This is a super-fun gift shop! Every time someone comes to visit from out of town I bring them here as part of the "grand tour of Olympia." We love laughing at all of the funny magnets, toys, and greeting cards, and oogling the awesome selection of jewelry. Also, it's the only place I know of to get Olympia t-shirts, shot glasses, and other touristy-things.
Also, for years "my scent" has been an Archibald Sisters original scent--Olympia Rain. I love that I can get not only my perfume, but matching body wash and lotion as well. -

One of the best, most unique shops in downtown Olympia, if not THE best! I love their activity books and journals, and adore their one-of-a-kind perfumes. Sooo yuumm! I purchased their OlyGirl perfume and was in Heaven.
I also recommend any of the natural, organic body products and gifts... perfect for a friend or family member. -

This is a cute little gift shop. Love the hilarious Christmas cards. Only bad thing is the powerful soap scent when you walk in is very overpowering. If you are in the area this is worth stopping in to browse a bit. Even if you don't purchase anything the merchandise is very amusing.

Archibald Sisters has EVERYTHING.
It is the best place to shop for gifts. You have your goofy, classy, useful, stylish, tacky, funny, and sweet! It is a shop of many flavors as well as many scents, and on that note...
...THE BEAUTY BAR.
I go here EVERY TIME I run out of shampoo, lotion, or soap. Why? Because it is SO DARN FUN to make your own!
You see, this place has literally thousands of possible combinations of scents for personal hygene and beauty products that you can combine to make your own signature scent along with their pre-made favorites (Think OlyGirl! :D) and all at great prices. You can see in the photos several of their bottled gels and possibilities, but you can even choose your COLOR, which, to me, plays off of a childish glee that I get from having multicolored "potions" at my disposal come bathtime.
Some of their gift prices can be a little high, dependent on the item, but they have a wonderful staff and are a joy to visit. If you are in our neighborhood, let me know and I WILL DRIVE YOU PERSONALLY. ;3 -

"So, this might sound extremely random, but I really need to find _______."
If you find yourself saying that sentence, Archibald Sisters is the place to look. I've filled the blanks with the following things and been wonderfully delighted at the results.
-Fake Mustaches
-A Mustache Comb
-Olympia Beer Things
-Cards with naked people on them
-Pirate themed random gifts
-Ninja themed random gifts
-Jesus themed random gifts
-Bacon literature
They have practical things like lotions and hats too... but I only seem to go in there for bizarre things. -

I would recommend that anyone visiting Olympia go to this store. Just go. Find a nice present for someone. They'll appreciate it. Lots of stuff to make boys and girls look and smell delicious!
I got this luminescent hydrating gel. I've seen similar products that are really expensive, but a small bottle is $4. I want to mix it with foundation or lotion, so I look all lit from within.
I wish I had time to smell all of the oils.
I have some Oly Girl lotion and shower gel to remind me of my time in Olympia!! -

I've been going to Archibald Sisters since circa 96' when ever my cool aunt rescued us from our teentsy tiny town out in the boondillies she'd take us to Olympia and we'd always go to Archibal Sisters! Absolutely love Olympia Rain to me it smells like nothing else I could buy to rub all over my limbers to make them smell scentsational! And now living days away in the middle of the desert people seem to notice the scent even more I get oodles of compliments on how tasty I always smell. I make it a point to visit and stock up everytime I get home to WA. Wish they'd beef up their website it's pretty dorky.

This place definitely has the quirky, unique vibe that is pure Oly. There are so many cool things! Of course, none of it is stuff you really need, but you feel as though you can't leave the store without it.

I'm never bored when browsing in this place, which is unusual - I have an acute case of fabric-store malaise that hits me whenever I'm shopping and there is nothing around to hold my interest. When shopping in Oly, you must stop in and check this place out.
Oly fun fact: I saw that the parking meters took pennies (!!!) and I put one in a meter, and it showed my time as 15 minutes. I'm sure that can't be right, but I'm going to test it out on other meters in future visits. In the meantime, there is a place in Oly where you can park for an hour for 4 cents. Isn't that grand? -

This is a place we take people visiting from out of town. They have lots of fun quirky items. I find myself purchasing items that serve no practical purpose. Love it!

Oh Archibald's. I loved you when I was in middle school and I still love you now. It was always a big deal coming here, because we TOOK THE BUS!...back when it was like 10c (I'm totally dating myself here). But you got here and the store is all girly with chocolate, yummy smells, toys, etc. More specifically, they sell jewelry, hippy stuff (candles, incense, charms), also have a section of sexy joke toys (a la Spencer's), and a unique card section.
But what I think they are known for, is their body collection of lotions, shampoo/conditioner, body wash. They have their signature scents (Oly Rain, anyone?) but you can also CUSTOMIZE and get your own scent. They also carried glitter lotion long before Twilight, and long before being glittery was kind of cheesy (maybe it's always been cheesy and I had young and crappy taste).
We always go here when we visit Oly. We just gotta.Listed in: Oly *love*

