It's a decent gym with mostly everything you need, but they had explicit music playing talking about sex and using the f word, n word, p word, etc. The music was not family friendly, to say the least.

Very rude staff. It's been 3 times the same guy (cash) is there and he is very unprofessional. He was talking about how white people are what's wrong with the world the very first day I see him. I see why this gym has one of the worst ratings of all anytime fitness gyms. Since making this review this gym locked me out due to my 1 star Google review. I have never heard of such a thing. Are we allowed to be locked out of a gym for a Google review? I left a review reporting how a trainer is always rude every time I go there. He always has ear buds in, he says what's up man, stares at me, acts like he is going to run over me if I don't move out of his way, etc like he has a chip on his shoulder. Then suddenly I found out that I'm locked out of the gym for simply telling how I felt about that particular gym in la porte, Texas. I'm a little bit confused. I'd this allowed by corporate? Can you please investigate? Thank you.

This USED to be the best gym ever. I resigned my membership today. I pre-paid to train with Kris Cash. Now Ted is our trainer and he is terrible! He doesn't listen to his clients, his workouts are boring and old school. He has a lackluster personality, and has killed the vibe in the gym. We have had a great training group of 6-8 for over a year, now he won't allow that many, so there are only 2 left. It's bad business to run off people. It's bad business to tell people they can't work out - isn't that what this about - getting people to get healthy? Ever since Ted took over the training from Kris Cash, I question the mission statement of the gym. I told Ted I didn't want any more weight on the leg press. He added 2 plates and told me it was just 12 pounds when it was actually 2 25 pound plates. Ted isn't willing to modify any exercise, his solution is to sit out, or just go ahead and leave early - that's what is happening. BAD BUSINESS MOVE - whomever is in charge.

Overall it is what it is. A mostly unattended gym that you can get your work out on at.
I have been a member of anytime for a couple years now, and I have been to these gyms in Chicago, Dallas, Paris (TX), Hot Springs, Little Rock, Houston and others. This one is a little smaller than most of the places I have been.
It is clean, all the machines work, people are friendly enough- not pay you on the behind friendly- but I got a nod from a couple people.
I'm here on a Friday evening just about at the tail end of rush hour and it is not crowded.
I am fond of this national gym because o can just get in the door with my fob and nobody jacks with me.
Not all of them are state of the art, but like Starbucks- they are all mostly the same.
So drop the cheeseburger and hit the gym!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amanda M.Houston, TX156637May 12, 2016
Great gym, especially if you know the area.
So I am already a member, but recently found out my insurance covers gym membership. I was nervous approaching management about this, but was shocked when I was met with an enthusiastic SURE! when I asked. The manager was also phenomenal getting my elderly father signed up as well.
The place is clean and well maintained, with an upscale ma and pop feel to it.
I especially like that you can only get in non business hours with a key fob making me an under 5 foot tall female feel secure those days I have to come in at 5-6 AM by myself.
I was given an opportunity this week to work with a trainer and she was really good.
It's also the best gym in the immediate area that I've found and the most maintained. I am very happy to be with this gym and the staff is wonderful!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tony S.Arlington, TX17492297Dec 17, 2016
One of the nicer Anytime I have visited.
Larger than some, with a variety of work out machines and aerobic machines.
Workout machines and cardio machines seem to be well maintained and clean.
Shower areas were also repair roomy w/ a nice bench to sit your belongings.
Overall, good place to work out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Raymond B.Mount Hope, KS187Jun 10, 2018
Very friendly staff. I love the small gym atmosphere while there is everything there you will ever need. My favorite gym and I will always be a member. I travel for work and have been able to use their other locations as well.

I like this place better than other gyms, everyone is very friendly, it's not too loud and the staff is very helpful. Also there aren't trainers asking me every week to book them for sessions but there are trainers there who will occasionally give tips and are available for sessions including morning groups

On the smaller side of the AF gyms that I've been to. But I'd have to say that its not lacking anything. They have plenty of elliptical machines, 4-5 if I can remember, good for this size of gym. As well as 4 treadmills, a cruiser bike, and a regular position bike.
The weight equipment is sufficient to get a good lifting session in. Even better if your familiar with multiple exercises. 3 adjustable benches for flat and incline, 1 decline, complete set of dumbbells.
Great to go on the weekends if your so inclined, however when they get busy it could be a pain to move around in. Particularly for your ab workouts, or walking lunges. Again, if your creative with the available space and weights at your disposal, you should get a workout in that hits most, if not all, the muscle areas you may want.
I don't tan, so I my only comment is they have a tanning room.
The showers are clean.
Have a good workout!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Celest M.Pasadena, TX7172Mar 16, 2019
