Used to enjoy here before its being turned into a racino (which Im equally excited for, no more EMPIRE CITY LONG A** TRIPS!) haha.
Good stuff, cheap deals, some knock-offs are here surely (no surprise) but you can get things for every room of the house and clothing ( used and new) -

MOST IMPORTANTLY - this flea market is no longer in existence. It used to be in the parking lot of Aqueduct for decades but now that they are building the racino - they have since been booted.
I think someone told me that the vendors split up and some went to some flea market on 133rd and Rockaway - I have never been. Another group of vendors formed the "aqua DUCK flea market" somewhere in Brooklyn or something. Again I have no true idea.
Second - this flea market has not been what it once was, sadly, for quite some time now. As a child I came here with my parents. Then once older a bit came here with friends - even to Christmas shop for gifts. Then usually came a few times during each summer or so and always ended up getting something - or a bunch or "somethings"..
They used to have different stuff - nice and good stuff - real shoes, posters, cool jewelry, well made home goods and just interesting stuff you generally didn't see everywhere. That has not been the case for probably at least 6 to 10 years.
More recently, most of the vendors had mutliple booths in every isle - and every booth is identical selling the same items. Most other stuff is cheap stuff now - nothing really well made. Things like defective clothing, or just really cheap looking stuff. Most of the booths were dollar booths - and my local dollar store sells much nicer stuff...
A friend had two watch batteries replaced at the huge - and popular - watch booth and they were dead within two weeks. Stuff was definitely shoddy - and everything looked the same - isle after isle after isle.
They used to also have a few antique type vendors so you could find some cool vintage stuff. They are long gone as well.
I actually had not been in a year or two since the last few times I went it was a complete waste of time and admission but i went the week before they closed up (for old times sake) - and I came home with not a single thing - seriously. It was kind of sad - it was definitely not what it used to be. Even the fruit from the fruit vendors the last time around looked icky - so I passed. -

Flea market / open air stores.
I could hardly believe that this flea market still existed - I used to hit this many years ago. Recently a coworker mentioned it and I had to take a ride to see it again.
Much less a traditional flea market than it used to be - you do not have the guys with all the WW II stuff or concert t-shirts anymore but you do have many brand new items and plenty of the same exact things in every aisle.
A lot of the stuff is pure junk - the same that you can buy in the .99 cent stores all over the place - but they are selling them for .99 here too. There are a lot of beauty products there but I was always under the impression that strong sunlight wasn't good for those types of products - or for that matter, the olive oil one guy was selling. I know for a fact that sunlight makes olive oil rancid... apparently he does not.
On the other side of the coin, I did score some serious deals on household items - like bathroom and kitchen rugs. I even found me a garbage can for $6 - score!
Parking is available for $2 or you can walk in for $1
Worth the trip - just be wary of what you are buying! -

My gf had been wanting to take me to this place for a long time. Granted, I'm not sure why because I hate shopping. The thing I love about flea markets is how you can find unique items. This flea market isn't about that. It's more about crap that you could find most anywhere else, but for cheaper.
There are a lot of things here that I would recommend inspecting very closely. You should only buy stuff here that you are ok with not returning, mainly because you can't. It's a flea market, you'll probably never see the same guy again. I would not buy any electronics here and definitely not any video games. You can find some cheap clothing, but I'm not sure how long it will last. One of the most popular stalls was the linen section where people were buying "Egyptian sheets" and bathroom mats. The best part of the flea market is the variety of food carts. You can get some pretty good kabobs and arepas here. Make sure you get here early and bring some water especially during the summer. Most random thing I saw was some lady in the parking lot pull up her SUV and unload a huge bag of clothing onto the ground. She was selling each item of clothing for 1 dollar. Sketch-tastic. -

