We've been taking our 2 dogs and cat to Arlington Animal Clinic for years and couldn't be happier. Drs. Cole & Schickler have always provided the best care, gone above & beyond for us & our pets, been very open to alternative treatments & our animals LOVE them. One of our dogs went through a period of time (as a puppy) when he was very sick & ended up needing to see a specialist at a larger animal hospital. They were amazing & recommended an incredible specialist. The fact the dog who had to visit the vet frequently for shots, treatments & tests still showers the docs & technicians with kisses every time we visit truly says something incredible about Arlington Animal Clinic. We feel lucky to have found such amazing vets.
To reviewers who have commented that it's a busy clinic & sometimes hard to get appointments/call backs -- that's no surprise in healthcare. As with healthcare for humans, you need to be a proactive & persistent patient because they are a busy clinic & get frequent urgent cases. Don't give up. They're awesome! -

Very nice vets and vet techs, clean facility, hardly any wait time, great pet care.

We've had a great experience bringing Ellie, our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppy, to see Dr. Cole at the Arlington Animal Clinic. In fact, I have to praise the whole staff-everyone is so kind and I get a good vibe from the environment. Dr. Cole is very good at explaining options and guiding us to the best treatment/care for our puppy-we've seen several vets as we own several animals and by far are most impressed with this clinic. Two thumbs up!

We have been bringing our ferrets here for the past 3 years to get their annual vaccinations and inspections. The facility is clean and nicely laid out with plenty of space for people with large dogs or cages.
We always see Dr Morrison and she has been great with the ferrets and my questions. She had to give one of our little guys some emergency care, everything turned out fine, and I'm glad he was in her hands.
They don't see a lot of ferrets at this office, so they can't do all of the services you might need, but we have been so happy with the staff and care, that we go there for all the normal stuff. -

Just moved back to the area from Canada and had to find a new vet. I was a a bit worried as it can be so touch and go with vet's. So many have terrible bed side manners. I should know, my brother is one! After reading loads of reviews on Yelp I decided to go all the way up to Arlington Animal Clinic even though I live closer to at least two other practices.
Well, my drive with my kitty yowling in his carrier was the right thing to do as this AAC is wonderful. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient.
The waiting area is bright and clean.
I took my 4 year old kitty in to see about what appeared to be the sheded part of a claw that had ingrown into the paw pad.
Dr Cole came in bright and friendly and was just wonderful with my kitty.
She examined him and told me that he actually had a corn. Well I was very relieved to hear that. (I didn't know kitties can get corns!)
She had the super nice nurse hold my kitty so she could show me how to keep it trimmed. I also asked her about kitty's ears and she showed me how to clean them as well. I talked to her about getting a lion cut for him and also about his weight. Dr. Cole was very helpful and so friendly. She didn't rush me though the appointment and was happy to answer all my questions. I was so impressed with her. She is wonderful.
And get this, when I went to pay my bill at the front desk she came out and said "no charge, that was easy!" I asked her if she was sure and she said "absolutely." How nice was that? They are my vets for life.
She also called back with some info about a lion cut for my kitty and she left a super nice message for us.
The best vet ever!
Thanks Dr Cole. (-; -

I've been bringing my 17 year old cat to Arlington Animal Clinic since moving to Somerville about 8 years ago- now I live in Cambridge and still bring her there.
Sometimes the front desk staff can leave a little to be desired. Some of them are very friendly, others are all about just getting the work done.
However - the doctors and nurses are GREAT. Honestly great. Over the years I've seen several different dr's there all with no complaints. My favorite is of course Dr. Wolcott-Schickler, she is kind and caring and it seems like she really honestly does want to help you and your pet in any way she can.
And although they see a ton of animals, they are easy to get an appointment with as long as you can come during a weekday. Saturdays are of course tougher.
But really, if you're in the area I HIGHLY recommend this place for your fur-baby! -

I started bringing my puppy to the Arlington Animal Clinic in late August and overall have been very pleased. My puppy has had a lot of minor health issues to clear up and at first I was very frustrated with what I felt was a delayed response to my semi urgent phone call. However, I really feel that since then, Dr. Shickler and Stacie (one of the nurse/technicians) have gone above and beyond to be incredibly attentive and helpful. I think the people at the front desk could possibly be a little more professional and organized but I can get over that because the vets and techs are so great.

I've been bringing my dog to Arlington Animal Clinic for about 2 years and I am really pleased with all their services. We usually see Dr. Cole, but on occasion when we see the other vets, they are also fantastic. The staff is always helpful, and it can get a little busy, but they are so caring and my dog actually likes going there!

I have been bringing my two cats here for years and have always had wonderful experiences. The vets here care for their patients as if they were their own. Dr. Cole is our main vet but we've seen all of the vets and they all provide expert care. The nurses give the patients a lot of love and attention. I feel lucky to have them so close by.

I'm pretty sure all vets in boston are a bait and switch. Once you've been once, they treat you like crap from there on out. I am at a loss with Emma, been waiting for an "immediate call back" for about 3 days now. I've called 100 times, busy signal. Just called 20 minutes ago, should get an immediate call back any time now. We'll see. Too many dogs in there at all times and they don't have time to deal with just one at a time.

Just went for the first time yesterday with my 11-year old Lab. Max was so comfortable here he actually fell asleep in the waiting room! (this is because I was way too early - I wasn't sure about parking - not because they were behind schedule). As for parking there was plenty and we were there at 9:30am. Nice little neighborhood to walk your dog around before going in. Sign in was a breeze, Dr. Wolcott-Schickler was great. Max is none to fond of docs, but he was not so bad with her so that says a lot! The waiting area is big enough to keep dogs separated if one is not too friendly. The exam room was bright and clean. Overall 4 paws up!

Arlington Animal Clinic is awesome!! The people are friendly and you can really tell they all have a genuine love and passion about animals.
Fabulous care, reasonable rates (especially compared to nearby spots like Porter Square Vet!), easy parking and clean facilities-what more could you ask? -

I have been bringing my dog to Arlington Animal Clinic since she was 10 weeks old. She is almost a year old now, and because of skin allergies has been to the vet more than most puppies. I have seen Dr Cole and Dr Morrison and I love them both. They have such a genuine love for animals and they put my dog at ease righ away. I particularly love how positive, calm and reassuring Dr. Cole is while trying to figure out my bulldoggs allergies. It's heartbreaking to see my dog uncomfortable and sometimes Im nearly in tears when I bring her in, but Dr Cole always makes us both feel better. I am grateful to have found such a gifted and trusted Veterinarian.

Arlington Animal Clinic is great! My puppy, Rosie, and I love Dr. Cole. Rosie has had a surprising number of health issues during her young life and Dr. Cole has been wonderful in all her interactions with both me and my pup. She is clearly compassionate about animals and patient with anxious owners. Dr. Cole gives out her email address and she gets back to me at all hours --- which I totally appreciate. All the nurses I've met at the clinic have been great too. I feel so lucky to have this great vet right in my neighborhood!
