Review from Jeff P.
Los Angeles, CA
My girlfriend and myself went on the sunset kayak a couple weeks ago when back home in New Jersey. It was one of the best experiences of our time spent in Cape May this year and one that I think we'll partake in every summer when we visit.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the wetlands that we were kayaking through. He knew about the vegetation, the animals, and the history of Cape May and Wildwood. The tour lasted around three hours, including time for instruction, making it definitely worth the money. The kayaking was even easier to do then we expected, yes we were a little sore the next day, but people who think they might not be able to to do it because of physical limitations should not be scared, it really was less difficult then we thought it would be.
They even had waterproof casings for us to put a digital camera in. We also brought a disposable waterproof camera and got some great shots of the sunset and wildlife. -

Went on the sunset cruise and really enjoyed it. It started off in the commercial port near the Lobster House and lots of condos and fishing boats. Before long, we were in the salt marsh with tons of birds and even an otter! The paddle was a bit over two hours and was quite easy. Andrew was the guide and he did a good job! He is a naturalist and was quite knowledgeable about the birds (including their different sounds), plant life, and general ecology of the water system. As a Cape May local, he had an interesting perspective on the community as well.
The weather was perfect, enhancing our paddle. This is a great thing to do while on a Cape May trip. Highly recommend it! -
Review from Taylor O.
We did a sunset Kayak trip in the salt marsh with knowledgeable and affable Jeff, a high school biology teacher and summer kayak naturalist and his volunteer sidekick Andrew. The kayaks were easy to handle and smooth moving around the bay as we floated through the grassy marsh and viewed the countless birds at sunset. The water glistening with reflections of a lightblue to light orange gradient.
The Laughing Gulls were numerous and loud; you could use their noise as a laughtrack to a sitcom. A cool experience to see the area in a totally different way!