Nothing I could write here could give this store justice. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.
If you haven't already GO THERE GO THERE GO THERE!
Only bad thing to say....50 dollars for a hoodie that says OLYMPIA? I don't get the price. Yes Olympia is the coolest town that ever was, but 50 dollars for the hoodie?? Its totally awesome but not 50 dollars awesome.
Ok the OLYMPIA decal is proudly displayed on my rear window of my car. Love this store...LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. GO THERE GO THERE GO THERE. -

When I get dragged to Archibald Sisters by my wife, I like to pretend that I hate it. But really, I love it. it's a great, unique store and Olympia is so much better off by having it in town. Olympia shopping wouldn't be anything without it - just another town filled with replaceable boutiques.
Archibald Sisters has everything - jewelry, Olympia stuff, Archie McPhee toys (it's kind of like Archie south), cards, kids stuff and of course their perfumes, lotions, body washes, colognes, etc. The wife loves those and so do I because of both how she smells and because they recently released a line of male fragrances. I hate wearing smelly stuff but their Galaxy after-shave and cologne is good stuff and almost the only thing that I can stand.
And if you aren't in Olympia and can't get back, they have a handy-dandy website that you can purchase any of their fragrances from. It's too bad they haven't revolutionized scratch-N-sniff internet technology yet though.
One big tip for the guys: Put down your hangups about Archibald Sisters...this can almost be one stop Christmas time shopping for your special lady friend. -

I have been shopping at Archibald Sisters for over fifteen years. It just keeps getting better. This is the best store to get off the wall gifts for friends and relatives. This was the only store I found a cow clock with a moving tongue! I bought it the second I saw it and gave it to my mother on her birthday. She had it until it broke during a move.
Archibald Sisters is one of the MUST SEE stores in downtown Olympia. It's fun, is a great place to find fun stuff, and the customer service is phenomenal. -
Review from Gloria H.
I can't believe this place is still open! I lived in Oly for a year in 1993 and they where there. I loved them then and love them now. The vanilla mash ups with fruit sent lotions are the best! You could eat your own hands after using them. I also like that the lotion is a bit on the watery side, hand lotions often are made too thick and leave too much residue. These lotions are the best. The pricing is perfect compared to outrageous cost of mall boutiques.

You can't EVER go wrong in this place. Everything is fun! Some of it is practical. Where else can you get a rubber chicken in Oly?

I love it! I love love love it! I have loved it since I was in elementary school, when the novelty candy, little toys & other knick knacks totally drew me in. Now I love it more for the yummy lotions, moderately priced jewelry, and cute selection of greeting cards. Anytime I'm in Olympia I always stop by and even after 10ish years (yikes I'm getting old...at 21 lol) the place still holds the same charm.

What an awesome, funky little store in Olympia! We decided to stroll the streets to check out all the fun stores that this fun little town has to offer so we stopped in here. The first thing we thought is that it is just like Archie McPhees with all the silly novelties and candy and the feeling that you just aged backwards by about 15 years. Upon further investigation though, you will find fun Olympia/Washington stuff, greeting cards, lotions/perfumes, jewelry, and plenty of cool stationery and gift wrap in the back. I spent a long time in this store admiring everything they have to offer. I was especially enthralled with all their perfume scents. This is definitely an awesome store and a must go to if you are in Olympia.

Archibald Sisters is a really cute novelty shop that you must check out if you are ever in Olympia. It is typical of many others you have probably already been too, but this one also includes a wide range of lotions and potions. I like to get cards and little decorative note pads myself and this is the place to find great options.

My lil sis took me here as it was her favorite spot while going to Evergreen. I loved it! Awesome gift store, great gifts for the progressive and liberal. Yay for queers and feminists! I especially enjoyed the novelty candy section and stationery. I could spend a fortune in here. A must if you are in Olympia.

I have loved this great little store since I was a young girl. It has a wide variety of fun and unique gifts. Their lotions' scent lasts a long time and don't irritate my sensitive skin. I especially love Vanilla Coconut, Vanilla Sugar, and Oly Girl. The staff is friendly and attentive which is always a plus.

Besides the fact that I can't be in there for very long Archibald Sisters is the second best place to go in Olympia to get a fun gift for someone. They have colorful funny gifts for every kind of person. They also have amazing fun gift cards. The staff is friendly. I can't stand the smell, but I go there anyways for great quality gifts and amazing make-up and lip balm.

Every time I go into this store, I leave smelling like a brothel. I love going in to test the vast amount of scents, and always leave with a new favorite...at least for that week. I'm fickle, ya see. I am a proud hoarder of scents from here. I am also pleased that there is at least one store that still sells cat-eye sunglasses! I just can't do the big 80's glasses that are all the rage now (but they have 'em)...I suffered through that already as a child. Lots of unique items (bacon wallets!). I will recommend to try and resist the urge to buy the zombie mints. As tempting as they are, they taste like gerbil food. Is that what brains taste like?
