Not half-bad for a tourist trap.   I've been to the Armory Pub twice now, and you won't do better for burgers and beers in the Harper's Ferry historic area.  I particularly recommend the Bleu Cheese Burger with Bacon.   My tablemates approved heartily of the pale ale, the chili, several other burgers, and the club sandwich.

The indoor seating isn't precisely comfortable (tables and benches), since the main building hasn't been much updated from its 1837 origins, but there is interesting historical whatnot abounding, and the outside deck is very comfy, with a view second only to the one up the hill at the Secret Six.

I never expected to find a place that was both reasonably priced and tasty when stopping in the Harpers Ferry's Lower Town area (read: very touristy) for dinner.  The building is gorgeous, and the outdoor seating is plentiful, and offers a nice view of the train station and rail traffic.

13.95 for a plate of lettuce with ham and cheese on top. That was the "chef's salad". The burgers looked ok, but I didn't have one. They also didn't have the local beer they promoted on the menu.

Don't be wooed by the servers who hang out at the front entrance.  The food is unimaginative, bland and pricey.  You could really tell the place was poorly managed both in the back and in the front.  My husband got the burger with swiss and portabella mushrooms but received cheddar and a worn out 'shroom cap. I got the shrimp and avocado sandwich- boring.  The waitress quickly brought drinks, but it took a long time to receive the food and check.  They tout their daiquiris, so maybe try those if you are looking for a cool, alcoholic drink.