Haggle? Who Me???
I shop here on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday and they are also open on Tuesdays. Outdoor fun and great cheap buys!
Here's where you will find all sorts of treasures; new and old items at great prices.
Walk in for a buck or 2 dollars by the car load!
Food vendors are located in the center aisle.
Pocketbooks, household, shoes, food, beauty, clothing, housewares, jewelry etc...!
Beware of counterfit brand names stuff. If it's says Tiffany's & Co. or UGGS it's probably made in China!!!
Large parking lot with plenty of parking.
Great to Walk for Exercise too!
CASH ONLY & ATM NEAR BATHROOM.
BTW...I was born to Haggle!!! -

I used to get all my back-to-school supplies here for a reasonable price as a child. This outdoor summer flea market has been here for decades and was originally larger but Home Depot has cut its size immensely. I'd recommend going early in the morning or every afternoon. Since it's a outdoor flea market where patrons can bargain.. for CASH only. There's a small admission fee of $1.00 or $2.00 which I cannot remember but that's a bargain for what you hope to shop for. They have a huge parking lot. I suggest to bring a shopping cart for your new found treasures as a bag for all the goodies found. Cheap finds comes with junky materials where visible.
Note: Shoppers need to apply and re-apply sun screen SPF 15 or greater as the damage can appear within a day. In addition to sun screen shoppers also need to be well hydrated while browsing aisles and aisles as the intense heat will scorch the human body. -

Alright, this place is pretty good.
The problems I have:
-A lot of the stuff = knockoffs. Many knockoffs of popular brands, so watch out and stick to the malls/department stores/online for that.
-Sometimes (scratch that...most of the time) this place is swarmed with people and it is hard to look around.
The Good Side:
-Price: Everything is very cheap. If you need certain things for cheap price such as blank DVD-Rs, a wallet, a belt or what not, this is the place to go.
-Lots of mixtapes/music/CDs. If you're into rap music or any type of international music...they will have it. I have picked up Italian music, Carribean music and Latin music. Still though, you have to watch out for bootlegs.
-Random stuff: Lots of interesting things around here. I am into different cultures and religions (probably cause I grew up in Queens, the MECCA of diversity). I have picked up African masks and Hindu religious icons.
-Ethnic food: I like picking up some Colombian food and especially, the Halal food.
Overall, a good experience for a day. -

Okay. I am giving this a not so great review only because I live right near it.
I too have been going here for years. You can get great deals, given you don't mind little old Asian women coming up to you asking in her Asian accent "You like dirty movie? I have dirty movie!" But you can get good deals if you are willing to look.
The bad aspect of this is, although they have a parking lot, people are too cheap to pay to park and take up all of the street parking, so when I go out on the weekends and I come home, there is never any parking for me! And the garbage! Given they have put up better fences to contain the vast amount of garbage generated by this place, it gets out.
If anyone has ever passed by here after closing you have seen the "war zone". And the people who wait till they get to their cars to combine shopping bags and discard the rest... on the street!!! Or the people that cant park and block your driveway so you cant get out! So boo to them!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Polina S.
The Aqueduct is more than a shopping experience: you'll spend a whole day there, eat there, be entertained there, and probably learn some interesting things. Just be sure to pace yourself!
The sellers are mostly affiliated with stores or have their own businesses. Because of the considerable cost of renting a stall (I checked once) there are almost no people selling their own used things, like you'll find at some other flea markets. This means that a lot of things that are sold there can also be found in stores - but they will be a lot more expensive at the store, and you won't find such a variety anywhere. In effect, this is less a flea market and more a giant open-air mall.
The only unfortunate thing about the place is its location. But a place like this, sprawling and open, couldn't exist in the city, there's simply no space for it. -

Great bargains. Parking is plentiful and cheap, it's only $2. Bring a shopping cart and bargain with everyone. I got all the cold medicine I need for the winter here, from the closeout guy. Many times more than one vendor has the same thing at different prices. Look around and then buy.

Lots of vendors, that's true. Easy and cheap parking - $2 and good fast food are the only pluses. Most of the stuff you can find in there are immitations of brand clothing, shoes and perfumes. Some second hand watches and discout kitchenware. Old cleaning supplies and avon samplers.... Most of the stuff though you can get cheaper in a 99c store. Anotherwords - lots of cheap crap. If you like this kind of shopping - it is perfect for you! I was very dissapointed
