This was our first time going to this restaurant.  We are a picky bunch as a family.  And this restaurant delivered.  The food was made to our taste (which is milder than most Indian foods) and the food tasted much fresher, like it was prepared hours ago and not days ago.  The service was a bit troubling at points but the food made up for it.
The selection is fantastic.  The vegetarian dishes are great but there is a nice variety of non-veg dishes.

Reluctant 2 stars (more like 1.5) to this god-awful joke of a restaurant.

Where, oh where to begin? This "Restaurant" has upscale ambitions, but does not deliver in any regard. Attempt is made to create a blend of Indian and European cuisines, similar to what PF Chang's does for Chinese food, however this attempt has failed miserably.

First keep in mind that this place is expensive, especially for an Indian restaurant. You can spend $50+ per person for dinner easily. For that price, one would expect certain quality of food and service, but you won't get it here.

Food is not "fusion" food by any means. They do not serve Indian-American or Indian-French dishes, they serve Indian dishes and American dishes ( you can order Tandoori or Naan from one menu and burgers and fries from another ). Why two menus, you ask? Who knows, the waitress did not have any explanation. To confuse the customers would be my guess.

Food from the American menu is below average - no finesse at all in creating the dishes, I daresay one can get a much better burger in Fuddrackers or Taco Mac or some such place, at half or quarter of the price.

Food from the Indian menu was average. I would go as far as to say that butter chicken was actually good, other dishes I tried were not. Naan was awful - and that's a good indicator of overall quality, such a basic element of Indian cuisine.

But if the food was slightly below average quality and heavily overpriced, it's still an order of magnitude better than the service. The waitress was rude, self-important, unwelcoming, unpleasant, not at all knowledgeable about the food she was serving, nor about rules of common dining etiquette. I'm guessing her only previous experience in the food industry was in fast foods. The management should be ashamed of this "service".

I could go on and on, but what would be the point?

    In short - STAY AWAY.
