$38 converse! (way cheaper than I've seen anywhere, since I was like 15 years old)
Thanks! -

They have all that work/cholo shit here for great prices.
They're helpful and will order whatever size and style you might want.
If I only knew of this place when I auditioned for the part of "Frogman" in the movie Colors, I might have landed the role.
Live and learn.
And I've learned to get my work apparel here only. -

Newer update sans caffeine: they really don't have enough stylish girls Dickies. They lose a star. It's good for a certain soon to be ex 's motorbike workin' clothes to make him look cute though.
Four big orange juicy stars for the Dickies Girl line they carry. Cute hats and other items, too, for girls and guys. Wish they had more of the Dickies Girl clothes, like the short dresses, shorts, and hot coveralls. Now have a new fav website... http://www.dickiesgirl.... Ok, girls, please go shop at Arik's and maybe they'll expand the selection :) -

I've had fairly good experiences at Ariks. They do sell some irregular stuff as first condition, so you have to inspect carefully. However, my most recent experience has ended our relationship.
When a store says that they are open until 6pm, and you say "I will be right over," you shouldn't expect them to slam the gate in your face at 5:40 sharp saying "We closed. You come tomorrow."
I will not be coming back tomorrow. Or the next day. Good luck with your future if this is how you treat your customers. -

They have an amazing selection of pants, and if you don't have it they'll order it.
They're very accommodating, and have stayed open late TWICE already when I called to tell them I was running late.
For women: they're child size pants can actually fit a size-8: they're comfortable, professional, and durable! -

I bought a pair of grey Chuck Taylor Converse shoes awhile back for $39.99 from here whereas I bought a black pair of Chuck Taylor's at DSW Shoe Warehouse at downtown (yes downtown where all the tourists are and they overcharge in general in that area) for only $19.99. You tell me where I got the deal from...

I went here looking for some pants that could withstand some serious shit (gardening, camping, hopefully riding camels in Mongolia) and found a good selection of brands, although not many in my size (which makes sense, considering they are mainly looking to sell work pants to men in various blue collar industries and I'm a non-construction-worker-sized-female). I left with a pair of $30 carpenter Dickies which brings me this giddy satisfaction when I consider how many pants costing two or three times that amount that have fallen apart after the fourth or fifth wash. Hooray for tough-as-nails badass pants! Maybe I'll eschew all my girlie clothing and adopt a no-nonsense look from now on: boots, utility pants, and one of those stiff, canvas jackets.

One of the biggest selections of Ben Davis in the city. Lots of sizes and lots of colors. Who doesn't need more clothes with monkeys on them?

Lady working there called me a bitch as I was walking away for not buying any of the four pants I tried on. Straight up. She was also stalking me around the store to within 3 feet at all times. This was honestly the WORST PLACE EVER and possibly the entrance to hades.

I went there seeking Made in the USA Converse only to find that some bastard had come in two weeks earlier and bought out the entire stock, save for some weenie and giant sizes. They do however have a great selection of Dickies and other workwear which I enjoy. Oh, the staff is nice too.

They might have what the working man needs when it comes to clothing. But the completely lack in customer service. I call to ask about an item and when I asked a second question they replied "no" and hung up on me! #$%@!!!

As good a selection of men's Dickies and Carhartt pants and jeans as I've found in the Bay Area. Lots of sizes and colors. Jackets and hoodies too.

Is this related to the Arik's on Mission & Valencia? Either way, it's a GREAT place to find super cheap t-shirts, bandannas, Giant's shirts, thermal underwear, sweats, and work pants. Quintessential funky small SF business.
