We used Arco when we where moving from a Condo to a house and needed storage for at least 6months.  We signed up for the automatic payments and prepaid for 4 months so that we could get the free moving service. It all worked out great....the only thing I would mention to everyone is to be sure to move you "move out" the final day of your prepaid month. In other words they will not pro-rate the monthly fee if you go over. We went over 1 week due to the delay in our home closing and we had to pay for a whole month.
Other then that Arcos is a clean, safe and I would use them again.

I've never really thought about good storage places and bad storage places.  I basically thought, it's a mini garage where people keep the "crap" they can't fit in their house and therefore what kind of amenities do you really need.  Do you really go there that often where certain amenities matter?

Then along comes Arco's Self Storage to show me how a real storage place should be.  First of all, it's indoors! None of this running back and forth from the truck to your storage in the rain, getting you and your "crap" all wet.

Second, they offer controlled climate storage.  Now, maybe I don't want to know what kind of "crap" you're storing that needs to be climate controlled, but if you need it, they have it.

Third, and I don't know if this is standard but I wouldn't think it is, but every unit is separately alarmed.  By inputting your pin number which opens the big roll up door it disarms your storage unit (and only your storage unit).  When you leave, you punch in your code again to rearm it.  Your "crap" is as safe as safe can be.

This place also has wine storage, which I'm sure a few of you caught on to by the name of the place.  Some good deals, buy 1 month, get the 2nd month free.  Buy 3 months get a huge moving truck and a driver(!) for the truck to haul all your "crap".  Nice big dollys and a freight-type lift to help you get to the second level, if necessary.  And of course, the staff is very friendly.

Oh yea, and this place is CLEAN..i mean, if it was legal to sleep in your storage unit, I'd roll out my sleeping bag right there on the floor and snuggle up next to my "crap".  Okay, maybe not, but you get the idea.  These storage units are very, very clean.  Everything looks pretty new.

Who would have thought that someone could get this excited over a storage facility, but Arco's doing it right!

So, if you have extra "crap" that needs storing, check this place out.  It's so nice, it'll even make your "crap" look like "stuff"!

Definitely a five-star experience as far as storage goes. I know it's not something many people put much thought into, but I use my storage unit only for work stuff since I live in the city and don't have a garage. I only need a fairly small space, but I have to access it a lot.

So after a little digging, I found Arco on The Yelp. My first impression walking into the office, I was greeted by Emilio, the owner, who gave me a personal tour and background on the building. Both Emilio and Cathy, the manager, were friendly and gracious in answering my questions.

The building itself is practically brand new, it's got state of the art security features, a business center and conference room, plenty of different-sized carts for anything you might need to haul, and even lights in the unit (I know, a small touch but you'd be surprised how many don't).

All that, and their prices are cheap compared to comparable places in SF. On site they've also got climate-controlled storage for wine and collectibles, file storage, PO boxes and a box van for move-in/move-out.

This is bar none the best storage facility I've encountered. Highly, highly recommended.

Considering it was the first time we were renting out a storage space, I was quite nervous and also confused as to what I needed to look for.. It wasn't any easier that almost all storage places tended to have very mixed reviews! The fact that Arco's had 6 5* reviews definitely caught my eye and now I know why!

I spoke to Emilio (owner) on the phone and he gave me a very helpful rundown about storage spaces, how to store and how to choose your space.. He also gave me a great deal (1+month free)  on our storage. We got their help for our move-in and the guys were pretty great too, very efficiently un-loading our U-haul & packing everything into our tiny space meticulously.

Other pros (based on my extensive research) :
-Long access hours (upto 10pm, most places only have access till like 6pm)
-Loads of security cameras in place
-Motion sensor lighting - trust me, it is very helpful!
    -Very tidy, well-maintained interiors
-Forklift to help with moving in - they only have one lift on one end of the building which I thought would be such a pain while moving in but the forklift they provide on the other end (closer to our space) was such a great idea! Made life a LOT easier!
    - Very forthcoming staff who're great at what they do.. They always seem helpful and definitely value their customers!

Overall, a great place to store stuff at, would definitely recommend it!

