What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary for two nights. The owners, Dan and Candy, clearly have passion for their fine establishment and patrons because they make sure that you WILL get a fulfilling experience in wine country.Don't be afraid to ask them what the recommend because they know the best places with the best deals!

A homey, delectable breakfast is served each morning between 8:30am-9:30am. We stayed in the "Enchanted Dream" room. It had a jacuzzi, fireplace, and a plush queen-sized bed. The chandelier above the jacuzzi was a nice touch too ;) Our room welcomed us with chocolates on the bedside tables, a mini Mumm Champagne bottle, and a card that read "Happy Anniversary Adlyn and Ruben." I'm a Libra so i go gaga over the "fluff."

If you've never stayed at a B&B before like me, this is the PERFECT first experience. And even if you did and had a weird/bad experience, this will make you change your mind about B&B's.

Shout out to Dan and Candy for being from South City! :D

This place was immaculate, from the yard to the room.  The hosts were very friendly and had lots of recommendations.  The breakfasts were good, very gourmet main course which was different every day.  I guess I don't need to repeat what everyone else is saying, just that I concur with the reviews; excellent place to stay.

We did stay in the garden room which is separate from the main house, and I would recommend that if it is open.  We stayed out late each night so it was nice to have our own private entrance and privacy.

My wife and I had the extreme pleasure of staying at the Arbor Guest House Bed & Breakfast in Napa, Ca. this past weekend for our Wedding Anniversary. To say that we Tremendously enjoyed our experience would be an understatement! The Ambience, atmosphere and Amazing staff made it that musc more enjoyable.

Candy and her staff ensured that they catered to our every need. Our dinner reservations were made for us for the night we checked in, there was a complimentary bottle of champagne awaiting  in our room to celebrate our anniversary, and Candy personally organized and arranged our wine tasing tours for the following day. When you have an owner that cares that much to go out of their wat to ensure that your needs are addressed, it shows that they care about each and every guest as well as the longevity of their business.

The Arbor View room was Amazing! Very comfy bed, remote controled fireplace and ceiling fan, jaccuzi bathtub and SOFT TOWELS that do not reek of chlorine or bleach! (it's the little things! :)) The garden and grounds were aslo manicured and landscaped immaculately!  My wife and I made the descision while there that this will become a yearly tradition of ours on our Anniversary. Definitely recommend Arbor Guest House if you are staying anywhere near the Napa Wine Country!

Candy and family were incredibly sweet and accommodating. They know everything you need to know about Napa - best food, vineyards, who to talk to, best deal, etc. They may even be able to hook you up with free tastings at certain vineyards. The house is really quaint, charming and quiet.

We stayed in the 'enchanted dream' suite, which included a fireplace, hottub and two lindt truffles. Also, they were very generous with wine, hors de ourves and breakfast was amazing. You will leave stuffed, buzzed and happy. DO IT.

Dan and Candy are perfect hosts and this is our choice-accommodations every time we spend the night in Napa. The owners + hosts make sure you have *everything* and often give you advice and insight you wouldn't find in any tour gude. Highly recommended.

Really cute B&B in Napa.  The proprietor was super helpful.  If you need assistance with wineries and things to do around the area, Candy is very obliging.  She planned our day for us.

We got the room with the original claw foot tub.  The tub was charming, but a bit awkward to take a shower in with the shower curtain wrapping around and closing you in.  The room itself was very comfortable if not a bit cozy and it had some nice touches like two wine glasses and a wine key (if you happen to pick up a bottle at a wineries) and complementary bottles of water.  There are also additional bottles of water and sodas in a mini fridge in the common area if you need more.   Some cookies and chocolates are also left out for your enjoyment.

Breakfast was lovely and included a OJ, coffee, fresh fruit, some sort of baked good, chicken sausage and a Frittata.  It was very fitting for breakfast in Napa.

Overall, great place to stay if you are looking for something a little different than the run of the mill hotel.

Let me start by saying that I was completely opposed to the idea of staying at a bed and breakfast before I stayed here. I was convinced that I would be forced to mingle with creepy people like the love-ahs Will Ferrel and Rachel Dratch played together on Saturday Night Live.

Well, the reality could not have been further from my imagined experience. We had a wonderful time staying at the Arbor Guest House. First, our room was beautiful, clean, and well appointed. The house itself is well kept, as is the spacious yard that surrounds it out back. The breakfasts are served at individual tables, and the food was amazing.

