ARIA Studios

My then fiancé and I decided to pull together a quick ceremony, with the idea unfolding on May 9, 2019. We decided on May 24, 2019, two weeks away, for our ceremony. With the help of our amazing wedding coordinator, Karisa, we booked ARIA Studios on May 16, 2019. We were overjoyed that we got a professional photographer on such short notice and it was especially important to get these memories captured.

Our wedding day came and I arrived at our venue. As soon as I stepped out of the car, Jess from ARIA Studios was there, snapping moments that I will remember for a lifetime. She was so kind and patient with my (now) husband and I (we are really not models). We loosened up with her gentle guidance and she even helped me convince my husband to get in the water for some photos.

My mother's health declined quickly and so I asked for the photos of her from that day expedited, knowing full well that it might be an additional fee. I received the photos quickly and Mom was able to see them and enjoy them. Now our family will remember this day, my happiest day of my life, which I was able to share with my beautiful Mom.

We have received all of our photos and Hubby and I could not be more happy with them. It's taking a lot of restraint not to be totally weird about it and print lifesize photos and put them all over the house.

In any case, Hubby and I are doing a part 2 and have already booked ARIA Studios for that day (and asked for Jess specifically!). We can't wait because we know what a great job they do.

I wanted to love Aria Studios so bad, it honestly kills me to write this review. We got married June 2021 and all these months later I'm still so disappointed in the photos and service I received.

Starting from the beginning, we stumbled on Aria Studios on Instagram and once meeting them in person at the Wedding Expo, we knew they were the one. Aria Studios is definitely on the pricier side but we loved them so much and photographs were really important to us that we decided that they were worth it.

Hindsight is 20/20 and if I could go back in time, I wouldn't hire Aria Studios again. Leading up to our wedding day we had great interactions with their manager Sharon. She was super pleasant and easy to work with. I wish that some sort of consultation was included with the actual photographer prior to our wedding day... if that had happened maybe I would feel differently about the pictures we received in the end.

Following our wedding, communication was not the greatest. The date we were supposed to receive our pictures came and went and no communication on behalf of Aria Studios. Eventually I reached out and was told to expect them shortly. I'm not upset that the pictures were late, I would rather them take their time and not rush so that I have good quality pictures but I do wish that the communication on their end was better. I wish that they had reached out saying the needed some time and were upfront about it.

Sadly, when getting our pictures we were again disappointed. We had a very small COVID wedding so the majority of our pictures were staged pictures which we had no problem with. However, we did have issues with the unflattering angles they captured. Some with people angled too much or too little. In some pictures people were spaced too far and oddly. Some of the pictures we received had people's hair blowing in their faces, dresses flying up. Our family pictures were the most important to us. These are likely the last professional pictures we will take with our grandparents and sadly they are not ones I would want framed. I hate saying this but our family photos look very amateur and do not reflect the amount of money we paid.

We were also disappointed in the lack of variety of photos we received. If I could do the day over, I would ask to have more variety in locations. We got married at Cafe Julia. There are so many amazing backdrops within minutes of our venue. Yet, we took pictures only by the pool, outside the front doors of Cafe Julia and the old post office building. I see other pictures on Instagram of people taking pictures in the area and I have serious envy.

Lastly, we were disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. There were so many pictures that look off centered (not intentionally done) or were askew. I cropped one of the pictures to be centered and printed it as thank you cards and one of the feedback I got from a friend was "I wish I could see your faces. It is blurry." Sadly, that was not a printing issue, that was the quality of the picture we received. In one of the staged photos that they sent us, there was also napkin on the ground front and centered. We did ask them to fix that and they kindly did... although I wish that someone had noticed that and I didn't have to ask.

Overall, just very disappointing. They say that wedding venders cost a lot because it's one day and you can't get the day back to re-do photos. Sadly that is true and sadly I paid a lot and was still VERY disappointed.

ARIA Studios did photography & videography for our wedding in Maui on 04/07/2018. We are so thankful that they were able to fly to Maui to capture our wedding. Thank you so much ARIA Studios!!

We were referred to Aria by many, including my husband's cousin who works with Aria Studios. Their work is absolutely awesome and their team is awesome. Kolby, Kash, Holly & Jessica all flew to Maui the day of our wedding. The were very professional and very easy to work it.

Jessica was the main contact and she responded to emails efficiently. About 4 days after our wedding, Holly was able to email us a couple of preview photos while they worked on editing the rest.

We chose the Fusion package (Cinema 8 Hour Package, Same Day Edit and Photo 8 Hour Package). I am so amazed by the quality of their work and am amazed by how fast they can edit the videos to show in the Same Day Edit. And I absolutely love our Same Day Edit (https://vimeo.com/263970983), I watch it at least three times a week. It let's me relive this special day :)

I would highly recommend using Aria Studios!!

I met Kolby and her team about 10 years ago when I used to work at The Wedding Café, I always admired their work and loved working with them at events. Ever since then the photography and videography industry has skyrocketed and there are so many other great vendors out there but Aria Studios is still my #1 choice! I always envisioned them doing our Same Day Edit and taking our wedding photos. When we got engaged Aria Studios was the first vendor we booked. Their team was super responsive with all of our hundreds of questions and changes, hopefully we didn't drive them too nuts!

