Ladies, this is your one stop shop if you need to purchase a gift or two for that special guy in your life.  Aristocrats carries some of the most trending and elite brands in men's street wear; such as 'Black Scale', 'Crooks & Castles', 'Lafayette', '5th Column', and 'Dearly Departed' to name a few.   They also carry their own 'Aristocrats' brand with various t-shirts and hats.

Aesthetically, the store is beautiful and laid out immaculately to help you browse through the different shoes, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets and hats. What's more, the staff is fantastic.  For the most part, they leave you alone to peruse and ponder your selections.  As soon as you have a question or want to see something in another size, they are all over it.  There isn't any sales pressure.  If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, the staff is happy to point you to another boutique that may carry it -  I appreciate that.

I can't wait to check out their newest boutique in LA!  Thanks again, Aristocrats!

Been passing by this place for a while, but it was always closed when I was in the area. I always glanced into the window, and it always looked like they had some pretty stylish stuff. One day I walked by and it happened to be open so I walked in. There was a few guys hanging out in the shop and I immediately didn't feel welcome. I got a " this is our hang out, what are you doing here " vibe. They didn't welcome me, just a couple of mumbles I couldn't make out. I started browsing the clothes and still there was no communication such as, " May I help you ", or a " looking for anything in particular? ". Nothing.
Feeling incredibly awkward I finally just left. And of course there was no " goodbye "or " have a great day ".

As far as the clothes were concerned, the t-shirts were alright, and the jackets were awesome in my opinion. But the people who work there killed it for me.

We stumbled upon this place after we had lunch at Omogari. They're right across the street from them. BF and I decided to check it out. They have brands such a Rogue Status and other types around that era brands. The guy who helped us was pretty friendly and informative. They're products are cool and you can't find it in a lot of places. Not impress with the shirts designs but it's such a small store and maybe they're still trying to establish their business and what "LOOK" they're looking for, so don't expect much and for them to be like the boutiques you find in SF HAIGHT district. Anyways the BF ended up getting a Rogue status he has never seen in any stores before.

Only down side was that there's this guy who looks like a crack head hanging around inside the store and looking at you. I couldn't figure out if he's part of the team or not. It just makes their customers confused and uncomfortable so please to the owners, if you want your business to last then keep your business place as a business and not a hang out place.
Plus consider that your shop is small, you should save the space for your costumers don't cha think?

I'll come back if ever I can't find any other shirts anywhere for the bf.

+2 stars for the service and unique products
-1 stars for the weird people that hangs around the store.
-star for not having enough varieties.

Made a quick stop with my friends before dinner. This place is pretty neat. There's a shoe section and variety clothing for men that are up to date and trendy. I didn't buy anything but I do want to come back when I have time and maybe purchase one of their crew neck sweaters for myself. Just had to make a review that the guys were really nice and were'nt one of those types that stare you down or ask you a billion questions when you just want to look around.

This boutique store is pretty awesome since it roots its heritage in a store like it in Southern California on the famous Melrose st called "Suru".

Suru actually had its foundings in Linkin Park so there are tons of very interesting art, prints, accessories and clothing in the store. Since Suru and Aristocrat have similar vendors, you know this store's gotta be good.

The setup is simple, neat, clean. You can see most things at one glance. They have cool tshirts and hoodies, but the most interesting stuff is always on the back wall. There, on the display case, lies some unique collabo's that certain brands have done with other designers or brands. You are sure to always find something exclusive and intriguing there. They even have an awesome line of designer G  Shocks unlike many other stores that just carry Casio's normal line.

The owner is exceptionally friendly, make this a stop by if you're looking for an interesting browse or want to acquire some cool accessories!

This boutique is on point! This place is always organized and clean. They have a great selection on clothes such as the various brands and styles. Also, it helps that they are stocked; they usually have the size I need. The staff is extremely helpful. Also love the fact that its located in Japan town.

    Overall, I love shopping here.

Real up-scale feeling here. I first found out about this place 2 years ago at one of the festivals in Japantown. They have some nice stuff here. None of the real hyped urban brands, but their merch is dope. Their shirts and hats are pretty inexpensive *$30* but that stuff isn't really what catches your eye. It's their hoodies, jackets, and pullovers. This can be anywhere from $120-$200. They also got a little counter with some G-shocks, shades, and beanies.

The owner is pretty chill. Real friendly. When I walked in he was talking to a bunch of his friends. But he's more than happy to go out of his way to help you out.

Only down side is they have no jeans.. Or pants or anything. But that's whatever haha.

Esco and I had stepped into the bright, crisp, and clean shoppe on a whim before dinner a couple doors down.  Our first steps in, Ian (http://twitter.com/ari...) friendlily greeted us and let us know what the sale items and deals were, directing me to the distant wall of menswear lids and kicks while Esco browsed the womens wear by the register, picking out a couple things right away...

