Okay. I'll admit it. I'm a sucker for customer service. So when Dave responded to my bad review two years ago with a note that said they'd be happy to refund my money or send another arrangement, I was touched. Even though I didn't take him up on his offer, I decided then and there that I would give this florist another chance. The thing is, in the last two years, the only flowers I've sent have been to friends and relatives in other places. So today, my 17 year old son realizes that prom is just three short days away and he has not ordered a corsage for his date. YIKES. I ran him over to Arapahoe Florist. Upon entering the shop, a bored young woman was half lying across the counter, doing some paperwork. She barely looked up, and seemed totally unfazed by my arrival.
Me: Is it too late to order a corsage for prom?
Her: Our cutoff date is today.
Me: Great. Glad to hear we sneaked in under the wire.
Her: I'm sorry. We are no longer taking orders.
Me: But you said the cutoff day was today.
Her: That's right. Today is the day we stopped.
Me: So your cutoff day was yesterday.
Her: No, it's today.
Me: Alrighty then. Do you know of another florist that might still be taking orders?
Her: Greenwood Village Florist.
Me: Great. So they're still taking orders? (I don't normally repeat questions back to people, but this person was having a real issue with clarity.)
Her: I don't know.
Me: Okay. I'll check it out. Can you tell me where they're located?
Her: I don't know.
What was that I was saying about customer service at the beginning of this review? Because here"s the thing. I waited until the last minute. I get that. I also understand the idea of having a cutoff date. You want time to fill the orders you've already received. I get that too. What I don't get is treating customers like you couldn't give a crap whether they walked in the door or not.
By the way, I checked out the arrangements in the shop as I headed towards the door. They were as uninspired and tired-looking as the help. Now I know for sure that I will NEVER be back.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Arapahoe Floral provides exquisite designs using only the best flowers and plants. A member of our staff visits the local flowers markets weekly to pick the best flowers and plants to be used in our arrangements.
We believe in giving back to our community. That is why we donate our time and flowers to various school events and charities within the south Denver area.
