Just had this company move me. My apt was 795 sq ft and i had everything boxed and taken apart for them when they arrived as to make the move easier. I moved exactly .83 miles down the road and the move took over 4 and a half hours.
I am not exactly complaining, but for the cost of $383.00 i could have done it myself by just renting a truck and having a friend help. They were friendly and did not break anything, but next time i will do it myself or have a company come out and bid my move.
If you have heavy furniture then this is a good options as they were careful with my things, but for the cost versus the actual work/Time i would move myself on the next go around. -

Had a two hour window scheduled and at 15 til the end of the window, i thought i'd call to find out what the eta was...yeah, they were not en route or anywhere close to it. after i hung up i got a call from the "movers." they were stuck on another job with no eta. ten minutes later a different crew was free. so an hour later they show up complaining that they were supposed to be off already. very professional.
they moved things fast enough, breaking only one item. first time movers broke something. no offer to pay. after all was said and done, it wasnt worth dealing with them--
the crappy part of the story comes once we get to our destination. the one mover felt the need to insult my destination home. was he after a bigger tip? he was a the lazy one, making the other guy do most of the work. he was also the one to complain when i requested that they not slide heavy furniture over my wood floors.

They say one thing, and then they do another. I had a pretty much NIGHTMARE of a moving experience by selecting AZ Discount Movers. After reading online reviews, I thought this seemed like a good company to choose...NOT AT ALL!!! I was between this company and Joe's Smooth Move. My friend used Joe's and loved it, but the lower rate and good reviews (maybe bad reviews don't get up here?) made me select AZ Discount Movers. Let's go over the positives first - short list - I eventually received my belongings. Okay - the negatives -- they were supposed to show up between 4-5pm and arrived at 5:30pm, and due to them being late I could not move in because of my HOA rules. The company owner, John, was not helpful at all. I had to agree to pay for an hour MORE than it would take just to be able to get my stuff the next day. What BS! On top of that, I was quoted a $60 one-time service fee (and still have that post-it note in my office with all the rates) and I ended up with a $80 fee...ripped off!!! And lastly...there was little to no care taken in moving my items. "Discount movers" must mean hurry up at all costs and get to the next move. When I pointed out scratches on my headboard, I ended up later seeing marker over the scratches they made. I have original (expensive) art and I was assured it would be wrapped...nope - never happened, even after I asked. So far, I've noticed damage on 5 items...and I'm still in the unpacking and organizing stage. When I finish my unpacking process, I doubt a phone call to John the owner would even be worth it...you think a small business would want happy customers, but he was anything but accommodating. They will NEVER be getting my business or recommendation...I suggest you go with Joe's Smooth Move instead too. The maybe $50-100 extra it will cost will be worth it when your art, picture frames, wood furniture, and more arrive intact.

As long as someone was around to keep somewhat of an eye on them, they did a good hard-working job. But as soon as we would leave for a while we'd come back catching them going very slowly and thus upping the $$ notably. Around 11:35am they had finished, and were chatting each other up and then chatting me up for a while, had some drinks and snacks near their truck, then around 12:05pm approached me for payment. I noticed on the receipt they were charging me until 12:30pm. When I questioned this, he said "Geez it's almost 12:30." I said no, it's 12:07pm per my cell AND his watch. He rolled his eyes and adjusted the hourly rate to 12:15pm, which I agreed to. I hate to sound like such a major cheapskate but I find it disingenuous and downright shitty to squeeze me an extra $85/hour.

The company provided a two hour window and then arrived early. The movers were nice enough, but I was a little angry upon receiving the final bill. As I recall, I was told they charge 65 an hour and an 8% fuel charge. They also charge you 65 dollars for travel/transport? AND (which I know I was not told before hand) they have a two hour minimum. That left a bad taste in my mouth fwiw.
