I recently moved to Portland and was in need of a good tax preparer. Having been to many other tax preparing establishments before, I've grown very skeptical. So many of them take no time to really sit down and help you get all the deductions you are entitled to. They want you to pay them hundreds of dollars to basically fill out tax forms for you. This may be fine for someone who just has a 1040EZ and is nervous about filling it out wrong, but for someone like me who is self-employed and has an office and a rental home and business expenses, things get complicated fast and I need someone who knows the tax laws thoroughly. David is definitely top notch. He knows his stuff. He took the time to go through and answer all my questions and pointed out many deductions that I was entitled to that other tax preparers had overlooked. I am now a lifetime client of his.

I have a small business and had some tax issues that I needed some advice on. I met the owner David at a meeting and really like what he had to say about how to work with the IRS. A few months later I went to him with my situation and he came up with a solution. End result was he saved me quite a bit of money and I found out how to deal with the IRS. Meet the Business Owner: David B.
David worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an income tax auditor. The Small Business/Self Employed auditing group was were David gained valuable experience during his six years of working with the IRS.
While working for the IRS as an auditor, David witnessed a countless number of people who were "leaving money on the table". It seemed as though every day there were people missing valuable deductions that they were completely eligible for.
The prior years of experience left David with a great desire to help people save tax dollars which could be re-invested into their families and businesses. David started Anvil Tax Inc. in 2007, an Income Tax Preparation Company, after seeing such a great need for strategic tax planning prior to the inevitable tax return preparation for clients.