Dan and Candy were awesome. Their recommendations were spot on, and definitely made the trip a memorable one. I highly recommend making time for the wine and cheese gathering in the early evening, as you will get to know the owners, and other guests in an informal, fun atmosphere.

The location of the B&B is toward the bottom of the valley, so there is some driving necessary to get St. Helena or Calistoga, but there are very good places to eat within walking distance and it is hard to beat the value for what you get here. I have placed the price at moderate, which I think is fair when you consider what you would pay for just about anywhere else in the Napa Valley - considerably more.

We would definitely stay here again when we come back!

What an awesome experience we had at the Arbor Guest House.  We have stayed at Bed and Breakfasts in the past, but none come close to comparing to the experience we had at Arbor Guest House.  From the moment we walked through the front door, we felt like family.  Dan and Candy have gone out of their way to assure a perfect stay.  We arrived with no plans for the days we would spend in Napa.  Candy was quick to make suggestions of things to do and places to eat.  We let her know what we wanted to do, and she made all of our reservations!    Oh and I do need to mention the incredible breakfasts.  So delicious!!  We are vegetarians and they made sure we had plenty of awesome food to eat.  And in the evenings we sat by the fire and relaxed with a glass or two of wine and appetizers while chatting with the other guests and the innkeepers, Amanda and Theresa.  Like Candy and Dan, these young ladies were extremely helpful.

I just can't say enough good things about the Arbor Guest House.  Anyone going to the Napa Valley really should stop by for a visit.  You will not be disappointed.  We will be definitely be back!

Beautiful inn in the heart of the town of Napa.

Our room was modern, spotless and recently redone.

We came in late and left early but the hosts were kind enough to leave us a welcoming note and bottle of champagne anyway.

I'm not going to lie, when we first saw the house, we were scared.  We didn't know what to expect, especially since it was our first bed and breakfast.  We were ready to call it quits and just drive to the Embassy Suites a few blocks away.  That would have been a HUGE mistake.

Everything from the smell, the service, the beautiful detail, even the food was PERFECTION.  We checked into the Garden Room which had it's own private entrance, a faux fireplace to set the mood, nice flat scree, a beautiful antique bed, a jacuzzi bathtub.  I was speechless, who would have thought that my guy had it in him to be so romantic.  Eh, sometimes...

To be quite honest, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed our wonderful stay here if we stayed in the main house.  My suggestion is that if you plan to stay here, try to book the room in the guest house.  I enjoyed how we didn't need to tip toe around.  Side note--We were the only "young couple" that stayed there that night.  All the other guest were probably around their late 50's and 60's.  So it was good we were secluded, just to avoid the awkwardness.

The breakfast was delicious: scones, fresh fruits, spinach and potato frittata, and pineapple sausage.  Everything tasted fresh and cooked just the way I like it...not too greasy or salty.  Also another important factor, the place was clean, our room was pretty much spotless.

Perfect getaway, I highly recommend this place.  Fellas, if you really want to impress your lady, TRUST ME, this place is perfect.  I really can't wait to come here again.

My husband and I had our first stay at a Napa B&B here at Arbor. I chose it because it was decently priced (I believe they had a special), had good reviews, and there were hot tubs. While my husband is adverse to B&Bs for the most part it was hard to be adverse here.

Think rainy napa day in February. A warm fire to cuddle up to and a bubbly in-room hot tub to sip champagne in...what more could you ask for?

It's worth noting that the innkeeper was a delight and breakfast was delicious! I totally recommend this B&B.

    Great Bed and Breakfast!!!

My husband and I came for a relaxing getaway and had the best time. It was our first bed and breakfast experience and we were both a little nervous. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and beautiful. I think we had the smallest, simplest room of all of them (no fireplace or spa tub) but it was perfect. Nice bathroom, sitting area and the bed was comfy. I loved waking up to the smell of breakfast in the morning.

The breakfast was delicious! A great way to start the day. Also Dan and Candy were perfect hosts. They had a lot of great suggestions for places to go and things to do, which all worked out well. Candy was even nice enough to share her breakfast recipes with us which we have made many times since we have been home. :)

I wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful grounds and get a massage. Maybe next time. We really enjoyed our time there.

Three of us experienced our first B&B here. It was magnificent and exceeded expectations. We stayed in the Autumn Harvest room that slept four. The main house and our room had wonderful homey touches, i.e., antiques, candy dishes, tapestry rugs, etc., a gas fireplace and spa tub!
Snacks were a welcome sight upon checking in after wine tasting and tasted even better.
Breakfast was fantastic and filling. Beverly is a sweet lady who took the reservation and fed us in the morning.
The B&B has a two-night minimum, though I was able to stay one-night by calling the day before our arrival. The price was extremely reasonable. I can't wait to take my husband!!

