beautiful home! beautiful town! room was completely cozy and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! charlotte, the inn keeper was the sweetest thing and was very knowledgable about everything near by. home has a 'library' room with many of good books as well as a few board games where you can sit in the comfy chairs and read by the fireplace.
it was a short walk to the 'town' of woodstock where there are many of little stores to see. even a close bar to have a few cold ones.
such a pleasant stay. -

My wife and I have stayed here twice now, and each time we have come away agreeing that this is a positively delightful place to stay.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed, but that's true of many other inns and hotels. What makes the Ardmore extra special are the little touches and flourishes that took a bit of extra care and forethought on the part of the inn keepers (Charlotte and her husband, whose name escapes me at the moment, very nice people!) that really make this Inn shine.
As a for instance, we were staying for our anniversary this last weekend, and found a bottle of Champagne chilling in our room, awaiting our arrival. That's just one over the top example though - fresh baked cookies and hot tea or cider are almost always available in the living room, and there's a lovely sitting room/study where a comfy fire blazes during the winter months.
A review of the Ardmore wouldn't be complete without mentioning the food - the breakfasts are positively out of this world! These folks really know how to cook, and when you add in all the locally grown and produced ingredients, it's enough to make a decidedly non morning person like myself look forward to an early breakfast :)
Another feature here is location. The Ardmore is located a few steps from lovely Woodstock village center, with shopping, great food, and depending on when you go, events happening in the evening.
We'll definitely be back, and folks should take advantage of Charlotte's own 'Economic Stimulus' package - some very attractive rates right now. -

Like so many of the wonderful Inns my wife and I have stayed in the Ardmore Inn is perfectly appointed but host Charlotte makes the experience so extra special.
My wife and I both work in the hospitality industry and were blown away by Charlotte's flawless, solo execution of a sumptuous four-course breakfast for nine guests, each of whom were offered four choices of entree, sides, juices and hot beverages. She never even batted an eye when a ninth guest, who hadn't planned on eating, showed up at the last minute.
She also offered us just exactly the amount of help that we needed; including great suggestions and advice for fully enjoying our time in Woodstock. If you stay in B & Bs often, you may know what a truly precious quality this is. We've had many otherwise wonderful B & B experiences turned sour by pushy, odd or over-bearing hosts.
The rates are beyond reasonable, especially given the prime location and the competitor rates for this destination spot.
