nice store, friendly staff

But the 2 times I went to get my shuffle warrantied and the one time for my iMac, the wait at the geek counter was quite LONG.

when they're busy (often) some glitch always seems to make any transaction or customer service take longer than you think it should.

Highest prices on accesories and not really a good selection, for an apple store - Amazon or others is a better way to go

Even those this article is a joke (I'm pretty sure.....) it still sums up how I feel about the Apple Store pretty damn well.

"Apple Store to Begin
Charging Entrance Fee
By Brian Briggs

Cupertino, CA - If you want to see the iPhone at an Apple store, be sure to bring some cash. Large crowds flocking to see the iPhone and next generation iPods have forced Apple to begin charging a $5 entrance fee for Apple stores.  Many analysts anticipated the move, and expect a positive response from customers.

"Part of the move was to limit crowds to keep the stores safe, but also we wanted to keep the right kind of people in the stores," said vice president of retail outlets, Vince Sciopiano.  "By 'right kind of people' I mean true Apple customers with money, willing to pay just to look at our newest wares."

While Apple Geniuses patrol inside the store, Apple "Muscleheads" will guard the window displays and entrances.

For the $5 fee, customers will get an Apple button which will allow them entrance into the store and is used to track the customer's movements.  Sciopiano noted that the $5 fee could be applied to purchases on that visit

Customer reaction at a pilot project at the Apple Store in Canoga Park, California was positive.  Alexander Hu, an avid Mac user, said, "I don't mind paying $5 to get into the store, if it keeps out the iPhone gawkers and Windows lusers who want to drool over the new Macs."

Not everyone was pleased though.  Kyle Martin said, "Five dollars to just walk into the store?  It's like they want to be elite snobs or something."

When told of the criticism, Sciopiano said, "That's exactly the case."
Apple shares were up on the news."

And then there was the iPhone...

I am a consumer tool; plain and simple.  How could I justify dropping 650 dollars on a cell phone.  Pardon me while I go flog myself for my inability to abstain from purchasing another unnecessary electronic toy.

Okay, enough self hating.  It is sleek, aesthetic, and actually works quite well.  I will not go on about the phone, because eight million blogs have covered it along with every media outlet in the universe.

As far as the Apple Store itself, it looks semi-unfinished.  There are plenty of people working and amazingly I had to wait about 1 minute before purchasing the iPhone.  And this is the day after the release!

Anyhow, skip the apple store for accessories or computer parts.  Never buy memory here; you can get it for a third of the price through multiple resellers.

Hurry, they still have 4 and 8 GB iPhones available.  Happy shopping =).

It is called ProCare, and for $100 a year you can get tutored by the Apple Creatives at any MAC store, once a week on anything you want (That has to do with your MAC product). You can get help with Garageband, backups, iWeb, email, cleanup, iTunes, your new iPod or just simply earn about your new MAC product from the very basics.  I am getting help building my website on iWeb for example.

Not only is this a great program for it's price and benefits, but a wonderful way to meet new people, network, and potentially grow your business.  For example, I have learned about new Boulder networking clubs or creative and artistic events that I didn't know about before from my tutors.

ProCare keeps you up-to-date with your MAC product, so you can get the most out of all the amazing products!

* Star one is for being a MAC store in general
** Our stupid PC star number two is for offering this awesome tutoring service at an extremely affordable price
*** Come on down star number three... Star three is for a fun, creative and supportive environment that does not make you feel stupid for asking any question
**** Hello star four, you are here because the creatives are nice, knowledgeable and quarky (that's a good thing!)
***** And last but not least, our star five, for free and easy parking nearby
