Three-and-a-half stars? Are you serious, Yelp? You guys are the reason Democracy doesn't work. Here you have a prime candidate for a five-star review and the Yelp electorate hands the five-star mantle to who? Scott's Pizza Tour? Savino's Quality Pasta? Brancaccio's? I'm not saying they don't deserve the praise (here I note that they are all excellent, as well as conspicuously Italian), but what I am saying is that none of them will shoot you a blazing hot, spectacular tuna melt and creamed spinach at 4am. Your girlfriend won't even do that! (Unless she works at Anytime, but what are the odds?)

But the convenience of Anytime ("Dude, haha, they deliver when I'm fuckin' wasteeeed!") is a bit oversold. This is great food even when you're not out late. It's the kind of slow-your-pulse, stop-your-heart cooking that I miss from down south. Even their hummus bears a touch of southern excess. (Boiled eggs sliced and dropped on top of picked eggplants on top of a lava pool of hummus with giant, fresh, steaming pitas with a side of banana peppers and mini pickles? For ten dollars? Shiiit.) They also deliver cigarettes, and you get an idea of how well they know their customers if you look at what brands they stock. It's like they did a survey of butts on the floor at Union Pool.

Without doing the journalistic thing and confirming what I'm about to say (hooray for Yelp), I'm guessing that a lot of the negative reviews for Anytime are for Anytime's tendency to mix up orders. This happens. However, you should overlook such things because their customer service wing has always been quick to make the situation right. (I once got forty dollars worth of food comped because of a botched order.) Besides, it's hard to hold anything against them since, Dude, haha, they deliver when I'm fuckin' wasteeeed! And they have. Many times.

Don't forget to hook up their deliverymen. During the Great Blizzard of '11, they still delivered. That alone deserves five stars.

anytime my ass.   I was dying for a ceasar salad last night, looked them up on Yelp, so that they were supposed to be open on Friday night till' 5am. Well, it was only 11.45pm.   Walked there in the cold...Guess what?  They were closed.

    Yuck.

I ordered from here a couple of months ago and I didn't think about writing a review about it until now. I got the avocado and gruyere cheese sandwich with a side of tater-tots. The tots were fine but the sandwich was extremely tasteless. It was like I was taking bites out of a big flavorless pillow.

The ability to order at virtually any hour is great as well as being able to order cigarettes, though I don't smoke so that wouldn't change my opinion of the place at all. If I do order from here again, it surely won't be that sandwich again because just thinking about that makes my mouth dry out completely.

There were actual FINGERPRINTS embedded into my cheesecake. I could see the circular fingerprint lines. The food is shitty and overpriced. I don't think anything else needs to be said.

$41 for two soggy burgers and a side of mac & cheese. Are these things grass-fed organic?
    _______________________

You are running a risk if your first experience with a restaurant is delivery. There is no chance for redaction. If you don't like the food or something is messed up the turnaround time for replacement is prohibitive.

    I knew that going in.

The process was simple enough - I ordered online and received a follow up call asking for cross streets (I didn't see that as an option on the online form).

Delivery time was adequate (30-40 min), probably a little faster than the quoted arrival time.

But at the end of the day, $41 (inc tax & 20% tip) for two soggy burgers and a side of mac & cheese seems pretty steep. If I'd gone to Mother's on Graham St. I would have got a similar meal AND four draft beers for the same price. And their burgers are better.

I love my best friend for many reasons, but the primary reason why our friendship has lasted 10+ years (even through living under the regime of an insane dictator-friend), is because she understands that I am completely ruled by my stomach.  Whenever I visit her in NYC, she greets me with food from Anytime.

This may seem like a small thing, as it's just burgers and fries, right?  However...you need to understand that by the time I reach her apartment, I have been sitting on a cramped bus for at least 4.5 hours.  I then need to bully a rude cabbie to take me across the city into Brooklyn.  Then climb a flight of stairs (what's with the lack of elevators?!) to her apartment.  By the time I arrive, I feel like I've trekked across the Sahara on the back of a cranky camel.  Nourishment is key, before we can begin the all night gossip sessions.

The burgers from Anytime are amazing.  Thick and juicy, and cooked to medium-rare perfection (you need to specify the med-rare!).  The bun is beautifully toasted, and the lettuce, tomato and onions are thoughtfully wrapped separately to keep all the elements from getting limp and soggy.  The fries are marvelously crinkle-cut and deliciously crispy.  I normally don't even like crinkle-cut fries (I'm a McD's fries girl), but I can inhale a box of these fries without pausing for breath.

