I've been going to Arigato's for 20-something years, so we were happy when they reopened in the new location. It's always enjoyable! The chefs I've had have been very personable and entertaining. Portions are pretty spot-on, but the $18-28 per entree price tag relegates Arigato's to "special occasion" territory. The food is always delicious. The new location is very pretty, with several fish tanks and a small pond with a bridge. If you have less than 8 people in your party, expect to be seated with another party.

I've been sitting on this Groupon for over a year and finally the new Carrollwood location is open! So off I go for a late dinner. I've often taken the kids to the area Japenese steakhouses so we were typically there by 6. Tonight it was all adults plus one young adult and it was the chef's last table. The chef, who called himself Bob, was great! He was witty with only a touch of that canned teppanyaki chef humor I've become accustomed to (and bored with). He actually talked with us and was funny without the script. The service from start to finish was great. They even have cold saki! (I don't care for the hot kind.) The food was very good. From now on I'll go by myself later in the evening and just take the kids to Chili's :) Oh and the design of the new restaurant is very nice - love it!

Charming chefs, big portions, and quality food. I love these cheesy cook-in-front-of-you Japanese steak houses and this is easily the best I've ever been to. One of my favorite restaurants in Tampa, and one of the few I actually miss.
And yeah, it's in a strip mall, but most places in Tampa are. -

This restaurant may be expensive, but the show is simply fantastic. It reminds me of Benihana's in San Francisco, California. The chefs even wear big hats like in Benihana's. However, in my opinion, the food is better at Arigato's Japanese Steak House. I have had most of the food they have to offer and I found myself enjoying all of them. The cook I had was very polite to my family and I as well. You will definitely want to visit here, even if it is just a one time thing.

I've been here a few times. A fun place with a good cooking show and good food. Prices are about average for a steak house. Service is pretty decent too.

Way better than any other Japanese steakhouse I've tried. My best friend's family vacations in Clearwater and I was lucky enough to be brought along for this culinary experience. It has the usual fun atmosphere and entertainment from a hibachi grill restaurant. What really stands out is the food! I loved the steak and shrimp and the best are the yummy yummy and goodie goodie sauces. One of my fav all time meals.
