Great service, great coffee and great food. What more could you want?

The good:
-upscale oprn atmosphere, tastefully decorted with comfy leather seating area and fireplace.
-easy parking out back
wifi and two free workstations.
-service. Family run and feel doesnt go with starbucks look but thats not a bad thing. The hard working mom and daughter combo are always there...the daughter is super friendly.
The ok:
-coffee is pretty good, just not outstanding and no better than starbucks.
- food is ok, other than outsourced pastries its just a soup and paninis. They were good for awhile but quickly get bored of selection if you become a regular.
The bad:
-Ice cream really go with coffee? i always found that odd but maybe its just me. i guess it doesnt hurt any.
- The blinding glare near any window during the day, especially at pc stations.
- If you are going to have a fireplace have it working especially in january
-the unabashed obvious starbucks theme rip off. I know it was previous owners (who i had gotten to know) but it gives it a cheaper look. Like buying Sams cola or apple j's. Because its an obvious copy cat one assumes by default that its not as good.
Overall...its a great place to spend some quiet time for coffee with the possibility of food in a comfy place..unfortunately the new place next door i imagine is hurting their business, i hope they can stay open!Listed in: Caffeine!!!!!!!!

Though the hot chocolate was good and free wi-fi is great, I wasn't over the moon with the place. There wasn't anything special about it that made me think, "Yes, I've got to come back here." I didn't get any food while I was here but the people who did seemed to enjoy it. The place is cozy enough but I think I'll stay home next time or find another place to enjoy my book and chocolate.
I will say though that the staff was friendly and helpful. They made it a point to deliver food orders to the tables and genuinely asked if they could do anything else for their patrons. I liked that. -

I like this place as they have something for everyone. If you are hungry, eat. If you want ice cream-great! If you want a good latte, you're in luck. If you are like me and you want a latte, but have a little girl who would like ice cream, you only have to go to one place :)
The frozen lattes are way too sweet. I am going to stick to hot. I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten there.
It is really nice that they have desk top computers set up and free internet. I don't see that much anymore. There is also free wi fi.
Oh, also the staff is super nice and friendly. I would come back just for how sweet they are. I will definately be back. -

I go here every morning that I want a coffee... (I don't drink much coffee, but since they've re-opened, I've been a frequent customer).
Very good coffee, lots of flavor syrups. Great customer service. Very Friendly.
I also bring my daughter in once in a while and she gets the Irish Cream Soda. Those are yummy. Sometimes I end up drinking half her soda. They're awesome, and my daughter loves watching them make her drink for her.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Dawn E.
Missing a little of the warmth and coziness I'd like a local coffee shop to have. Also, although as a previous reviewer said the tea is loose and good, the selection is fairly limited. They are sort of an everything kind of place... they have ice cream and sandwiches. It's more of a lunch cafe that offers coffee and tea than a real coffee house. Worth visiting, I'd say, if you live near by, but I wouldn't drive across several towns for it.
Also, on a fairly unrelated note, the letters on the outside of the building look much too much like Starbucks' lettering.Listed in: Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey..., Coffee, Tea, or Me...

Always clean, fresh coffe, free wireless and they also have 2 desktop with huge screens. There is a girl that is always there and very friendly. The only problem are the hours. They close @ 6pm. Very early for those that work until 5pm....I guess the majority of people. But if you can make it in time it will be worth it.

Review from Kerri O.
There's something to be said for small businesses that are run by their owners. They tend to look after you.
Good iced coffee, and bakery items. There's soup and sandwiches, as well.
The decor is definitely going for sophisticated, with leather chairs, and a gas fireplace. They even provide computers for you to play on, while you drink your coffee. There's also outdoor seating.
All in all, a good place to settle back and read a paper. -

They get my vote for the best coffee in the 495 area, nutty, roasted flavor, not too strong or watered-down.
Good chill atmosphere. Sophisticated without being pretentious. What you won't find are pierced sarcastic barristers that grunt at you, and screaming, crying toddlers and their screaming, crying parents. What I always find is a comfortable chair, a fireplace in winter, and even a few desktop computers, with internet access, for those of us without or who have forgotten our laptops. This is a fine place for a casual business meeting with a small group, or quiet time alone with a newspaper.
In addition to the usual desserts found at most private coffee places, they also have real food. Try the tuna melt.
Well worth the side trip to Hudson or a stop when I am passing through. -

