I went here late on a Saturday. The first thing I noticed was that there was a group of Korean soccer players here after a game (I assume) which is a pretty good endorsement. The decor was in the traditional Korean restaurant style; lots of wood paneling, and a big calligraphy for "Arirang" on the wall.
I ordered the dolsot bibimbap and my girlfriend ordered the galbi tang. I thought the bibimbap was okay but nothing special. It came in the hot stone bowl like it should. The provided hot sauce wasn't that hot though; it was more sweet than spicy (but still good).
However, the galbi tang was excellent. Just like how my mom makes it, with big pieces of galbi in it and a proper broth that avoided the common mistake of being too salty. Definitely a top pick on the menu.
If I go again, I'm trying out the bulgogi and the galbi. This would be a great place for lunch (lunchbox specials for $8-9), and I'm definitely considering going for this during the week. -

ARIRANG IS NOW CLOSED FOR BUSINESS.
I think due to some unwise business choices of the owners.
Convenience, close, nice decor, cozy environment, and reasonable in price with a student discount.
Their food was great at opening but in the following weeks quickly declined in terms of quality and amount.
Kind of sad, but I guess it just didn't work out for them. -

I was a little sad when I found out the Schnitzel House closed. However, my sadness quickly eroded when I tried Arirang. The bulgogi and bibimbap have become good staples here. Dishes are meant to be shared and their house sauce works well with their dishes. I didn't think their dumplings were that great but I appreciate that they are made in house.
What makes the place even more fun is that I sometimes still expect schnitzel when I walk in since the new owners did little to redecorate the place! What could be more fun than Korean food in a German house? -

They have both japanese and korean food. I'm new to korean food, but I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Lunch boxes include sushi, yummy tempura and miso soup in addition to main course. I've enjoyed the dumpling soup and bulgogi.