On our wedding day we had Kolby, Holly, Jess and Brady, they were so awesome! The morning started off overcast and rainy, then the power went out while we were getting our hair and makeup done but thankfully we had a backup generator coming! Even though we were running late, they were super professional and didn't make us feel rushed at all. They all made sure we felt comfortable while we were taking the awkward posed shots and were like ninjas behind the scenes taking candid shots. Like everyone says, the entire day went by in a flash and by the time we knew it the day was over. We LOVED our Same Day Edit, they did an amazing job in capturing our wedding day!

They said our photos would take about 2 months and they were not kidding cause we got them exactly on the 2 month mark. Everything came out exactly what we hoped for and more! Now we can relive the moment over and over again....THANK YOU ARIA STUDIOS FOR DOCUMENTING THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES (so far..haha)!!!!

I've also had the opportunity to work with Aria Studios on the professional side, as I also work with a wedding coordinator. I always love working with them and get excited when I see them on the timeline. They're always super nice, professional and just awesome to work with! Even though we have a timeline set things always don't go according to plan and Aria Studios is super awesome with going with the flow!

We absolutely loved working with Aria Studios and would HIGHLY recommend them to any of our friends or family. We're so glad we invested and made sure we had photo and video, now we can always look back on this day and share it with our family and friends!

I can't stop raving about Aria Studios! Mia and Laurie made us and our family so comfortable the entire day. They have such a great artistic eye and found the perfect backdrops and lighting to capture our vision. They are so responsive and professional from the initial consultation to the wedding day. We received our preview photos TWO days after the wedding and are in love with how Mia captured each emotion perfectly. She is a dream to work with and brought so much joy to our wedding day. We highly recommend Aria Studios!

Looking for your wedding photographer/ cinematographer? Congrats, you found them!! ARIA studios. Seriously, they are INCREDIBLE! The whole team is super fun and easy to work with, incredibly professional, and their work is perfection.

We knew from the beginning we wanted a cinematographer for our wedding. As soon as we saw ARIA's portfolio, we were in love. This was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! The day goes by so quickly and it almost feels like you're in a dream; the video captures the vibe and the emotions and the fun and all the stuff that was a blur. Kash and Jonas were video ninjas. They got all of these amazing shots and you didn't even realize they were there. The highlight video they put together is so perfect and I'm so in love. The song they chose was released only a month after our wedding and I can't stop listening to it! Amazing job guys!!!!

When we first started talking with ARIA studios, I was dead-set on having only video, because I'm cheap and I planned to grab still shots from the video. I'm so glad my mom convinced me otherwise. While the video perfectly captures the dynamic emotions of the night, the photos let you obsess over magical split-second moments of happiness. Jessica and Holly are such a great team and their eye for composition is unparalleled. These are pictures we're going to treasure forever and they were well worth every penny.

I can't thank the ARIA studios team enough! Our wedding photos and video are even more perfect and wonderful and beautiful than I could have imagined! You guys are the best!

Three and half months in after our wedding, there's no communication for our videography. There's not even a short edit version. They're not answering calls nor responding to online inquiries.

We weren't being pushy to see results the first three months, since we figured things will take time. However, that is not the reason for them to put paying customers on their back burner.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

ARIA Studios did our wedding photography, and they were just the best! From the moment we inquired through to the day itself, communication with them was fast and easy, which is a huge relief when you're trying to plan a wedding from afar! Even though we didn't get a chance to meet Jess and Amber before the big day, they were super friendly and instantly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. The photos they delivered are absolutely gorgeous!! We love looking through them and reliving the best day ever, and can't wait to frame the prints. They beautifully captured moments that we will treasure forever, and we highly recommend them to anyone! Knowing they also do family portraits (and now have a second location in Seattle!), we definitely will be in contact with them in the future to capture all of our important life moments!

Before we even got engaged I wanted to book Aria Studios. (I didn't even care I just knew I had to have them for video and photo on our wedding day!) Kolby, Kash, Jonas, Holly and Jess are your DREAM TEAM! I have enjoyed their work for some time now and I loved how their team was like a family. They are all so close and work so amazingly well together. I could not just have one member of their team... I wanted the whole team. We finally got engaged and best believe Aria was on speed dial. We were so excited to finally book them and make them apart of our Wedding Day. They made everything SO SO EASY. We used them for engagement pictures, Wedding Photos, videography (Love Story, SDE,) oh... and they even do Photo Booths... Yes we booked that as well- WE WANTED THEM ALL!
When a team like this invites you to be a part of their family you know they are something special. They truly care about the happiness in each of their couples and always gives 110%. You can see it in every video and every photo. The images are always so breathtaking and you feel like you were at every wedding they were at and all you can do is smile. They made my husband and I so excited and comfortable about our wedding and we wish we could do it all over again... (Like every weekend!!) That is how much we LOVE ARIA STUDIOS. We can't wait to use them for our growing family someday because they will capture everything so perfectly. Jaymie Umehira

Jason and Jess were so delightfully helpful in the months leading up to our wedding making sure to check in on us and learn exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day. We had the all star team (although we know everyone at Aria is an all star) of Holly and Jess for photography and Kash and Jonas on videography. All four of them not only got breathtaking photos/video ranging from intimate moments to the big shots, but they were all so smiley, sweet, and cool to work with. We would love to work with them again any chance we can get we'll sure be contacting them for future shoots.