Staying at the Arbor Guest House was my first B&B experience, and I loved it!  The place is very cute and quaint.  The breakfasts were great.  The innkeeper, Susan, prepared both a sweet and savory meal every morning and every afternoon there were a variety of snacks to enjoy with the port wine she provided.

Susan was also very helpful, not ever having been to Napa before she was able to suggest several places for us to try.  Even after we checked out, we didn't hesitate in calling her to get some extra recommendations in our unplanned detour to Sonoma.  I would definitely stay here again.

My husband booked the Garden Room (private entrance, separate building) for our 5 year Anniversary. I cannot say enough about the impeccable level of detail that the owners- Dan and Candy give to their little gem of a BnB.

Nestled in a quiet downtown Napa location, this BnB is clean, clean, clean! Personal detail is shown to everything from the eaves on the building, to the personalized messages waiting for you when you check into your room.

Candy gave us a personal tour of the property upon check-in. Very gracious and NOT overdone. Genuine people.

The cottage was immaculate and finely appointed. Very plush.

They provide a cocktail hour daily and breakfast every morning.

Highly recommended. This is a luxury Bed and Breakfast.

LOVED this B&B! Candy and Dan were awesome hosts ... we could not have been more grateful. My husband and I spent 2 nights in the Arbor View Room - it's a separate carriage house, and had the most wonderful time. From the amazing breakfasts, the impeccable customer service, the AWESOME wine reception every evening (don't miss Dan's wine!!).....I could go on and on. They had great dinner suggestions - we were never disappointed (Allegria was sooo good!). We were on our honeymoon, and were greeted by a mini bottle of champagne in our room along with a congratulatory message. It's the special touches that make the difference....we have stayed at other B&B's and have felt uncomfortable ("stuffy" atmospheres) in the past  ..... definitely not the case here. This place is not to be missed. We will now compare every other B&B to Arbor Guest House. Period.

Don't miss out on this gem!

After coming back to Miami after my vacation, I am starting to think that the nicest people in the world live in Napa Valley. Not only am I converted to a B&B person, but after leaving the Arbor Guest House & the Inn on First I was truly saddened upon returning to the Hilton San Francisco.

The Arbor Guest House is a wonderful B&B run by a lovely couple. Candy & Dan are truly helpful with everything from making reservations to providing excellent food & wine recommendations. Dan even makes his own wine (which is great might I add)!

We stayed in La Stanza room which was cozy and very clean. My only complaint about the room would be that the bathroom door is more like a closet door, so it provides little privacy. So, if you're shy you should stay in another room.

However, I truly recommend staying here! Breakfast is beautifully cooked and served each morning. In the evening, wine and cheese are served in the downstairs living area by the fireplace.

Although we only stayed at the Arbor Guest House one night, we were made to feel right at home. These folks are great hosts!

I loved this place.  I took my wife here for our anniversary and she loved it too!   the house is very cute and clean.  The gardens were great for relaxing with a drink and talking with others.  We didn't end up playing Bocce ball but next time we will.

Dan and Candy are awesome people.  They are so easy to talk to and are full of great ideas on where to eat and where to drink.  We enjoyed drinking and eating with them in the afternoon, as well as the other guest who were all just looking for a good time Napa style.

The food was my favorite part.  The breakfast was so amazing.  Just enough to fill you up for a day of wine tasting without weighing you down.  The food to be so gourmet without being pretentious.

They were so sweet to give us a bottle of sparkling wine and two glasses in our room because it was our anniversary.  We already have plans to go back in a few months.  Can't wait.

I simply can't say enough about my stay at the Arbor Guest House. The room was very inviting. They left a happy birthday card for my fiance which was a nice way to be greeted. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and it had a modern television with wireless Internet Access. A nice cozy B&B with some modern amenitites is perfect in my book.

Breakfast was amazing and the owners were very pleasant. They provided us with local attractions, winery suggestions as well as coupons and maps. We spent the evening with them, drinking some wine that Dan (the owner) had made. It was a pleasant evening of conversation, wine and hors d'oeuvres.

If you're traveling to wine country I highly recommend you give this B&B a chance. It has all you could ask for in a B&B.

