I was in Charlottesville visiting a friend who heard good things about Arch's and wanted to give it a try. We were not disappointed. With 4 flavors to choose from (at the time we were there) and endless toppings, you could probably create hundreds of creations. My favorite was the last one I tried: Chocolate and vanilla twist frozen yogurt with gooey brownie (undercooked brownie), mini marshmallows and peanut butter sauce. Yum!

Arch's is a college life staple in Cville. And yes, the ice cream *excuse me, frozen yogurt* is not bad. But in truth, everyone goes there to have some ice cream with their friends.

There is some things on the menu that I do, in fact, really like. I am a total chocoholic and so I love "death by chocolate." Granted, you can only eat about 3 spoonfuls of it. Sometimes, it's also just nice to get some ice cream. But Arch's really isn't the greatest place on earth...

If you must go, go to the one on Ivy. There are less people and more chairs. It's cleaner too.

College would be incomplete without calling the Arch's hotline to hear the flavors of the day.  Arch's on the Corner is obviously the one that gets the most action, but there is a location on Ivy as well (if you are the type of person who likes a quiet atmosphere in which to consume fro-yo.)  The best thing about Arch's is definitely the rotating and new flavors - also... it's really difficult to mess up frozen yogurt.  Is it the best I've ever had? No - I'm more of a gelato fan.  However, living in C'ville requires a trip that turns into 10, then 25, then 236.  It's just so accessible.

I love this place!  Their selection changes from day to day which helps mix it up.  It's a great place to go after dinner or if you happen to be walking by in the heat.  It's open til 11 and they have a million different sizes ready to cater to any appetite (or lack of - there's always room for froyo).

Everybody loves this place, but it's just not my cup of tea.  The Archers are pre-designed creations featuring frozen yogurt with toppings blended in.  You can also choose your own yougurt flavor and toppings.  I find the small archer too much after dinner.  I'd prefer ice cream to frozen yogurt, but the sorority girls don't seem to mind.  They've tried to add sandwiches and salads to the menu, but they don't seem to have taken off the way the frozen yogurt has.  It can get pretty crowded at night here (the one on the Corner), but the Ivy store is usually not overrun and I don't think it serves food.

Don't believe the hype.  I suppose a frozen yogurt joint will always appeal to sorority girls as it doesn't sound as fattening as ice cream.  but with all the random stuff they mix in the froyo, i think i'll just find my calories in a scoop at ben and jerry's.  the froyo and the toppings all have a really sugary, or perhaps sugar substitute-like, flavor that makes me feel sick to the stomach.  But, hey, if you love frozen yogurt, go for the location on Ivy, it's not as packed and the walk is pleasant.

I agree with Cindy and Joyce. If you're looking to waste your time with the sorority set and froyo, this is the place for you, but if your looking for good ice cream and a hearty heaping scoop of yummy goodness there are better options!
