I have to admit, my boyfriend and I were REALLY hesistant about visiting a bike shop. Our budgets were limited and neither of us wanted to deal with any type of elitist attitude from some snobby, know-it-all cyclist. I am happy to say, our experience was COMPLETELY opposite of what were expecting!
Jay helped us from beginning to end. His knowledge was limitless and his happy go-lucky personality put us at ease. Our price range was on the lower end of the spectrum and Jay never made us feel less than, not even for a second. In fact, knowing we were new to the area, Jay offerred to take us down to one of the local trails. They gave us 10% off each bike and 20% off all accessories.
We are very happy with our experience and plan on keeping Arapahoe Cyclery as our home bike shop. Two thumbs up. -

What a great place to invest in a bike. I just bought a hybrid and although I had to order it, Mike helped answer pros and cons etc. There was a bit of a line when I went in but later found out that they were short on staff that day. The older gentlemen working there made sure to ask everyone if they'd been helped and apologized for the time due to short staff. How attentive! I appreciated that.
These guys know their stuff and engage with customers very well. -

There are bike shops that are closer, but I go out of my way to make this my Local Bike Shop. The staff is super-friendly (and more importantly, super-knowledgeable!), and their prices cannot be beat. The owner Mike called me several times to give me status updates on a bike I ordered, and Greg was incredible putting the bike together! I recommend them whole-heartedly, and enjoy spending time there.

I've been going to Arapahoe Cyclery for almost 10 years, now. Even when I lived 20 miles away, I made sure to drive across town to hit this place for all my cycling needs. It's that good.
They have a wide selection of bikes, bike acessories, gear and that all important ingredient: replacement inner tubes! They have an efficient repair and service department as well. Their prices are extremely fair and you probably won't find a better deal around town. It's a nice diversion from the "big box outdoor" stores, like REI.
The employees are traditionally quick to greet you and help you with your needs. Some of the same employees from the first time I dropped in 10 years ago are still there. I'm pretty sure that they're all ardent bikers themselves. In short, these guys know their bikes and will not jerk you around. I will not shop anywhere else for my bike equipment. I know they'll have what I want and I can get a good deal on it. No need to visit anywhere else.
If you buy a bike from Arapahoe Cyclery, they offer a complimentary annual tune-up for the life of that bike. They'll adjust your wheels, brakes, gears, true your wheels and clean up the whole thing--once per calendar year. That's huge.
The store's located at the Broadway and Ridge Road shopping center, between Jo-Ann Fabrics and Ace Hardware. It's even a short stroll from the Highline Canal-- I'm sure a few bikers with problems have been fortunate that the store has a such a close proximity to the Canal.
Arapahoe Cyclery has been at the same location for years, offering the same outstanding service and sales. Some things never change...and in this case, that's great. -

I dread going to bike stores. The elitist attitude that I get at most places is almost enough to make me never want to ride again!
My dad and I happened upon this place while on a bike ride when we had a mechanical problem. The guys working that day dropped what they were doing to help us. We have both been back several times since then, and we always get stellar, knowledgeable service. I live downtown, but the trek to Arapahoe Cyclery is well worth it! -

I started by taking my 15 year old mountain bike here after a friend recommended them. They tuned it up and got it working well. I bought a bike for my wife and a new one for myself from them. They were great with helping us make the right decision based on our needs and our price range based on a very good selection of bikes. They provide free yearly tune-ups and free quick-tunes if something is off.
What sets Arapahoe Cyclery apart from other places (especially the big stores) is that everyone there is an avid cyclist, loves what they do, and wants you to get the maximum enjoyment out of your riding.
These guys are great and you'll be happy being their customer. -

Great neighborhood bike shop. In particular:
1) No smarmy "pros only" attitude
2) Great bike repairs --- a place where you can go for any repair, or just to ask for a weird little do-dad (whereupon they'll rummage around a little and invariably find something either the correct do-dad, or something that will do the job! -

Wow, what a nice experience... Not long after having just bought a new road bike, I somehow managed to crack up my mountain bike (don't take an elderly Stumpjumper to Moab...), so was again looking for a bike (yikes). Coming on the heels of dealing with Wheat Ridge Cyclery in buying my road bike, the experience at Arapahoe was like night and day. Arapahoe is a smaller bike shop than WRC, and WRC still has a bigger selection of bikes on hand, but the people at Araphahoe were so much nicer to deal with. Cool, nerdy bike lovers, Greg especially was awesome. He gave me lots of options at lots of different price points, and patiently talked about the pluses and minuses of each bike. He seemed like he would've been equally happy putting me into a $400 budget mountain bike as a $4000 carbon-fiber ride. Every time I came back from riding a bike he was there asking what I thought, and had the technical knowledge to hone in on what was making the difference in the feel of the different bikes. It was so nice... Then when buying the bike (a Giant XTC 29er) he took the time to really explain the workings of the bike, for example, how to tune the disc brakes and other components. Another nice point of buying from Arapahoe is that you get a free annual tune-up for the life of the bike. I've shopped at Arapahoe, Campus, Wheat Ridge, Single Track, and Performance bike shops, and while each have their advantages, I enjoyed my experience at Arapahoe far and away the most.

i've had many-a-issue with bike shops in littleton, or more in general just with bikes in my life, but here's the deal.
i was sick of taking my sweet '80's raleigh bike into stores and them saying, "oh, this old thing? it'll be good as new with OUR tune up, so fork over $200." fun fact, not even 200 dollars could make me hate this bike less, in fact is just made me hate it MORE, because it didn't even work that well afterward!
so. here's where arapahoe cyclery comes in: last summer i decided to kick the raleigh habit and search for a new bike. knowing nothing about bikes i naturally decided i would like a brand new road bike for 200-300 dollars. the really awesome guys here straight up told me no, i was not going to find anything quality for that price. they showed me bikes, like really expensive bikes, gave me advice on where to find quality used ones, and in the end, realizing i did not even have 200 to spend on a bike, i brought sweet old raleigh in for a tune up.
unlike other shops, they, again straight up, told me it was an old bike, there was not much they could do, and that it would last me at most another year so they'd do bare minimum. except! another fun fact: for $60 they did the "bare minimum" and my bike ran like new. or what i imagine would be new, as it was older than me.
so i took it off to college, enjoyed the 6 mile ride a day to and from school, rode it nearly EVERYWHERE, and then got it stolen. that's the part of my life where i really just don't have luck with bikes.
long, LONG story aside, this place rules. they won't try to get your dinero, and they somehow are wizards with bicycles.
