This a well-managed, and lovely property!
I lived here for 4 years, and moved out a few years ago. I loved my 2 bedroom apartment! Very spacious, modern design, quiet, and a beautful view of oaks trees and the pool. The kitchen was beautiful, and I was able to entertain guests frequently and comfortably.
I made several friends in the complex, and everyone was very nice during the time I lived at Archstone. -

The property is alright and probably newer than anything else in Thousand Oaks but apartments are not well designed and don't provide a comfortable living experience. We left after our lease expired and love where we live now so I can really tell the difference. We also did not have a good experience with Archstone (As a company). So I would recommend looking elsewhere and rent here only if no other option is available. Westlake Village has some really nice rentals that are much better.

BEWARE!!! When we moved in the property managers and maintenance manager kept the place very clean and well cared for. Unfortunately, earlier this year almost the entire management team left and the new management team don't care. There is broken glass in the hallway (been then over two weeks until I finally vacuumed it myself), huge dings and big scrapes in the hallways, broken wall lamps, and trash left in the garage for weeks at a time.
The worst part is when you move out. I cleaned the apartment and even had the carpet cleaned and the manager who did the final walk through said we would need to pay for their "contracted company" to clean and that they would need to paint the entire apartment because there were a couple of very faint marks (made from the rubbing of our couch on the wall). Also know that they will charge you for the time and supplies to paint (including paint, paint brushes, rollers, etc.).
BEWARE before you move in that you will not get your deposit back. Their procedure is to tack on fees on top of fees so that you will NEVER get your security deposit back (or only a very small percentage of it 2-10% if you leave the apartment absolutely completely spotless).Comment from Community M. of Archstone Thousand Oaks Plaza 11/29/2011