Great facility. I've used another local storage company in the past, and that is when one realizes why Arco is WAY better.  Convenient parking in front, plenty of carts, super security system, heavy-duty doors, impeccably clean, all indoors (which means no mold or critters), and there is always staff on site if you have questions (contrary to the other place, that had only one person who could never be located when needed).

Location is a little out of the way (industrial section of So.SF), but fairly easy to find. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is also super friendly and helpful.  I've been using them for around 2 years, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I originally chose this place, based on its proximal location to my work.

However, once I started doing research on other places, I realized how GREAT this business is.  Cathy, the manager, is a dream to work with, and she was like my moving therapist when I became convinced this was all going to be the biggest nightmare.
She worked to give me the best space for my situation, and I felt like it was one less thing for me to worry about.

One HUGE bonus was that they actually sent movers to pick up my stuff, once I put down 2 months rent on my space.
The movers were great- on time, fast, polite and total workhorses.
They had everything done, start to finish in less than 2 hours.
And now that everything is safely stored?  I'm totally happy with my space, the access, the safety, location and overall vibe of the place.
So glad I came here, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a clean, safe, accessible place for their most prized possessions.

The owner of Arco's, Emilio, rocks!  He is friendly and willing to go the extra mile for his customers.  His positive attitude extends to his staff who are also very friendly.  It's been my experience that the family owned storage facilities provide the fairest rates and the best customer service, and Arco's is no exception.

The facility is clean and well lit.  Each unit is connected to an alarm system that has to be disabled at one of the entrances to the building, an added bonus.  Access hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  I have only positive things to say and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for extra storage (I will only say that now that I've secured a unit, moo ha ha ha!).

When my husband told me that he need to be in Europe for the next six months for his job I was overwhelmed.  We had a 1 month old baby and I had to figure out what to do with an apartment full of stuff, a wine collection and of course a car.  That's where Cathy came in and saved the day.  She set me up with a wine locker, a storage locker and car storage.  They came and picked up my stuff and my wine and packed it expertly into my storage locker.  They took their time and treated my things with care.  They are accepting our wine club shipments while we are gone.  This place is immaculate and the people are so professional and nice.   I really can't say enough good things.  Many thanks!

Before taking possession of my unit, In both my conversations on the phone, and arranging things in person, I continue to be impressed with Arcos.

Their facilities are also very good: everything is clean, orderly, thought out. He mentioned for example that they recently added a bathroom for use by customers when they're there on the weekend and well...you know. This was in response to listening to customer feedback.

Moving day went fantastically. Arcos was running a special that allowed me to use their truck and drivers (helping with the move) if I prepaid several months. Not only were the drivers helpful, but very quick. There were a few furniture scuffs and wall scuffs, but I've experienced these even with professional movers, so I was very satisfied with that.

What blew me away was what happened when we got to the storage unit. Emilio, the owner, had recommended an upstairs unit based on my needs. The movers, plus a few other employees, all pitched in to unload the truck. They used a forklift and special platform to move everything instantly up to the second floor. I'd never seen anything like that. Then, they professionally packed the unit for me, getting it all in there far better than I ever could have.

Afterward I talked with both the manager and the owner and continued to be impressed about how easy they were to talk to, and how much they seemed to be enjoying their business.

    Amazing!

I agree with 100% with the other reviewers.  I was in a situation where I was on the road frequently and had not fully relocated, and found myself with a bunch of extra junk (well, not junk, actually clothing and wine) that I did not want to carry with me everywhere I went.  Enter Arco's, which was a lifesaver.  The owners are fantastic, no b.s. in the entire setup process.  And when I forgot to lock my storage area the 100% right way, they called me less than 24 hours later, so you know they're keeping an eye on things.  The facilities are new, clean, cool, quiet, code-protected, indoors, and dry.  And the prices are very reasonable--you get high-end storage and treatment for the same price as a lot of "bargain" operators who would charge as much to store things outdoors where heat, water, and bugs become a problem.  Trust me, I've been there.  Arco's was a short-term solution for me, but if I ever needed long-term storage in the Bay Area, I'd never look anywhere else.
