15 reviews for Applebee's
3 1/2 Stars.
To paraphrase mh's review... This is by no means specific to the Applebee's in Stockton, but really applies to all Applebee's. I have never had a meal here that 'HAS' made me sick.
I view Applebee's as an 'upscale' Dennys. Better food, better atmosphere.
They are open on Fridays and Saturdays till 1 a.m. and the rest of the week till 12 midnight, so when you need a bite to eat late night or after the movies, you can count on Applebees.
I have enjoyed their salads, especially the Oriental Chicken Salad and the Riblets during my prior visits...
They also have some great non-alcoholic drinks including flavored lemonades.
True, not fine dining but a good, consistent place for decent food...
Applebee's is a pretty good place. Great for family no doubt. But me being the fan of everyone's appetizers, they got some good appetizers. I would recommend coming here but make sure you come on an empty stomach. Worse mistake I made one of the times coming here.
I liked eating here, up until the last time we were there. The food was decent, but the waitress was a complete idiot! I understand if you hate your job because people can sometimes be a pain, but when you're ill-treating customers who are pleasant and are trying to have a good time, you really should take that stick out of your behind.
She gave us our bill before we were even halfway done with our meal (and it was only 8:30pm, not anywhere near closing time). Just slapped it on the table while I was chewing on a big piece of steak.
We asked for our drinks to be re-filled, which she did 30 minutes later and the meal was salty as hell. so I suffered and she was nowhere to be found so that I could ask again for a refill.
This incident just left a bad memory in my mind, and I haven't been back since. It's a shame, since I've been eating here on many occasions. Maybe if they get people who actually understand what being courteous means, you don't have to treat me like royalty, but at least like a human being. It sucks to see when your waiter/waitress is smiling and being extremely friendly to the table next to you, and she gives you the cold shoulder.
I don't frequent Applebee's alot, but sometimes get a craving for their Oriental Chicken salad.
I was here after Sunday service with my parents. Dad ordered the Chicken Fajitas and mom ordered the Santa Fe Chicken salad and we were all set.
Unfortunately, our waitress on the way out of the kitchen clipped one of the walls in the bar area and there went my mom's salad all over the floor with a big bang.
She apologized profusely and about 10 minutes later brought out another salad for my mom.
Hey! Accidents happen!
The replacement salad looked a hot mess and there were some things missing but my mom ate it because she was hungry and was tired of waiting. She said she didn't know what she got but that was not the Santa Fe Chicken salad.
Although the manager did come by to apologize again, I was a bit surprised they didn't comp the salad or at least offer a free dessert.
Needless to say, I'm cool with my Oriental Chicken salad fix.
I've never had a bad time at Applebee's. I ordered the weight watchers steak and portabella dish with garlic mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. The steamed broccoli that came with it was overdone. I like my steamed veggies to have a little bite to them. These were way squishy and gross. The potatoes never have enough garlic for me. Went with my family in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday. The manager came made sure to come by and tell us if we needed anything flag him down and enjoy our visit. I enjoy Applebee's. I'll go again an again.
WHEN I ONCE WENT THERE I GOT A RAW CORN DOG... GROSS!
THEY HAVE THE WORST FOOD IN THE WORLD!!!!!
Your basic applebee's - if all else fails and Denny's isnt an option. I'd go here. The bartender did mix up a mean drink for me. Sooo that was good. Other than that... food is well... pretty basic!
crappy chain restaurant abound in stockton. this one is full of clutter and screaming children.
if it weren't for the garlic fries (with a totally reasonable amount of grease) and the perfect margarita (and we are talking perfect), i would outright refuse to go here.
unless you were paying.
After two visits, I have concluded that this place is okay: 3.5 stars. Their salads are pretty generous and the weight watcher menu items at the end are slightly higher priced, but broken down for caloric counts. The french fries run on the bland, starchy side. Currently they're promoting multiple varieties of lemonade (my friend said that the mango lemonade was satisfactory, and I know they're offering strawberry too). The chicken alfredo bowl isn't too dry, and their burgers are pretty average, so the last time I went, I decided to switch it up by trying the quesadilla burger, which is basically a burger patty and some lettuce and grilled onions sandwiched in toasted quesadilla slices. You can see and taste the greasiness, but it's surprisingly good.
They've got a wide variety to choose from including a special section devoted to Weight Watchers. (thumbs up.) The service is prompt and the food is above average... usually.
This is by no means specific to the Applebee's in Stockton, but really applies to all Applebee's. I have never had a meal here that hasn't made me sick. This restaurant is the epitome of awful. I have a friend who works here who informed me that they microwave almost everything they serve here. It all comes prepackaged and frozen. Lovely. I refuse to eat here ever again.
woohoo as good as it gets! both my wife and I have never had a problem with applebees. during spring and most of summer we go out for lunch and sit outside relax and enjoy a meal. helpful hint...if the manager does not come to your table before you leave you get $10 off your next meal so its like family fun trying to stay under the radar...also loaded potatos yuum
The to-go service here has taken way too long the last two times i've tried it. 45 minutes to make a chicken wrap and fries? give me a break. Plus i hear that most of the stuff is nuked. Even if it is, the food is pretty good, a little better then average. Plus it's fairly cheap and usually quick and a short wait to get sat. The mixed cocktails are a little expensive, but the beer is priced just right. If they would only turn the sound at the bar so you could hear the games they show it would be ten times better.
Eatin' good in the hood.
I gave Applebee's in Stockton three shots. Each time they struck out. The last straw was when I entered the establishment to enjoy a relaxing meal but was greeted with uncensored Eminem as the atmospheric music of choice by the staff. There were little kids in the next booth and the F bomb was playing casually as if it were as normal as Musak!!!
Like I said, "eatin' good in the 'hood"...only the food wasn't so good.
oh goodness.. i love this place for hwta it is. i'm not trying tomake it into anything more than it is. i especially love their loaded mashed potatoes! =]
