This little gem is a locals secret that I just have to tell. Every time I go there the food is phenomenal!

Want extra veggies?  You have only to ask and the sweet lady (that speaks very good English) who runs the place will serve you up right!

Pad Thai is always nummers, with a little lime on the side to zest it up if that's your style.
Panang Curry is so sweet and flavorful!
Tom Ka Gai = love in a bowl.
Arawan Salad is not big enough... but then I get to go back when ever I want for another one! Oh except Wednesdays - they're closed Wednesdays.

When you ask for spicy she is sure to clarify so you don't run out of there looking silly in front of your date.

They have indoor and outdoor seating so you (like everyone else in Carmel) can bring your dog.

Thai places have come and gone in Carmel, but this spot has stayed true to it's inexpensive & intimate ways, enabling them to keep on keepin' on even during times like these.

*Disclaimer*
Now this is a place that Anthony Bordain (the show No Reservations) would like, so if you're looking for someone to look down their nose at you as you order your Tom Ka Gai then you need to keep looking.

This place is good if you want a quiet meal. I mean quiet. I went for an early dinner, but we were the only customers dining in the entire time. There were 2 other customers there who ordered to go. My friend and I had the pad thai, yellow curry, and choo-chee salmon in red curry. Altogether, it was $41 without tip.

Pad Thai - good, but a bit bland. it only has a couple of prawns in it.

Yellow Curry - really good, but the chicken was too hard for me, but i did just get my wisdom teeth out.

Choo-Chee Salmon - huge chunks of salmon, but still tasted kind of fishy. the red curry was runny. it has broccoli in it. this is a house specialty.

...If anyone cares, they serve their water with lemon slices.

I'm not really a pad-thai fan - I go for the curries. The green curry and basil-chilli curries were excellent. Very delicate flavoring and just the right amount of spice for me (a shade short of very spicy).  The noodles we ordered weren't great.  It's a small place; not a fancy or high-priced place. A refreshing change from most of the other Carmel restaurants.

Excellent egg rolls. They were packed with noodles, and they weren't too greasy. The pad thai was sweet, but not too ketchup-ish. We were disapointed with the fish, but we were craving something un-mediteraneaan, and in carmel there aren't too many non nouvelle cuisine options. This hit the spot.

This place is really understaffed, and the food is a bit of an atrocity. The server (may be the owner, too) is a really sweet lady, to the point where I almost feel bad for saying what follows... but the service was slow and spotty, the portions of rice and the watery curry were ridiculously small for the price. I guess there's not much competition for Thai food on Ocean Avenue.

A Thai restaurant that screws up pad thai seriously needs to reconsider staying in business.  I found the dish bland and on the sweeter side.  Not even salt or the wedge of lime could save it.
