100 bucks.
1 class a week for a year.
They teach idiots like me how to work a MacBook Pro or whatever Apple technicologicalistical who ha you may have. Apple is a genius. I'm so into Nerds right now. It's all about mental stimulation. That get's me going. Frick the chefs, they just get you fat.
Anyway,
That comes out to less than 2 bucks a class.
Seriously that's a great fckin deal.

I've been with my old grampy Powerbook since 2005. He's been so good to me, but his age is beginning to show... he doesn't run the way he used to, and he gets tired easily. Now that I'm in my final semester of school, I thought I'd take advantage of the student special that's been going on. I'm not the most tech-savvy girl, but Conrad at the Kahala Apple Store helped me pick out a new laptop friend that is PERFECT for what I need. He was patient and friendly, and explained things so that I could digest and absorb what he said. I also signed up for the one on one classes so that I can learn to use my new laptop in the best way possible. STOKED!

While I would like to copy Anjelika K's review - just about verbatim - I will not.  I went into the Kahala store because I was in the neighborhood and need a few accessories.  They didn't have what I needed for my MacBook, but had the ipod wire I grabbed that.  All the multi-colored t-shirts peeps were all busy so instead of raising my hand for help in the middle of the store, I headed towards the person who was ringing another person up.  When it came to my turn, the royal blue t-shirt guy grunted and muttered.  In addition, he had the audacity to talk back.

OK, I understand that maybe it's not in your job description to ring up my purchase if you're a techie and that's fine with me, but do you have to be a jacka$$?  Could you not have said, "Let me get someone to ring you up"?  He reluctantly took my credit card and no "thank you", no nothing.  I was so ticked I found myself returning my purchase and speaking to another multi-colored t-shirt person and the manager.

Truth be told, the manager tried to defend his rude techie by attempting to explain the whole "color code t-shirt" deal - which by the way, I already understand.  At the same time, he apologized for his employee's behavior and said that he would speak to him about it.

Their two stars are because 1) they're in my hood and 2) their manager's customer service.  I don't know if it made a difference or if he even spoke to the techie, but I know for sure that I will not step foot in there ever again.

"Why I Rated The Apple Store- KAHALA a 1 star"

by anjelika "mango is sweeter" j.

Usually, when I'm about to purchase something, I take the item up to the cash register.  Am I wrong to do this?  Apparently that's a big friggin' no-no here.  Yup, I got chewed out by a "techie", "for future reference, you need to ask one of the people on the floor to ring you up."  OK, hot poo!  I guess I know bettah now.  Cheesh!  I was actually standing BEHIND someone being rung up when "techie" motioned to me like he was gonna help me.  So, it was YOU, hot poo that wanted to help me.  I was fine waiting my turn at the register.  Oh, wait, but that's not how you roll at da Apple store.  My bad.

So, this was my issue today.  But I honestly have to say that this hot poo attitude I get EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I come here was the numero uno reason why I refused to purchase a mac... another mac.

I was here a few months ago to ask for assistance with an older mac I got and I got a million different answers to my ONE question along with the hot poo attitude.  I'm sick of this place.  It gives me a migrane.  I'm tired of their HIGHER THAN THOU attitudes.   The Ala Moana location is GREAT!  They're extremely helpful and ready to ring you up whenever!

So, kahala, why don't you make your color coded shirts useful and post a big sign at the register that says who's allowed to talk to me, who's allowed to ring me up, and who's allowed to give me attitude.

LAME.

It's so nice to have an Apple Store at Kahala Mall, which is (a) indoors (and, therefore, air-conditioned and not slippery-when-rainy) and (b) so much less congested than Ala Moana.

The Kahala Apple Store staff are really friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and their head store manager is really enthusiastic -- she actually cried at the grand opening, which seemed a little unusual at first, but I've seen her working at other times, and I guess that's just how much she cares about her work. (Go figure, right?)

A great business for Mac lovers to have on our side of town!

I was so excited to hear the Apple store was opening in Kahala Mall. I really enjoy going in to look at products, but the Ala Moana store was always too crowded and busy. The Kahala Mall location is a lot more laid back and relaxed and you can look at things leisurely.

The staff is friendly and always ready and willing to help. I just wish I could afford to buy everything I want!

Went to Ala Moana first and that store was packed, so decided to go a little closer to home and visit the Kahala store.  I was really impressed with the friendliness of the workers.  It seems like all of them really liked their jobs and wanted to help you.  Maybe they make commission?  I don't know, all I know is that I was there for my friends and I ended up buying something.  I was even impressed that they help you right then and there and can email you the reciept if you use a card.  If I need anything else from Apple I'll be coming to the Kahala store.
