Review from Heather H.
Encinitas, CA
I have always been the type of person to never go to the same hairdresser or salon twice. Not sure why really, maybe because it was because I had nothing to say to the stylists a second time around.
Until I went to Arezzo Salon & Spa! As I walked in I am always greeted with a smile and acknowledged by my first name as well as whom I will be seeing. As I wait, there is always fresh coffee or if it is in the evening a fresh glass of wine. Never do I wait more than just a few minutes. The girl that I go to, Molly Gilman, is incredible at what she does for a living. She is a master of color and treats it like an art form (which I guess that it is when you think about how they have to mix the colors to get the price fit). My hair is colored red and I love that we can be overly creative with the color. Molly is always up on all the trends when it comes to colors, styles and the cut as well. She has great recommendations for my hair but most importantly she listens to what I want and then does her magic. This is why she has been my hair stylist now for over two years. Molly and her salon is fun and hip as well as stylish and unique. And you don't have to talk if you don't want to; you can simply just read a book and enjoy the peace of not having screaming kids running around. I am sure if you go there you will feel the same way as I do. -

I am new to the area and this was the first Salon I tried.
I had high hopes after reading the reviews.
My hair looked fine- nothing special but what I had requested.
The reason I am giving only 3 stars is the PRICE!!!
I used to get my hair done in Newport Beach and Santa Monica and was used to paying top dollar. But this salon was literally DOUBLE their prices. When the stylist told me the price I was literally shocked- I thought she joking.
Make sure you ask for a price quote before you begin your color (if you're concerned about price).
Needless to say I never returned. -

Charrie Bott has cut my hair several times. Unbelievable. Quick, and out of the park every time. Go to Rockefeller Center, Beverly Hills, Paris, I don't care where or how much you pay, you'll not find better.

I have only gone to Arezzo Salon & Spa to get my nails done by Rose. FABULOUS, FABulous, fabulous! Rose is so friendly and easy to talk to - she is truly interested in her clients and what they have to say. She has a fantastic selection of colors - all in style and new for this season. I love that she has a secluded room away from the salon so you really feel pampered and relaxed when you're with her. Best of all, her prices are very competitive and exceptionally reasonable. I don't see any reason to go anywhere else! Thanks, Rosie!!

I've never had my hair done here but Claire gave me the best eyebrow wax that I have ever had! Highly recommended!

After trying a few stylists in the Long Beach, Orange County and San Diego area... I think I have finally met my match with Molly. Molly is a stylist at Arezzo Salon in Carlsbad. A friend referred me and only had good things to say... so what the heck!?! From the looks of the other reviews... I'm not the only one that likes Molly. She "gets" my sense of humor... which is important. Everyone there at the salon have always been nice and cordial. My new wife has also started seeing her to get her hair dyed and cut. Dyed.... The wife tells me the right term is "getting a cut and color." Lastly, one of my favorite things is to arrive for my appointment to have Molly put a cold "beverage" in my hand to start things off.

Had to have my hair fixed after getting butchered at Paul Mitchell "The School." Figured word of mouth is a pretty good bet so I drove from Eastlake to Carlsbad to have my sister's hairdresser fix the mess. Paul Davids was GREAT. Really cool guy - gave me an EXCELLENT cut (my hair is really difficult too...wavy and THICK) that is incredibly precise. Color looks great too...nice and shiny, really rich color. I'll definitely be making the trip up there to keep going to him. Worth the hour drive.

After the owner contacted me from Arezzo, I explained to her that Kaylyn had used two different colors on my hair. Therefore, the top was one color while, the bottom was another. This severely damaged my hair and I had to cut off 2". I made an appointment a few days later at Travis Parker Salon who was able to fix the damage at a cost of $250. The owner asked if there was anything she could do and I told her a refund would be the right thing to do which was $105. Her response? She stated, "She was unable to give me a refund because she did not see my hair after Kaylyn did it and next time I need to speak with someone directly at the salon". However, the way the stylist did my hair it was hard to tell that there were two varying colors in my hair right away. However, when I woke up the next morning and saw the damage I was mortified. Never again will I be going to this salon. Nor will I let any of my friends go here. Not only did I suffer from a bad hair job the owner wasted my time by emailing to no avail did she offer any kind of help. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Review from Tia M.
Rancho Santa Fe, CA
I came here last May for a haircut and hi-lites with Lucy. Um, how do I do my review here without sounding mean? Let me start with the fact that Lucy made me wait for 30 minutes while she finished cutting her client's hair. Clearly, it was her client's first time for a haircut with her and boy, she did not look happy after her hair was done. I should have took that as a warning sign. And my gut instict was right. After my haircut and hi-lites, Lucy kept saying, "oh, it's so pretty!" and I wanted to say, "it's pretty alright....pretty ugly!" I wanted lighter hi-lites but she kept insisting that it would look tacky. Um, can you just do what the hell I tell you to do since I'm paying for it?!?!? I'm spending $150 for color I did not ask for. Then the haircut was the worse. It is not the 90's anymore and I needed layers that blended with my face. I did not need a Choppy, uneven haircut. Ugh, never, ever going back to her again. But then again, maybe she just wasn't for me. Now I go to Mark Reyes of HairLab and he is sooooooo much better!! He fixed the disaster haircut I got from Lucy. Arezzo Salon seemed decent to say the least. Very busy but too chaotic for me. The whole experience just wasnt' worth it.