My only complaint with Anytime is that it does take forever to get the food.  Usually, as soon as I arrive at Madison Square Garden, I will text my order to my best friend, who will then place the order with Anytime.  It will take anywhere from 30 - 40 minutes for me to arrive at her apartment...and then once I arrive, there is usually another 10 - 15 minute wait before the food will arrive.  It's midnight, and it takes an hour to get the food - I can only imagine how long it would take during the dinner rush.

I think I'm being more than generous by giving Anytime 3 stars. Now you should know I'm only judging the delivery.  I've never eaten in or been to their happy hour which is so cheap I really should pop in any ol' time.

But I do have some qualms and this is usually a last choice option for me. Here's why:

    Pro's:
    1. Tater Tots.
    2. Late night delivery.
    3. They deliver beer and cig's. Cool and all...but I don't smoke.

    Con's:
    1. Delivery takes so long it's morning before you get your food.
    2. Hot food is cold, cold food is hot.
    3. Meh. The food is meh. Really, really meh.

I rather just walk to the bodega and get a sandwich (and a beer).
When I'm trapped behind the bar at work and no one else will deliver anymore, Anytime lives up to their name and is still delivering. I'm just not so excited about it.

Does anyone remember when you could actually get food here any time, and it was just a to-go joint?

I have many fond memories of 8AM tuna cheddar melts and housing tater tots after a very long night, and of having cigarettes and beer delivered at 5AM.

More recently, I've discovered the BBQ pork sandwich. It is so 'effing good that I engage in a lot of secret eating behind Titz's back. And now it's on special!? For two dollars more you get an appetizer or dessert and a soda.   ::drooling::

Honestly, I've had nothing but good times here, but I haven't gone in when it's been super crowded, or really late at night, so maybe I've missed out on all the bad shit.  Also I've never ordered from them.  I guess I've just gotten a few normal dinners here.

They've got a lot of really good vegetarian options.  Their 4 cheese grilled cheese is actually made with GARLIC BREAD!  As if they could make a grilled cheese any less nutritious.  Sooooo delicious, though.  Their goat cheese penne is allright, but a little on the bland side.  Their mushroom and potato leek soups are LARGE servings, and pretty dang good, for only about $4 each (also served with yummy garlic bread).  I've also been told their veggie/goat cheese sandwich is really tasty, but I prefer to order things with meat.

That said, though, I can't remember what I've ordered there that has had meat in it.  Probably a chicken/avocado sandwich.  I'm sure it was fine, but obviously nothing special.  I've never had anything there that I've been really disappointed with, but then again, nothing stellar, either.  Except for the $1 well drinks and PBRs.  Those kick ass!

What's this about mean waitstaff?  The waitress I've had the last 3 times I've been there is AWESOME, and I have a huge girlcrush on her.

I'd recommend going to this place alone or with friends if you want an easy meal with a good selection on the menu and some cheap drinks.  It's not too expensive, either.  I'd say it's pretty solid, as a restaurant, but I can't vouch for its late-night or delivery service.

I'll give them three stars for having the convenience of delivering cigarettes and beer. Eh, who am I kidding? I don't live in Williamsburg, nor would I ever want to order the above with my meal, so two stars it is.

This is a good meeting spot since it's close to the train and the food is cheap. Hipsterville to the max! Food being cheap in NYC usually does not correlate well with flavor and satisfaction of the food. I will say their hummus and fries are mediocre.

Just for the record, PBR is disgusting. The servers/bartenders here are nice.

    Rock on, Anytime.

Anytime has answered my late night hunger prayers. They make some bangin' food, ya'll. I highly recommend them.

I've never gone to eat there. I don't even know if I've walked past them before. What I do know is they are my no-fail delivery spot when the belly is hungry and requiring assistance. Things to give a go at Anytime (in "Most Favorite" order) are:

    1. All Natural Grilled Half Chicken
    2. Mashed Potatoes
    3. Creamed Spinach
    4. Cuban Pressed Sandwich
    5. Mac & Cheese
    6. ANY of their Burgers
    7. Chicken Noodle Soup

Delivery time is great. Staff have always been courteous, as well as delivery boys which is SO important. There are not enough nice delivery people nowadays.

Anytime, I'm a little in love with you. I dream of your mashed potatoes, spinach, and half chicken....ah...bliss. You can stop by house any day. Fo' sho'. And don't even get me started on the whole late night thing--we're meant to be.

Williamsburg probably has more than its share of late night dining options, essentially places to get your sober on! You could head to Kellogg's (Metropolitan and Grand) for some horrible service, bad lightining, nasty bathrooms and yucky food, or you could head to Anytime!

