Review from Erin S.
Santa Rosa, CA
Armagh Vineyards is a 11 acre plot of Pinot, Chard, and Syrah. They sell their grapes to other wineries, such as Landmark. This vineyard is part of the Sonoma Coast Appellation in an area known as "The Petaluma Gap" They keep their own single acre of Syrah and produce around 200 cases.
I had the wonderful opportunity of sharing a bottle of wine with Gayle in her kitchen. She opened her 2005 Armagh VIneyard Syrah, which really made my mouth water. I am a sucker for cool climate Syrah's. This wine had a beautiful dark ruby color with light nutmeg aromas, plums, tobacco, barnyard. Very smooth and one of those wines that continues to open up. Took home a couple...would have bought more if it wasn't cash only.
Wonderful experience! Gayle was great!
