Apollo Burger has a special place in my heart. I've grown up on Gyro's, Pastrami Burgers, Onion Rings, and their fry sauce for years and years. It's only fair that I write them a review.
Apollo Burger is one of the many Greek family owned burger joints in SLC, it has that feel right when you walk in the door. Apollo has the best char broiled burgers, amazing gyros, and the burger of all burgers the pastrami burger. Hands down the best hamburger joint in town.
If you're looking for home cookin and hot off the grill yummy goodness make sure you give this place a shot!
P.S. Another inside secret. Try the Chili Burger. (not on the menu)
It's charbroiled patty, topped with American cheese then generously topped with homemade yummy meaty chili! YUM! -

Stopped off here after a 4.5 hour drive from WY...maybe it was just because I was starving...or maybe the double cheeseburger is just that good...I think it was because the burger is just that good.
I got a side order of onion rings which were good...very fresh and good amount to boot.
The place seemed very clean and the staff greeted me with a smile...a lost art these days. Why the Burger King across the street is still in business is a mystery to me. -

Wow so much to say about this amazing place I grew up eating at this place ever since I can remember to the one by the fair grounds to the ones by the west valley mall, never in my life do I get a kick out of getting a juicy burger with fry sauce and onion rings to die for!!! Not to metion the ice cream and shakes. Nothing is bad at this place I love it and hope it never goes away, family from out of states come to enjoy a night eating here. Iv only had one bad experience and that wasn't there fault, some new guy that look like he lost his previouse job and got stuck with a (whatever he can get job) had a bad attitude, he didn't cook my burger all the way I returned it and gave me lip, he apoligized got a free meal and we went on with life. Other then that, this place is like eating gold!!!

This was my 1st time in Salt Lake City and my first time at Apollo Burgers. I had a Burger with Bacon and fries and a REAL Strawberry Shake. My Dad had the Salmon Burger. Took a lil while for his Salmon Burger to come up but thats expected because it was fresh. I seen the size of the onion rings and ohh my. ,They looked delicious. I must say Salt Lake City and Apollo Burgers was good to me. And when im back in Salt Lake im hoping to head back to Apollo Burgers at the end of the month.
My Dads Salad looked fresh and crisp and not wilted he asked for more Bleu Cheese dressing and they gave him a huge cup and didnt even charge him extra. -

No rice!
Ok, this is the second time now in a couple of months ...
What's up Apollo Burger? I'm trying to eat right, limit my intake of fat, reduce the carbs, and all you can tell me is that you have no rice!
Fries or onion rings? Sorry, but they aren't a universal side dish that can be served with anything and everything. On a culinary level, they are not really the right accompaniment for chicken Souvlaki. Too greasy.
But why is there no rice?
It's 11:30 and right before the lunchtime rush, so you should have prepared all your foodstuffs hours ago. Maaay-beee ... you didn't MAKE any rice?
The least you could do is tell me the next time I make my order that indeed, "We have no rice," before I have to wait around until my order is almost ready, only to be summoned to the counter and told that "sorry Sir, we have no rice."
Perhaps, you could do us both a favor and take rice completely off the menu ... if you never have any to sell (along with the other seldom-ordered items that you are too cheap or lazy to make).
Apollo BURGER. We ain't got no stinkin' rice. -

Anyone familiar with my reviews knows I only evaluate the bacon cheeseburgers and fries of the burger joints I frequent. That's because it is the best kind of hamburger you can eat. Period.
Honestly, the BCburger combo meal at Apollo is as good as you can find anywhere in the state. It's one of those meals that is so decadent and flavorful, that you always feel a bit guilty after eating it. But the truth is, most of the things worth living for are guilty pleasures, so I believe in indulging in such things as frequently as is practical.
So when I'm in that sort of mood, Apollo does me right.Listed in: Best Bacon Cheeseburger and…

Everytime I come to SLC...I come here. What can be better than a really good char broiled burger topped with pastrami.
Fries are golden crispy and the fry sauce is fantastic.
Definitely great...but not good for you. -

I love you, mushroom swiss burger with fries.
I don't like that sluggish feeling I get after eating you, but ultimately I believe that it is worth it. -

An average tasting burger, nothing to really brag about.I asked for yellow peppers to eat with my burger(maybe an L.A. thing)and they gave me some sort of italian peppers you get in a deli?
