Quite possibly my favorite beach, with Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz being number one in my heart - always and forever.
Cannon Beach is a crowded beach that smells like dog piss near every entrance. Haystack Rock is alluring, but the tide is too high to really enjoy it. We were tired of all of the people and decided to drive 3 miles south to Arcadia. There was plenty of parking, a cleaner bathroom, less people, no dog pee smell, and a pleasant walk to the beach.
The beach is amazing. There was a slight fog, and it moved from one end of the beach to the other while we were there. Plenty of areas for great photo ops. I really enjoyed this beach, and I see why people would want to build their dream house here on the cliffs. What an amazing thing to see when you first wake up. -

This seems to have become my favorite beach to watch sunsets at on my last day on the Oregon Coast.
When I was there watching the sunset, a local was there and he made the comment that he had just returned from Aruba and the people there were commenting on the sunsets there, but there was nothing that could compare to the sunsets on Arcadia Beach.
I would have to agree, although I've never been to Aruba, I have been to some amazing places in this world and I don't think any, but one of the sunsets I have seen compares to the ones I've seen on Arcadia Beach (Antigua would be the only one that compares, but that has multiple reasons behind it).
Although the beach is relatively short in length, I have never seen it crowded.
It's just a little bit south of Cannon Beach off of Hwy 101 and is conveniently close to catch the highway to Portland to take the non scenic route back up to Seattle right after sunset.Listed in: Oregon Coast

Wow.
My mom calls this her favorite place to be, second to Hawaii. It is soooooo pretty here. There is a large rockface that blocks the wind, so you can actually enjoy yourself without having your hair flap in your face.
Just do yourself a favor - next time you're near here, stop in. You'll be glad you did.Listed in: Oregon.

Wow! Can you say 'photo ops'?! We were there @ 5 pm on a sunny day, there weren't many people & certainly not al ot if tourists. You can walk forever on this beach in low tide. Gorgeous looming rocks & shellfish dotting the sands. If u want to do an ocean nature walk, this is the beach! We did see one huge mollusk, not sure what it was.
