Super Cute! The staff were very nice & helpful!

The Cherry pie is good it is from Apple Hill. The apple cider was delicious also from Apple Hill.

You have to just stop in get a slice of pie and take in the ambiance. It is a very cute place! Rich in history!

Quaint is the word all around for this tiny, rustic spot in Coloma. You'll agree when you see the giant deli-style pickle jar and homemade pies on display in an unfinished wood setting  (Okay, honestly, it was a shack). It will remind you of an mini old-time General Store.

I just stopped by the Argonaut one time with our tour group to pick up a slice of "Blackberry, I believe"  pie and a Sprite. It had one of those very thin crusts that was more like flaky pastry than my idea of a traditional pie crust, but that's okay. The filling was warm and sweet/tart, and in retrospect I should have had it a la mode. I wouldn't go out of my way for it again but it was A-Ok.

I was charmed by Coloma, and will probably make it back for a family vacation someday. When I do, a sandwich and some ice cream at the Argonaut will be on the itinerary.

If you're ever in the city where the gold rush began, do check out this cafe. You feel like you've must have boarded a time machine back to the mid 1800's when you're here. This tiny cafe was built before indoor plumbing made it's grand debut, and has that old fashioned charm. It's easy to miss because of it's size, and the fact that there isn't a huge sign outside, but it's located next to the post office. Just an adorable cafe that offers sandwiches, ice cream, lemonade, and coffee. You'll feel relaxed and at home. This establishment is pet friendly and open daily 10-5 except on Tuesdays.