While the menu is quite limited (it's basically a hamburger and sandwich joint), what they do cook is actually really good; my disclaimer is that I've mostly gone here after partying in the area, 3 or so in the morning, somewhat buzzed and quite hungry, but even drunk and hungry, my taste buds work quite well.

Although I have had better hamburgers around the city, Anytime's are pretty good, large with lots of exorbitant toppings to round out your belly, tons of fries and a nice green salad with balsamic vinaigrette (just so you don't feel so chubby and oily).

If you do go in the late twilight, you'll probably find that the crowd is dwindling, and the place is actually really low-key and quiet, a nice way to end the evening. The staff has always been polite and courteous, and the last time I was there, I had a very friendly, and cute waitress... too bad I'm not into girls, otherwise, this place may have received 5 stars.

Anytime saved my life. I missed them when they were closed for awhile not long ago -- or had shorter delivery hours -- but I ordered dinner in tonight and was thrilled that they're back on the bus.

The food is simple, comfort food -- at least what I've ordered -- and you can eat a balanced meal for less than $20.

Tonight I ordered the potato, leek, and onion soup, which was hearty and warm -- perfect for this chilly day. The four cheese toast was a little cheesy for me this go 'round, but Anytime makes a mean grilled cheese. The French fries are well done, and everything comes with a salad. Wash it all down with a Snapple.

For late-night food or emergency delivery triggered by laziness -- what, I couldn't make a grilled cheese myself? -- Anytime is perfect. Glad they're back!

I've now been to Anytime 4 times or so, and every time has been fantastic.  The first three were primarily for their happy hour specials which include $1 well drinks and of course, $1 PBR's.  (note: PBR's are always 1 buck at Anytime)

This most recent time, I went for dinner, and it was great!  We got a nice, tinny little table by the window and ate some good food.  I had the Pear Pecan Salad with Chx for $8.50, and my GF had Lasagna.  Both were tasty.

update 8/26:  we ordered mozzarella sticks, they came cold, so we sent them back and without ease, were granted amazing cheesily hot mozzarella sticks within minutes. anytime rocks.  great service, even for semi-drunks at 3am.

Only gripe is the tables were super cramped down by the window...when I got up I felt like my pants were dipping in the Ketchup of the guy next to me.

How I didn't know about this place a few weeks ago when I REALLY needed it is beyond me!

I got the hummus plate entree & tots, the roommate got the burger and creamed spinach & wings.  The portions for me where huge, thank god! When I spend that kind of money on delivery, I expect to eat leftovers.  The tots came in a box with a fork. It kind of made me feel like tater tot royalty.  I ate all the tots first, because let's be honest: they are not as good the next day.  Lunch time rolled around today, and I was finally able to dig into the hummus plate.  It's delicious!! And it's huge.  I don't think I'm going to be able to eat the whole thing today.  The roommate gobbled down his burger after polishing off his wings.  He said the wings were meh and he would have like blue cheese or ranch with it.

Delivery took about 45 minutes, which to me is not the end of the world, because  THEY ARE MAKING YOUR FOOD AND BRINGING IT TO YOUR DOOR!!  Didn't order beer, but I probably will next time.

So many people hate Anytime.  It mystifies me.  Does Anytime just like me better?  Do I just not care that delivery's semi-slow?  Am I inured to misnomers, because, ANYTIME, you do not deliver just any old time?

Anyway I really like their food.  Delivery only.  We get it a lot.

There is no reason to eat here unless you are drunk, trying to get drunk, or drank so much that you're hungover.

    Situation #1:  you're drunk.
It's probably really late at night and there is no food anywhere.  call anytime and they'll deliver you a burger or chicken sandwich (but will take FOREVER)!

Situation #2: you're trying to get drunk
During the week they have a mean happy hour where you can have well drinks and beers for $1 or so.

    Situation #3: you're hungover
Don't dare move.  just call this place for some morning after grease.

Hey Yelp, I know we haven't talked for a while but I felt compelled to write. We took a chance on Anytime for two reasons: 1) Hang over. 2) It's a new year.

This place seems alright. We got delivery and the packaging was like getting a space delivery. It did take a bit longer than I would have liked, but honestly who am I to complain? I couldn't even be bothered to leave my house for food.

We got burgers. The meat was really good, quality stuff. They didn't ask how I wanted it, but it was like they knew. Oh, and the fries were crinkly like I like them. At first I was skeptical about the way they separated the toppings, but then it all made sense. They should really add a pickle to the mix. Please?

Oh, and they are really friendly. I called up and the lady thanked me for giving them a try. I like to be thanked.