The store has some clean gear, keeping a decent stock of new and fashion forward brands and makes; from shoes, to tees, to caps, and jackets, they've got some nice nice swag. In addition to wears, they've also got a couple nice display cases of high end branded accessories and kitsch collectibles, everything from watches and sunglasses to Bearbricks and Dunnys, to $$$ Dr.Dre headphones.

The displayed pieces/articles of clothing are sparse, sometimes a single item hangs by its lonesome; this is probably to accentuate the chase, the idea that what you're getting isn't going to be found en masse, you're elite. It's a savvy tactic. I likes.

If you see something you like, but the one on display isn't your size, ask the staff, they're eager and friendly.  The assistance we got (from Ian) was topnotch!  Esco found something she was feeling, and the staff went to the storeroom and found her one her size.

A nice addition to San Jose's (slow growing) market of urban boutiques. We'll definitely be back.

preface: I am not a sneaker head.

I am a t-shirt kind of guy and have been since high school. I pride myself on wearing stuff almost nobody else has. I have printed my own shirts in the past just to have a one of a kind.

Aristocrats fits my needs. They carry very unique and underground brands that print limited edition shirts. I really don't care about the limited edition aspect. I buy it because I like it, not because some blog tells me it is the latest and greatest (kids, don't drink the cool aid the media is feeding you, formulate your own style.)

This shop is not for everyone. The average shirt price of a t-shirt  is $30. Price is what you pay and value it what you get. I get a unique product that you cannot find at your run of the mill department store.

Some might categorize this as an urban hip-hop shop. Maybe, but the products they carry are solid and one of a kind. I am not a "urban wear" guy but am able find unique stuff here.

The store is very clean and minimalist. Utilizing the less is more approach. They usually showcase what is new, if you don't see your size, they most likely have it in the back.

Ian and Jeff are nice guys to chat with even if you don't buy anything.

Pretty nice boutique, I believe it is where the toy store used to be. Good riddance, you could never figure out when it would be open.

I'm just super confused as to why the women's section requires you to pop a squat to peruse the rack. So they can see my ass crack? How low can I go? Maybe put the toys down and the women's clothes to eye level, so that I will be more inclined to look at the Dimepiece items. I was stuck debating between two Dimepiece items to remember what else they had. I think I saw some Mishka womens apparel. Good job on getting on the DP game for sure.

    Not too many shoes...

Some Breezy Excursion (support local brands! nice!) and some other forgettable brands for guys. A bunch of Star Wars mighty mugs, and cool Bear Bricks. They just opened, so I will definitely come back and see what other tricks they have up their sleeves.

Customer service just okay. I think if less people hung out there, it would probably take the focus back on us, but I wouldn't dock the star. They said hey there, told us to ask if they needed a size or help.

All in all, definitely a place to check out. I'm really excited to see some more "streetwear urban boutiques" ( I overheard one of the employees say that over his phone call) in San Jose and I think Aristocrats is a great addition to livening up Japantown San Jose.

This place has never let me down.  I come here to shop for my guy friends who have a particular urban street wear style that I can never find in the mall.  Honestly, I might be able to find something but I don't have the time to look.  I love coming here because I know it will take me no more than 15 minutes to find something and leave happy.

The store is nice and clean and I like the layout.  They have each shirt visibly folded for customers to see; all you have to do is ask for the size you want and they go to the backroom to get it.  This alleviates the fuss of having to go through hangers of same style shirt.  Customer service has always been phenomenal.  I sometimes feel bad that I end up having them go back there like 4 times but they don't seem to mind.  =)  The last time I was there I asked the guy to try on the shirt for me and he did it without hesitation.  Very helpful!

Note - Sizes of certain style shirts - the ones I thought we really nice, sell out fast.  I wonder if there's any way for me to see what's coming...

Cool and very clean boutique. Not a lot to select, but is expected as with most boutique stores. Reminds me of a few of the different boutique stores I have seen in my cross country escapades for kicks and tees. Wish they would expand on the bearbrick items and possibly get more kicks in.

    Cool people working the counter.

I'll be back to check up and possibly buy a tee or two when they get, if they get more stuff in.

You can see this spot from the streets...well that is if you are into street wear. After you get some fresh kicks at Sole on Ice you should definitely come here to get the rest of your wardrobe. It did not stock up the hyped up brands but the ones with staying power like crooks & castle and rocksmith. The staff was really nice and friendly. Another spot I will check out when I am in San Jose. One thing that prevented them from getting 5 stars is the lack of bay area/local brands because I am used to seeing that kind of stuff in socal.
