Since I live in the middle of nowhere...(think the back gate of the Olympic National Park...where only real hikers/climbers fear to tread...) This market is only a little over an hour from my home...and let me tell you, it has everything I require to sustain myself responsibly for a month at a time...They have an amazing assortment of kimchi, in all sorts of sizes...a wide variety of all kinds of "Asian" foods. They have started selling fresh, marinated meats, with a day's notice. I continue to be impressed with the friendliness, and knowledge of the people there...I spend roughly on third of my monthly food bill here! I do not mind the drive, I don't mind the parking, and I certainly don't mind paying a few pennies more, if it spares me a trip to Seattle, where I would expect to find a comparable market...

I like this store...very clean and huge selections, just wish they carry more chips from the Philippines... But I am still happy they mostly have all the ingredients I need for any Filipino dish I want to cook. I will come back when I am in the area.

I was impressed when I visited this place. They offer a variety of kimchee, kitchenware, frozen goods and ready to eat food such as jap chae. The only disappointment was that they didn't carry the rice cakes needed to make ddukbokki.
Other than that, it's nice to know that I don't have to go all the way to Tacoma for Korean ingredients.Listed in: O-Town Favs

The perfect 'local' Oriental market, a stop here replaces 90% of ingredient-runs to Tacoma, or heaven forbid,Seattle. Although the owners are Korean, they feature the staples of each major Asian cuisine: high-quality sushi fish, fresh lemongrass and thick coconut cream for Thai curry, and of course a wonderful selection of kim chi. Housewares like rice cookers and dish sets are universally high-quality.
Fans of Korean food shouldn't miss the fresh chap che and kim baep available every day at the register -- but come early in the day, because it often runs out by late afternoon.

Generally speaking, I hesitate to shop in places I can't pronounce the name of. It makes me feel stupid. But if I need good kim chee, or a variety of other asian grocery items, I go to Arirang.
More foreign ingredients that I know what to do with, helpful staff, and really yummy store-made chop che (a korean noodle dish). -

Lacey, WA
If you're looking for an asian market in Lacey, this would be the place to go. Anyone traveling in the area will definitely notice the abundance of korean/asian markets, however, I highly recommend this one.
The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something they will help out.
If you're looking for something that your asian friend said you need to absolutely have, you most likely will find it here. Or will find a comparable item.
I love this place, it's very convenient and I don't have to go to Seattle to get decent Japanese food items. -

Tacoma, WA
The prices are not as low as Paldo World in Tacoma, but they have my favorite marinated peppers in the refrigerated section and this is the primary reason why I go here! I always end up with a cart full of stuff! And the women who work there are super nice.

The best asian market in the Olympia/Lacey area. Clean, fully stocked and awesome fresh kim-chee!
