Review from Danielle W.
Holmdel Township, NJ
Ariana Gallery is one of my most favorite largest and finest contemporary galleries in Michigan. Artists from all over the world exhibit their uniquely affordable home furnishings, furniture, art glass, expressive woods, ceramics, metal, contemporary paintings, sculpture and clothing. Jewelry selections range from whimsical to sophisticate. Special exhibits occur throughout the year to feature each craft category. During their shows they offer gourmet free food and drink!
If the funky and the outrageous interest you, a stop at this gallery is sure to suit. -

Royal Oak, MI
I've seen a lot of galleries come and go in Royal Oak, but Ariana still calls downtown Royal Oak home after more than 20 years.
I first met Anne (the gallery director) when I wrote for a local newspaper. I was always impressed by her ability to curate her gallery to present an eclectic selection that includes everything from affordable and unique gifts, to beautiful museum-quality pieces that most of us can only dream about owning.
Watch for the gallery's themed shows and opening parties, like a recent Mug Shots show of hand-crafted coffee mugs with a free opening reception that featured someone from a local coffee roasting company pouring complimentary lattes and espressos for gallery visitors. You can sign up for the gallery mailing list and get postcard reminders of gallery shows and opening receptions.
Anne doesn't shy away from more controversial art, either. Ariana Gallery has a long-time working relationship with Dr. Kevorkian, and last time I looked, you could still check out his macabre art on the gallery Web site http://www.arianagalle... and purchase some of his books at the gallery.Listed in: Culture club

This is one gallery I can walk in, be amazed, and actually considering buying one of the pieces. A few, yes only a few, are actually affordable (to me). Here you will find contemporary glass, painting, sculptures and more. While you can get a sneak peak by checking out the website, nothing beats walking in the store and seeing all the amazing colors and shapes.
