Argenziano's has been recommended to us so many times, that we took the long, long trip out there today to see what all the fuss is about.  From my house to the restaurant (each was) is 23 miles.  23 miles!  It is located on Houghton road, 7 miles (I clocked it) past I-10.  Now that is a long way to drive for good Italian food, but it was worth the drive, this time anyway.  I had the sausage and peppers over penne, which was delicious.  The sauce had a good flavor (could have been a bit spicier), and the italian sausage was delicious.  The only knock is that the bell peppers were in huge chunks, and I would have preferred them more bite sized.  My husband's spaghetti tasted fine, but the sauce was a bit watery.  As noted in other reviews, the house Italian dressing is great. Lots and lots of garlic.  Prices were reasonable, and the service was great, but unfortunately, it's too far outside of my circle to become a regular destination.

Great Italian comfort food, nothing pretentious. I love the calzone and my husband loves the pasta with sausage. I was actually impressed when I tried his and really liked it as I'm not a big fan of sausages in general. It was too spicy for me to order for myself but that one bite was delish!

The neighborhoods south and west of Corona de Tucson are growing and word is getting out about this place because it is easier than driving into town. Maybe someday they'll have the clout to relocate to a nicer, bigger building. As stated, it is clean and the staff are nice enough.

Only complaint is that I too have encountered the random closing. Tried to take my out of town family there one night only to find a hand written note saying closed for the week. :(  I believe they are also closed on Mondays, but double check for yourself.

Rays has the best pizza around, you can even get take out too, but their true hit is the seafood soup, it's to die for. Totally worth the 7 mile drive south of I-10 down Houghton.

Argenziano's is one of the best Italian eateries I've ever experienced.

It is a way out of city limit, but it's about a 2 second car ride from my house. We usually get the pizza, which is extremely tasty, as all the toppings are top-notch. The cheese is great, the peperoni's are slightly spicy, the mushrooms are thick, the red-sauce is delicious.

The sandwiches aren't bad either, and the fries are yummy. The pasta dishes are also yummy. In short, I've never had anything there that I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

The acoustics are troublesome at times. The building is an old Circle-K, so it can get very loud. The staff is always friendly and capable.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic place to eat, and I'm very happy it's my "neighborhood" restaurant.

Tried going here for lunch on a tuesday, but it was closed randomly. Can't speak to the quality of the food, but random weekday closings...fail
Be sure to call ahead to make sure they are open, to prevent a long needless drive.

    The worst italian food ever.

Not only is the service terrible, slow, and rude but the red sauce on every dish seems like it's been thinned out with water to make it go farther.

Their pizza crust was bland and tasteless.

It's fitting, I guess, that they are inside of an old Circle-K store building because their food tastes about the same as what you find at a Circle-K.

Love the calzones wife loves the chicken parm. The seafood soup is 'uge and very tasty. Friends love the pizza but I have never gotten it. The best part though is the dessert. The "almond cake" dessert is amazing.

Service has always been great. The owners have always been hospitable and we come with 3 girls and the baby makes a little mess.
Out of the way and very busy but worth it if you live in the area.

The food at Argenziano's is great! It's a small, family-owned restaurant kind of far from Tucson proper, but great for those of us who live in the Corona de Tucson / Vail area of town. Fast pick-up service for the days that you want to take food home and enjoy it.

The portions are a good size, and I've had a lot of the items on their older menu, but haven't tried many of the newer things because I keep going back to the stuff I love. =) Their pizza is tasty (except their mushrooms are canned), their sausage and pepper penne is delicious and huge, their meatballs are savory, and I love their Italian wedding soup!

The service can be a little hit or miss, and the dining area is a little tight, but with the population in the area growing so fast, it's easy to see why it's so crowded in the evenings. But the food (and for us, not having to drive into town) is worth it.

My husband and I along with our very young kids eat there all the time.  It is the best Italian food you can go out and get, and that is saying a lot since my grandma is from Italy and we all make our sauce from scratch!  Their food is amazing I recommend the Italian wedding soup, and the calzones, or the pasta with sausage and peppers!  The place is family owned and operated, and everyone is friendly an welcoming, they are also family friendly.  I highly recommend this place to anyone!  Enjoy!

My wife loves the seafood soup - it's quite a presentation and something to try if you love seafood. I like several of the pasta dishes and sandwiches.

It's very casual, not fancy at all. Just good food, large portions, and reasonable prices. I was a bit down on the service about a year ago, but things have improved lately and I don't have any problems recommending this if you want some Italian food in the area.

Good thin pizza. It's a bit of a hike from Tucson, but would be a nice place to go to get out of the city. The people eating there seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a good time. Relaxed atmosphere.
