I love this family-owned place.   It always reminds me of one of those cheesy, roadside tourist traps, that are a disappearing but endearing part of Americana.  It is the antithesis of a big slick commercial operation.

Aqua Zoo is basically set up like a fish/pet store, with rows of fish tanks.  The employee can walk with you around the place and feed the fish that you want to see fed.   I swear, I could do this everyday.  It's great for people like me who are not interested in taking care of large tanks at home.

There is also a small shark in a shallow, waist/chest high tank, so you're very close to it, and an alligator behind glass that you can pay to see eat a mouse.   AWESOME.

Easy to navigate to since it was about 1 mile of the I-81 exit.  The owner was very friendly and personable. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 1 four-year-old boy.  We enjoyed our visit to the AquaZoo.

Please take into consideration that this is not a large aquarium.  It is a small, personally owned business with tanks with some unique fish from all over the world.  There is a sign outside the building that says not to judge this book buy its cover.  This saying is accurate!!  There is more to this place than meets the eye.  Just about every exhibit has detailed information regarding the aquatic animal.  Take the time to read them.  We circled the tanks many times to check out the displays.

If you are in the area of the AquaZoo, stop by!  Give it a chance and support a local business.