This place is under a new (3rd?) owner. It still has potential but just doesn't quite make it. Comfy tables and chairs, staff are reasonable. Food isn't anything writing home about but is an alternative to pizza, ribs and subs. Coffee taste funny to me (tried it 7-8 times in both hot and iced).
If it had better, homemade food and better coffee, I think they'd do better. Also, something need to attract more people to come and hag as the free wi-fi is nice and A/C feels good these days!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Tiff D.
I love Ariba for several reasons
1. Great coffee and teas (one thing every coffee house should have)
2. Great customer service. (Hard to find in Mass)
Everytime I enter I am greeted with a smile and a plesant hello or good morning.
3. Free Wi-Fi
4. Yummy paninis
5. Low prices
6. Outdoor Seating
7. Ice cream
....the list goes on
It is really a great place. Its right on the bike path so you can go for a walk/run/bike/skate...and make a pit stop to get some icecream or an iced coffee...
I LOVE THIS PLACE.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Review from Ryan D.
Boston, MA
Though the food is relatively expensive, the coffee and tea are priced right and very good. The tea is loose - not the prepackaged Lipton or Twinings stuff, and the variety is diverse. From Moroccan Mint to African Red Bush and Rooibos, traditional Green, etc. there's plenty to choose from. I can't comment on the coffee though...
Another plus is the free internet and spacious floor with tables, chairs, couches, cushioned chairs, and tables outside to enjoy the cafe.Listed in: Hudson, MA

Ariba Coffee is a bright, welcoming coffee/cafe. It offers a selection of light meals--bagels, salads, sandwiches--to go, and pastries. I haven't had any food there--so I can't comment, but all of their offerings looked fresh and appealing.
The coffee is really good, though--and served piping hot in nice cafe cups. The space is bright--plenty of natural light from walls of windows and a nice fireplace and comfy chairs for the interminable New England winters. They offer free internet, and don't seem to mind people lingering, reading, writing or talking to other patrons. Also--the owners/barristas are exceptionally nice. A great little find. -

I like that this is a local place that is NOT a Starbucks. The sandwiches are pretty tasty. The atmosphere is also nice, people working industriously on their laptops and reading. I've had chai there a couple of times and not been very impressed. They don't seem to have mastered the perfect blend of milk and chai mix. My boyfriend had the coffee and said it was ok, but nothing extraordinary. I enjoyed the Raspberry Irish Cream Soda I had here a couple of time as well.

Similar to the more famous coffee shops found nationally, but with several nice differences: the ownership is local, friendly and work on premises. Coffee is actually GOOD! You can order a real, made to order, lunch of soup and sandwich and coffee for under $10. It's not overly crowded (but should be), has a nice atmosphere fireplace with leather chairs and a sidewalk seating for nicer weather. Great place overall!

My tuna melt although adequate is a lot like my sandwich yesterday . It is a Tuna Melt nothing more nothing less flavor is kinda bland . if you are not going to put a pickle beside the sandwich , maybe put some inside. add a little mustard to the mayo for a hint of flavor, something. The sandwiches are also suppose to be Panini sandwiches. It is called a panini press because you flatten the sandwiches. Again as yesterday a little olive oil or butter on the panini press would make a big difference. Don't call it a panini unless you are gonna press the sandwich and butter/oil the press. It is kind of what makes it a tuna melt panini .

Ariba Coffee re-opened in April 2009 under new ownership. I met some relatives there for coffee and pastries on April 24.
Very pleasant atmosphere and decor for coffee, tea, snacks and light fare such as quiche, pastries, soup, and panini wraps. They also serve ice cream and smoothies made with real fruit (unfortunately their blender is rather noisy if you are sitting inside; outdoor seating is available). Additionally, they have Wi-Fi for your laptop and two PCs offering free internet access. Plenty of parking is available in the rear off High Street, though you have to walk a bit through a long, deserted winding corridor before you are inside. I'd skip the rear door and just walk around to the front using the High Street sidewalk. Check 'em out!
