I came by so late now that I'm back in Austin.

Arnie's is everything I love about a good dive bar without the things that usually drive me away from dives.  Ladies, the bathroom was passably clean.  Can I just have a moment to appreciate the rarity of a clean bathroom in a dive bar?  'Cause seriously, that just doesn't happen.

They've got great beer specials, super friendly barkeeps, and an enjoyably diverse crowd.  I love the patio at night under the trees full of lights.

Only been here once, but it gets 5 stars easily. The owner was working/bartending that nite, he's a wicked cool and legit man and proud of his business.

This bar made me feel like I  was back in Boston (Southie)-- kind of.

Easy to meet people, have a chat. Very diverse crowd. I wish I had spent more time at Arnie's during my stay in Tulsa.

They have wi-fi. I used my computer at the bar.

Stopped by here for a nightcap my last night in Tulsa.  This bar is pretty cool...it's an old style Irish Pub.  I love the old school feeling of it.  There are a few bars around the area, but on this night (Tue), this bar was the busiest.

The front bar is kind of small and was tight to move around.  The full length shuffleboard makes it kind of difficult to get around the tables when it's packed.  There's several areas....a patio, rear dining room, front bar.....not sure if there was anything else, but those areas were open the night I was there.

I parked myself in the front bar at a table and enjoyed a locally brewed Marshall IPA.....very good beer.  I was only able to have one beer though as I had to get up early to check out and catch a plane back home.

Will I return?  Next time I'm in Tulsa, you bet!

Classic Irish local in downtown Tulsa.

I experienced Arnie's on a night out with old friends while visiting Tulsa. We had quite a few pints behind us already (from McNellie's), but my friends insisted that I had to have at least one more at Arnie's.

I'm glad we did. Arnie's Bar reminds me of the true, working-class Irish pubs where locals get together after a long day and nary a tourist is found. It may not be pretty, but by God it has soul. If we had started drinking at Arnie's, I'm not sure we ever would have made it to McNellie's.

    Sláinte!!!

Arnies is one of if not the oldest bar in Tulsa.

Great place where EVERYONE is accepted! Everything from the suits getting off work to randoms getting off the Greyhound bus.

Friendly staff and live music. Has shuffle board and darts. Also has a great seatting area outside.

Small, shotgun style and can get smokey.

Came here on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends. Even though it still feels like 100 degrees after dark we decided to sit on the patio. This sums up our experience. I read the special board informing us that "Man Cans" were only $3. Me to the bartender, "What's a Man Can?" Bartender pulling out a huge 24 oz Coors Light, "This." Me, "We'll take three!" You can't really say no to a $3 24 oz beer. Thanks Arnie's Bar for providing my friends and I with a good laugh and cheap drinks.

Five stars for being a Tulsa institution.

The original was on Cherry street but the "new" location is even better. The original used to be an alley--literally. It was about ten feet wide and fifty feet long, the dust on the wall clutter was an inch thick and the urinal was an industrial sink at knee level. It had it's charm, but the new location is larger and airier with outdoor seating.

The multi-day St. Pat's party is legendary.

I'm from out of town, so I don't know if it's at all a typical Tulsa experience for a middle aged stranger to tell you that history will show that the current president was a genius, and that he distrusts most professors because they're too idealistic and they depend too much on books.  But the guy bought me a drink, and talking to strangers is what bars are all about, right?

For a small place there's actually a good selection of beers (30+), with specials such as $1 Killians on Saturdays.  There may be more microbes living indoors than out, and I recommend the beautiful tree-filled patio.

    Best downtown bar.

They have the special written on the chalk board in the hall, I just buy what ever that is.

The green couch in the back room is the best seat in the place. Also they feature a shuffleboard table.

With credit cards, they usually require a $10 minimum charge.

Great little hole in the wall irish bar. Has local irish bands often. Great drink specials.
Tends to suck on the weekends with drinks and beers not poured with care.

Arnie's Bar is a legend in downtown Tulsa, with an Irish pub theme, a shuffleboard along the back, and an easygoing group of locals who welcome out of town guests. We took a seat at the bar and quickly noted that they had Boulevard Wheat on tap. It was a happy sign on a dreary day. Our bartender, Christina, was uncannily attentive to her guests as she worked on a scrapbook for her sister's upcoming graduation. We made small talk at first, but soon we were happily chatting away about Arnie's famous St. Patrick's celebration, Christina's love of Kelly's Pub in Kansas City, and our Travelpod blog. I mentioned Christina's uncanny ability to know what people want and how to get it...at one point, my GFlly and I were talking to one another about our mission to get a great photograph of Trina the Kokeshi doll in Tulsa. I remarked that I wished I could find somewhere to put her that would showcase Arnie's logo. The next thing I know, Christina handed me two plastic Arnie's cups. Perfect! Later, I remarked to GF that all I needed to be completely happy was a pizza. Christina handed us the menu to a pizza place right around the corner and told us they would deliver to Arnie's Bar only. She even made the call to place the order, and called again later to check on why it was taking so long. The long and short of it - Christina was the coolest chick and the best bartender ever. We thought about going back many times over the next two days, but we knew Christina wouldn't be there, so we skipped it.

Arnie's is a must do in Tulsa!

i would give you a five arnie....but smoking is such a turn off. however, it does not keep me from enjoying whiskey at the bar while listening to some rad local music. the patio is a little oasis right off the street...the back room is good for...as much as you'd like it to be =) i've been told not to relax too long on the couch though...one can only imagine really. it's a lovely kelly green for one thing.

cheers to you, a place where i could see everyone knowing my name...and not for the stories associated with the couch.

Hard core Irish bar.  It's a bit of an acquired taste.  Definitely no interior designer influences.  They have an interesting eclectic flow of live music and some good whiskeys.

Had a great time at this bar. Patrons were great to have a drink with. Bartenders were fast and took care of me all night. Alex and the Anders were playing and were the only ones that were having a better time than I had. Hit them up when your in town. Good for drinks late night.
