Let' kick this off with a little background...
I got engaged on 8/22/2010 and my fiancé and I decided to set our date for 11/11/11. Upon returning from our cruise I was on the hunt to find a venue for our wedding on this popular date. In my crazed state I called every venue under the sun. My count was that 40% picked up the phone, and of those I left messages for 0% returned my calls. At this point Arbor Pointe wasn't even on my radar (no yelp reviews, which is how I make a good number of my decisions). Frustrated with the type of service I was getting from these vendors I expanded my search and sent feelers out to friends to keep their ears open for venues in the North Austin area that could accommodate my wedding.
Alas my friend and bridesmaid Kristin told me about Arbor Pointe (AP), a coworker had a wedding there recently. I called AP, at some random time like 11pm on a Sunday and my call was promptly returned, a tour promptly scheduled, and Kristin Ott (not the aforementioned Kristin) the Event Coordinator (KO-EC) inquired about both the "feel" I was going for and my budget.
1st meeting and tour:
KO-EC presented me with all the different package options within my budget that fit the "feel", wowed me with knowledge and professionalism, and gave me ample time to make a decision about booking the date.
Since the first meeting and tour communication with AP has been effortless and worthwhile. I have about 8 months until my wedding and I am pretty certain that my planning and coordination with AP and KO-EC has filled my list with checkmarks.
This place is cute, affordable, and well worth the look.
If you are a yelper, and base your decision off of yelp reviews as I do in some cases, this ones for you.

They were horribly horribly disorganized. They were out right rude. They tried to shake down the groom for check before as he was going on out for the mother son dance. The owner is a crazed paranoid that insist on locking all the doors while people are using the rooms. I would give negative stars but the tool requires as least one. The bar staff barely managed to get drinks out in a timely manner.