All things considered, I was pretty happy with everything.

Our Go To Delivery in Greenpoint. EXCELLENT burgers, great sandwiches in general (I've had almost all of them) the creamed spinach is divine, as are the tots and mac n cheese. The lasagna and burrito are HUGE and amazing (and I have never found any cucumbers in my burritos...must have been an off night that the other reviewer is mentioning)

Sorta pricey, but worth it for both the convenience of being able to order on their website and the prompt, friendly delivery staff. Our food is always delivered on time and piping hot. Definitely recommend.

Damn this place is good.  Sandwiches and fries are great, and the drinks are dirt cheap.  This is also considering my local late late night alternative is Crown Fried Chicken.  The host is efficient and attentive, and the food is served very quickly.  It can get pretty packed, but I've never had to wait too long for a seat.

Somebody complimented the bathrooms, but they were kinda gross to me.  Everything else is awesome.

Anytime is a semi-hip / modern bar/restaurant/lunge type of place aimed for young adults. each day of the week they have special price on certain drinks. ie: Wednesday is martini day, if i remembered it right. The food is good, but not amazing. Price is average to moderate expensive, especially if you ordered drinks with your meal.

The salad dressing is fruity and sweet which you don't get it often in Bedford area. Waiters are friendly, but they tend to starve you for a while after you placed the order. Delivery is very very slow, and yes, expensive.

Overall, the place is a cool hang out place, with nice decor and musics.

PS: the martinis are sweeter then normal.

I am allergic to cucumbers. I also am allergic to poor customer service. They guy was a jerk to me on the phone and only after yelling at him would he agree to send my money back.

I love Anytime.  This is the spot that I frequent almost on a weekly basis.  Sometimes 2-3 times a week.  The food is great.  You have to keep in mind that this is a bar/restaurant...but more bar than restaurant so it IS BAR FOOD.  But...most bars are fries, burgers and all that nonsense.  This place...has a little bit more :)

Of course you have your bar staples. burgers, fries, chicken fingers, jalapeno poppers, perogis...

but they have hummus, salads and pastas as well!  everything i've eaten there was good.  the portions are filling, enough to share really and its all cheap for being in the heart of williamsburg.

the ambiance is simple.  there is no television.  if you're going, you're going to socialize, drink and eat.  i like it better that way.

    now the bar aspect.

$1 PBRS.  $3 well drinks.  My friends and I try to sit right at the bar.  Not that its a huge space...but just to be closer to service and our bartender.  the guys that service the bar are all super cool.  but remember to bring cash because the $1 PBRs you can't run a tab on.

i said it at the start and i'll say it again - I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Almost flawless based on what I need it to do -- feed me when I can't sleep. I've lived in their delivery range for three years and have never been to this place. If I smoked I'm sure I'd live and die by this place.

The food is anywhere from serviceable to pretty good. I should say though that I hated their falafel. Of course, I don't like falafel, so what do I know, really?

The service can be gruff, plain unfriendly. Then again, I wouldn't want to work Saturday nights at 3 am either. There are better places, but there are points in the night where most places aren't nearly as open as this one.

Maybe it's not cool to enjoy Anytime, but I've had a definite soft spot for the place for years now. Most of the reason for this, I'll admit, has to do with their goat cheese salad, which might just be my favorite in the city. (The now-defunct Jack's in Park Slope made a very close second.)

Mmmm...goat cheese. Sorry. Just had to jolt myself back into reality. Anyway.

Oh, and Anytime is also my hands-down fav choice when I'm starving after catching a show at Galapagos or the Music Hall.

I'm pretty sure there have been things about Anytime that I have complained about or been irritated by, but I honestly cannot remember any of them now because any and all anger or frustration has instantly melted away from my brain when i realized somebody had just delivered delicious tater tots to my door at 3:30 a.m. on a Tuesday.

I've ordered from here a shameful amount of times and I have been pleased and impressed by the food nearly every single time. (Okay there was one unfortunate experience with a very shitty burrito, but I'll take some of that blame because I am a notorious burrito snob and I should have known better.)

I tried this for the first time the other night (I have the metabolism of a hummingbird and thusly need to constantly eat). I can't remember if I had been drinking or not (doesn't really matter with my stomach), but I was starving. My friend whipped out this menu I had never seen, and I ordered. The super friendly delivery boy showed up not too long later. SOOO GOOD. I was in heaven.

If you like food staples like burgers, chicken fingers, etc. served up decadently with no thought of your waistline, this is your place. I asked for the burger to be on brioche - sooo rich-tasting and good. You must try their tater tots and chicken fingers.

