Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for this one.  I needed to have some stuff hauled from a storage container into my garage.  The guys came on time, were professional but not stuffy, and fast!  I would recommend them highly.

Firstly, please be aware that Minor Moving and Apple Moving are apparently one company now.  It sounded as though Minor bought Apple a couple of years ago, but they still run operations under the two separate business names.  (Anyone may feel free to correct me if I have any of those details wrong...)

The movers that came out were great.  They showed up within 15 minutes of when they were supposed to and had everything loaded, moved, and unloaded in under 3 hours.  They were fast, friendly, and personable.  Nothing stolen, nothing broken, and I think they may have even moved a few things that they didn't charge us for.  On the basis of them alone, I'd give them 5 stars.

But... they lose a star because of a mistake by their main office.  When I made my appointment, I told them that we'd be packing and moving a lot of the smaller stuff (books, food, clothes, etc.) ourselves, but that there would definitely be some amount of packing for the movers to do.  Well, somehow that didn't make its way onto the final instructions/order, so our movers weren't sent with any boxes or other packing materials.  So boo on that.

A friend joked about her movers who showed up three hours late and stole some of her things. Needless to say, I wanted my first time with movers to be a fairly painless one.

After my yelp desperate plea for affordable, non skeezy movers, Apple moving quickly became the most recommended choice.

Thank you thank you yelpers! You didn't dissapoint!

They were mostly on time ( the 30 min lateness ended up working out to our favor) funny, charming guys who commiserated with us, listened to us vent about our new complex ,and carried a huge chair on their heads.

We had a sofa that was pretty much unmovable ( it was wedged into the living room and barely fit out the door) --the movers picked it up and moved it out like it was nothing.

I highly, highly recommend these movers. 100 bucks an hour, two hours minimum, no extra charges.

Brava, Apple!

I've used Apple moving twice for 3rd story apartment moves and both times they were inexpensive, professional, careful and hard working.   I wouldn't dream of using other movers after such good service from Apple.