--Except a full size ironing board in the room we stayed in, but Dan said he'd be working on that. :-)

Well I must say if you have never had the experience of a B & B, let your first experience be at Arbor Guest House. Its a quaint little place that is quiet and romantic. The Innkeepers Dan and Candy are very down to earth and full of great conversation. Not to mention full of information on the goings on in and around the area. Unfortunately I only stayed one night. But plan to make it my Valentine get-away every year. Also the breakfast served was delicious. You have to go to Castillo De Amorossa and Ballentine wineries. There is so much to do and see...but there is no better way to end it than back at Arbor House in the two person jacuzzi tub and nestled by the fire drinking some fabulous wine!

I am so happy I ended up booking a place elsewhere. I just got off the phone with one of the rudest "managers" I've ever interacted with (male, wish I had caught the name). I booked a room online for December 28, 2009 based on the glowing tripadvisor reviews. The website says you'll get a confirmation, which I never got; in the three days since I submitted the request, I did a little more research and decided to book elsewhere. I called the Arbor Guest House today just to make sure nothing is on the books and was told my reservation actually went through. Because I never got the confirmation, and was now booked elsewhere, I told them to go ahead and cancel. I was curtly informed I would be charged a $35 cancellation fee, even though I never saw that on the website (I don't doubt it's on there, I must have just missed it). I politely tried to explain that my understanding of the online reservation request was that it was just that - a request. Because I had never gotten a confirmation, I just assumed I should look elsewhere (which is not unreasonable, I think). Instead of agreeing to waive the fee or respectfully explaining that the fee was automatic, I was rudely told "well, you're supposed to read what you submit" and abruptly dismissed. There was simply no reason for the attitude and I'll happily pay the $35 dollar cancellation fee to stay elsewhere. I consider myself a pretty accomodating person, and I don't expect a lot, but common courtesy and a gracious host are the mainstays of a B&B experience - I may not have stayed here, but I have enough experience w/ Arbor to tell you these are sorely lacking. I think the way you treat people who choose NOT to stay at your B&B says a lot more about your character, integrity and good will than the way you treat the people who do.

Update: Gawd bless the power of yelp and tripadvisor. I was just sent an email informing me I will NOT, in fact, be charged a cancellation fee. Thanks Dan, and NO, I will not take down my review.

Rebuttal to owner comment: Dan, please stay consistent. Your comment claims the confirmation is essentially automatic, and is not the issue. Meanwhile, the email you sent me states:
"When you called we had no power so I could not check your reservation. When I was able to look up your reservation I was able to see a confirmation was not sent, I emailed you [to withdraw the cancellation fee]."  Which one is it? The onus is not on me, as a customer, to confirm my room. The onus is on you, as the owner, to send a confirmation when you say you're going to send one; otherwise, just note that the reservation request is a firm booking, subject to no confirmation. Simple as that.

I would highly recommend Arbor Guest House for your next visit to Napa. My significant other and I were looking for a romantic getaway in the wine country and booked a stay at Dan and Candy Cocilova's lovely property. We chose the Garden Room (the first floor of the carriage house) for our stay. With private entrance and a view of the well manicured garden and fountain, it was a delightful escape. Filled with thoughtful touches and luxurious comfort, it fit the bill perfectly. A fireplace, jacuzzi tub, flat screen TV, I-Pod docking station and free Wi-Fi were a few of the amenities. We found our hosts to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable about Napa. Candy was very helpful in her suggestions and connected us with a great tour of Castello di Amorosa, which we really enjoyed. The Arbor Guest House also features evening wine tasting and h'orderves as well as a delicious and healthy breakfast. We will be certain to return to the Arbor Guest House the next time we visit Napa!

We selected this B and B in Napa from Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews.  This place exceeded our expectations.  It is located in a residential neighborhood about  a 15 minute walk from town.  Rooms are cozy- each with a fireplace and jacuzzi.  We stayed in a room in the guesthouse - the Garden Room which was large and charming. They offer spa treatment- massages in your room which was great.  Breakfast was amazingly delicious and plentiful.  The owners took care of making restaurant and winery reservations for us in advance.  Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away in Napa, thanks in no small part to this little gem.  Candy & Dan were generous, warm hosts with great attention to detail.  There was even a mini bottle of champagne in our room for our anniversary celebration!  They had wonderful recommendations of where to eat, lots of "coupons" for free tastings, and even a small fridge on the back patio so we could bring waters or sodas with us wherever we went.  The food was delicious, the rooms were tastefully done (not that sickly sweet, frilly, country style that so many of the B & Bs have) and they even had their own wine label available for tasting.