Also, that lady who answers the phone and takes orders has the kindest and most stress-free-sounding-voice in all of New York City. Lovesher. Worth the price of admission.

I guess I've come to a point where i'm just too damn lazy that i ordered anytime online rather the calling or simply walking there. Who knew they had an actual place? But anyway, it was cold and i was tired of the same stuff via delivery until my roomate mentioned that he ordered here last night.  So in a nutshell here goes

Pros:  Delivery was relatively ontime. Burger and fries were amazing and hot on arrival.  Decent in quantity and burger was actually  pretty thick.  Fries was sufficient

Cons: pricey and the minimum for delivery !! i mean, damn, 15 bucks?  I ended up ordering 3 bottles of water to make up the difference.  I didnt have problems with the delivery as others have commented.

so in conclusion, if you have money to burn and too lazy to get out of the apartment, then do it.

well since its 24H and i am almost always on the "insanity is better" schedule, anytime has delivered me the best lamb burgers ever, and delicious Jalapeno Poppers, at ridiculous hours of the night, for a reasonable price.
The only real downside is the amazingly long delay times for delivery which can strech to an hour, as the one delivery person drives around the greater bburg area.
(This is also something that can be easily fixed yo's get with it, and you will make a lot more cash if you have extremely quick deliveries, as in most cases of calling in for dinner at 4am, the person can only stay awake for a whole of 10min waiting.)

When I first moved into Greenpoint I ordered from Anytime a few times, and then a shwarma sandwich (one bite of it, in fact) gave me the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my entire life.  I was ill, ill, ill.

I never had a problem with the food or the service prior to then...but that's what I get for ordering shwarma at 3am.  I used to really like them but needless to say, I can't bring myself to order from them again.

This place is pure sh*t.  The ONLY reason why anyone would go here is because they're wasted or have the stomach of a goat.  The waitstaff is consistently stoned (no problem with that if they didn't keep messing up the orders).  They also over-charge if you use credit cards for delivery (which always shows up an hour late with ice cold food).  I got charged $20 gratuity on a $40 order (which ended up not being what I ordered).

You'll derive more pleasure eating a stale bag of left in the gutter cheesy poofs than anything you could get here.

I came to this place once on a Monday night after the show at Public Assembly.  We came for the $1 well drink they were serving, and threw in some tater tots, which were yummy.

Because I was able to drink 5 drinks for the price of one, I was satisfied overall with anytime. However, the ambience is meh, and the bartender that night was a little bitchy.  When I handed him the cash for my drink he immediately said "tip?" , giving me less than 10 seconds to reach into my wallet for another dollar. I did in fact tip him because I'm not a jerk, but i'm used to less hostile service generally. Still, if you want a cheap place tp pre-game at and don't want a big beer from Rosemary's, this is worth a quick visit.

I used to hit up Anytime like I owned stock in it. This place has a full bar and is open 24 hours. Delivery is horrible though (food is cold, looks like it's been dropped inside the box). The do try to act classy, and do a moderate job, but it's all around cheap.

Tater tots are good, and if you want a drink, ask for a Petticoat.

Ugh.  I'd say I expect more from Williamsburg, but I don't.  My boyfriend and I have gone twice now and I am writing it off after last nights experience.  The first time we went in, we went because the sign outside said "$1 PBR" Sweet!  Alas when we sat down at the bar and asked for 2 the bartender rudely told us, "We're out."  It was only 6pm.  Erase it off the chalk board out front then!

Last night we went in to eat.  We were sat next to the big window up front (really the only good part of the entire place).  Our waiter came over, gave us water and took our order.  "Oh and I would like a PBR."  "You'll have to order that at the counter." What?  So apparently, you can't order drinks if you eat, so we had to get up and go get our own drinks.  The food came out quickly and was decent (although the sides were obviously out of the bags you can get in the freezer isle in the grocery store).  The foodrunner/busser was great and refilled our water often.  Our waiter however never came back to check on us and after having sat looking around and waiting for our check for about 25 minutes after our plates had been cleared we finally got up and asked the host for it.  I rarely tip less than 20%...but this time I definitely did.

Positive: quick food, decent music, nice window
Negative: rude and lazy service, mediocre food

I so dig this place. The chicken sandwich is good, as are the chicken fingers.  The absolute best part- they will deliver good food to me (in Williamsburg) until 2am or 5am.  They are fully equipped with drinks and even cigarettes if you are just not up for going out for ANYTHING.  The food is good, the service is prompt and friendly, and the whole concept is so very convenient.  Loved it.

Soggy and dubious delivery - but I'm giving them two stars because I can get a pack of smokes with that.
