As another reviewer said...the fish burrito is wonderful. Also love the beef burrito...tons of onions and peppers mixed in with the shredded beef...it's juicy though, so I get it doubled wrapped. Hot sauces are tasty too. Sorry they did away with the FREE carrots...but they still have them for purchase. Great cheap eats.

This is based off of one visit and I will visit later and give it another shot, if at that point they blow me away i will correct this review. However as it stands right now I would rather call this place Ardonto"s because it is just mediocre Mexican food. There is far more better in the area for about the same price. The place is out dated and dingy (like most fast Mexican places). The cook put my order together which were like 5 items in like 10 minutes, I thought to myself well either he is really good or just doesn't give a crap, Later as I was "enjoying" my "food" I realized he did not care one lick. I would say faster than McDonald's and the quality is about the same too.

Best authentic Mexican food around. Have been eating here for over 17 years & still love it. Great prices & service. (best hot sauce too!)

Review from Andy H.
I've been going to this place ever since I was a teenager. It's too bad they changed from 24hrs to selected closing times. I prefer this place to the overpriced and hyped Albertacos. Who the heck wants to wait forever for an overpriced and CALI burrito in a crowded drive thru? But I get why they changed from 24hrs to actually being closed. The location is completely horrible. If you didn't drive by the Stater Bros, you wouldn't even know it's there!
The prices are pretty fair and they are flexible about making your order to suit your taste. I also find that they have a wider selection than Albertacos. I believe they just began taking debit/credit cards but there is a surcharge... (not sure how legal that is). But I'm not complaining.
I'd recommend getting the chimichanga or carne asada fries (skinny fries, not the thick ones). Or my favorite, a California burrito but instead of carne asada, you ask for pollo asado. The chicken is not dried out like the carne asada (A.K.A. the California Chicken Burrito).
Note: not many places include sour cream in their California burrito even though that's a STANDARD ingredient. However, at Armando's, its standard. -

Came here at the recommendation of my Yelper BFF, Andy. He recommended this place as he has been coming here for years.
Items tried:
CA Burrito: Honestly, this is the first time I've tried a Cali burrito, and OMG, it's soooo good!!! The mixture of the carne asada, fries, cheese, sour cream, guac, and salsa fresco was a great combo. I think I was missing some fries on my half of the burrito, tho.
Pollo Asado Fries: I've never had PA on my fries. I've always ordered the carne asada fries. Different, and the seasoning used was good. I really liked how the chicken chunks were tender, and I believe they used dark meat (which I prefer). Portion was really generous, and we didn't even finish. Andy ordered the fries "crunchier", which definitely made the difference with the thinly sliced french fries. I still prefer the CA fries vs. the PA fries, but I'm glad I tried something new. Next time, we'll order the half CA and half PA fries, which he indicated they are able to do.
It was noted that they are able to customize without question. The employees are really friendly, and I attempted a conversation with the guys behind the counter. Pretty small hole in the wall in a hidden shopping center. It's a shame that the location is horrible. Orders came out to be $11.20. Reasonably priced with the amount of food you get.
I'll definitely come back to try other items. -

Armando's is my go to Mexican place for a weekday lunch. Yup Im the fish burrito guy...I always walk up to the counter like "OK...I'm going to get something different..." but almost never do. I know! I know!
I have been going here for the last 5-6 years since I moved into an apartment across the street. I have since moved across town, but still stop in for lunch once a week or so.
Pretty typical taco shop...not great decor, but not bad. Food is always good, prices are always low. Service is always very fast, even with a line out the door. I much prefer this place to the "Roberto's" down the street.
Try out the fish burrito of course...But you gotta try the carne asada or pollo asada chimichanga. It is $.25 more than the regular burrito and it is huge...loaded and very tasty!
Break to "...berto's" mold and try them out! -

This place is pretty good but they aren't 24hr and don't have a drive through. I usually ask for a bean & cheese burrito and quesadilla combo here, but, usually the price is different whenever I pay.
They have two different red salsas. One of them is pretty eww while the other is good. -

Live nearby for over 7 years and didn't know what a treasure Armando's is!!
Now in a month, I've eaten there at least 7 times -- and love the shrimp fajitas, 8 large shrimp, plenty of grilled onions, tomatoes, peppers, etc. and refried beans, rice, tortillas -- and all the sauce you choose to pour on!!
The steak fajitas also delicious and plenty to eat.
I can walk out a happy full tummy for under $10, with soda, with tip extra.
So glad to have found this restaurant ... although it seems more of a take-out -- I like eating in ... even though the temperature is a bit chilly inside, so I wear a jacket.
The friends I've taken also enjoyed the food they ate!! -

This place has been here forever and keeps getting cleaner somehow. Take cash, and get a beef taco. They are HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGE!!! It isn't the greatest spot locally, but I love the beef tacos which are far superior to any other local spots. Otherwise, divey as hell.

Street tacos (Abodabo) with grilled onions are the best!!! I eat here at least 2 times a week. Prices are good and the re-fried beans are great.

im not their biggest fan. food is done within a minute! I kid u not! u order, u pay u leave. but the taste isnt the best and obviously the ingedients arent as fresh as most places. their employees are pretty rude as well. just go to albertacos down the road.
also they charge 45 if u use a credit card for purchases under a certain amount. -

After finding out that they use lard to cook their foods I no longer dine at Armandos. If you don't mind eating lard, order the carne asada chimichanga. It tastes great, but your next stop may be Tri-City Hospital!
