Argon is located on Sixth Street, in the East Village. It's surrounded by restaurants that try to lure you in with sitar music and people on the sidewalk, and you'd miss it if you weren't watching out for it.
The decor is very tasteful, dark wood beams are a prominent feature of the space, decorated with authentic Indian embroidered tapestries. You are immediately greeted by the host who welcomes you and seats you at a comfortable table. The lighting is low and romantic.
My partner and I ejnoyed two vegetarian meals here. The curries were tasty, and not overly spicy. The vegetables were fresh, the sauces were tasty and the breads were wonderful, in particular the rice roti was very unusual and good.