The only thing we would have enjoyed even more would have been a bigger window for breakfast, which was served between 8:30 and 9:30.  Being on vacation, it would have been nice to hang out in our rooms in the morning longer.  Once the first guest is up, however, it can get pretty noisy with doors closing and people bustling around.  I would consider these very small inconveniences, though.

If you're going to Napa for a quiet weekend in the country to sleep in all day and enjoy room service, this may not be the place for you.  If you're going to Napa to enjoy what the area provides, be close enough to town to walk, be pampered by great hosts, and leave with a feeling of being taken care of, you've got the right place.

We loved our stay here! Great location right off of Highway 29 -- about a 15 minute drive to Yountville.

The owners, Dan and Candy, are wonderful, friendly people who want to make sure their guests have the best stay possible.  They are willing to offer recommendations and have connections with several area restaurants and wineries.  We scored free appetizers and a private tasting thanks to them!

We also enjoyed the fresh breakfasts each morning -- Candy is an amazing cook!  It was nice to start wine tastings on a full stomach. :)

Our room (Arbor View) was spacious and very comfortable.  It's been a week since we stayed there, and I'm still missing the comfy bed & sheets.

We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Napa and will recommend it to our family and friends!

    Blown away!

My girlfriend and I were amazed at how great this B and B was.  We had the Arbor View room and it was incredible spacious.  The fireplace was terrific and we had our own entrance with a table and chair outside.  The garden (backyard) of this place is enchanting and it's a relaxing place to hang out and read.  Breakfast was my favorite and the happy hour treats were excellent.

You can't go wrong staying here.  As my girlfriend said, "I've stayed in a lot of B and B's and this place will be the one I rate all future places against."

My wife and I spent a night here last weekend. Not really into the whole B&B thing (or at least what I thought was the B&B thing), but this place was great. Flat screen TV, nice sized room, spa tub. The bed was comfortable, and the decor was elegant without being pretentious. And, for being centrally located in Napa, it was very quiet. The common areas of the house are cozy and inviting. The yard and patio are just secluded enough and idyllic in the morning sun.

The innkeeper was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the wine (especially, the wine, learned a lot during the afternoon wine hour). Oh, and the breakfast was a perfect finale to a great stay.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet...since most of the other reviews describe the same experience that my wife and I had.

We are a young couple and this was our first B&B experience. Due to the Arbor Guest House, we are converts to staying in a B&B whenever we can! Dan and Candy were kind, helpful, and generous. The place is clean and the room was beautiful/comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, and they are nice enough to serve their own label of wine and appetizers each evening.

You can tell that these inn keepers pour themselves into their B&B. We had a perfect stay at the Arbor Guest House, and we're confident that most anyone will to.

We had a great stay here during part of our honeymoon. We were welcomed with a note and a bottle of sparkling wine - yay for honeymoon perks! Breakfast was DELICIOUS and our room was clean and devoid of all things frilly and lacy (something that was hard to find in our search for a B&B to stay in in Napa). The yard was very nice and we enjoyed playing Bocce in the court during the wine and appetizer hour in the afternoon. We also appreciated the staff's recommendations for dinner and vineyards. Would definitely recommend to others!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here an I can only repeat what's already been said here. Bev is a marvelous hostess, cooks a great breakfast, and when you leave something behind (I left my much needed homework) she calls you ASAP an does the groundwork to get your stuff to you....thanks Bev.

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at the Arbor Guest House last week, and the stay was wonderful.  As soon as we arrived we were given a tour of the whole place by Candy.  Waiting for us in our room was a bottle of champagne.  While relaxing after getting our couples massage, we didn't even have to go downstairs for the wine and cheese reception... it was brought up to us!  Finally, the breakfast was definitely one of the highlights of the stay.  Couldn't recommend this place enough.

We stayed at the Arbor Guest House for a couple of nights for our trip to Napa. It's a quaint and charming place with attentive, generous service. They accommodated our bicycles in their garage and gave us a key so we could come and go as we pleased. Our room was first rate, sparkling clean when we got there with a nice bottle of champagne. They hosted wine and hors d'oeuvres in the early evening. The first night, it was so delicious (oysters, cheese bread, and a cheese and meat selection), we could have easily filled up there and skipped dinner! But we did get the impression that was one of the more lavish spreads. We didn't make it back in time for the other night, so we can't fairly compare. Breakfast was nicely done as well and gave all the guests time to talk with Candy and get her recommendations for things to do. She helped us a lot and provided some great coupon deals for the wineries we wanted to visit. They also provide complimentary water and soft drinks to their guests. All in all it was a phenomenal visit and we would certainly stay there again.
