    Love this place!

The selection is great, the people are cool and it's a great place to watch a Basketball or Football game. They don't serve alcohol but there is a bottle shop next door and you can buy something there and bring it in. They rent lockers, if you want them to store your favorites and they also have a private "member's lounge" in the back although, I've never been back there (I'm perfectly content to sit out front and be part of the "riff-raff").

They even let me bring my pups in with me if it's cold but even if it wasn't, they have outdoor seating as well. A lot of people have complained about their prices but I don't know why; their prices are no more than other local shops. I'm sure if you drove 20 miles to another city you might be able to save enough money on the price of the cigar to pay for the gas you wasted to go there but for me, these guys are local, they've always treated me well and they have a "frequent flyer" card that earns you points that can be spent like cash in their store. For me, about every 10th-15th cigar is a freebie. My only complaint is that I wish the lounge was a bit bigger but you can't help the size of the building.

Anto's is a great place for novice smokers and/or seasoned "veterans".

I don't get to come here as often as I like...and thats probably a good thing considering I couldn't really afford it. However, that being said, you get what you pay for here. The ambiance is super laid back and welcoming and the selection is pretty wide. I'm definitely not an aficionado, but I have a pretty good idea what a good cigar is and what I'm looking for. But even so, every time I've gone in, the guy working usually comes in to the humidor with me and we go over some new addition to the humidor or something comparable to what I smoke I might not have tried yet. Very friendly and informative staff.

They'll cut it for you and let you smoke there which is great. If any game is going on, its on the TV and the chairs are so welcoming, you just fall into them and float away. They don't serve any food, but I've brought in coffee and hung out and there's been a couple times the "regulars" have pizza delivered and are munching and smoking...

Anyway, totally legit place to hang out.  They have a great "happy hour", but the exact hours of escaped me. Buy one get one free of anything over $10 or $12....not a bad deal at all...

I'd never been to a cigar lounge before or even smoked a cigar before going here.  But, I must say, it was a great experience.  The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was laid back.  Not intimidating, even for a n00b like me.  It looked the other people there were regulars, so you definitely got a sense of community. If you're into cigar smoking, I definitely recommend you check it out.

I have stopped in here twice while in town and probably will make a third stop shortly.

I have bought cigars both times and enjoyed my last one in the lounge, while watching my Bears get their asses kicked during some preseason football.

The pricing is comparable to Chicago, although the humidor selection is a bit smaller than my local merchant.  Then again, how often can you sit indoors with the door and windows open in any lounge in Chicago?

They have a flat screen tv, although I think it could be a bit larger, to watch some games while enjoying you cigar.

I though the staff was friendly and probably even friendlier to the regulars.  Either way I was made to feel welcome and the young guy was going to run to the corner for a soda and asked if anyone wanted anything from there.  Nice!

Nice, cozy, and elegant place to grab a cigar. I haven't actually sat and relaxed inside yet, I've only been there to purchase some cigars and tickets to the Long Beach Grand Smoke. Every time I've been inside the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's nice chairs to sit and relax and watch a little TV. You can sit outside too if you prefer to watch the Belmont Shore crowd walk by as you puff away. A great lounge!

I'm not a big smoker, but I look for selection when I go in to these places. This place, while it doesn't have the widest selection (reasonable compared to other places), it has quality selection. Usually filled with guys, this place has a constant smoke smell that flows out of the doors and into the street. The staff are very helpful, and willing to make recommendations based on taste or price.

The atmosphere is - as I mentioned - thick. they have a reasonable amount of seating indoors. If you wish to experience the great weather we experience down here in Southern California, there are seats outside just off of the main drag, so you can peak at people and comment on how they should be kicking it with you.

As I stood at the counter paying for the cigar "Sea Bass" suggested for me tonight, I remembered the many times I had been in so long ago. It seemed a lifetime ago I used to go in once a month. I always loved the place, and since I moved just down the street in December, I've not been back in. It has been my plan for a while, but life got in the way as so often happens.

While deep in thought, I took a step closer to the counter to collect my credit card held out to me. Suddenly my heel snapped off of my very expensive black suede boot and I stood there in a stunned and embarrassed silence.  Looking back on it now, I'm more than pleased that it had happened.

I couldn't very well walk home on one boot with a 3 inch heel and one boot without any at all! I sat down to try fixing my heel and quickly realized I was fighting a battle I wasn't going to win.  I finally allowed "Sea Bass" to talk me into lighting my cigar and smoking it there with the other customers. They took my coat and hung it up for me and checked constantly to make sure I was still OK and comfortable.

More than 4 hours later I was chauffeured home by a new friend I made after being given a parting request for me to return, as well as several hugs.

I always felt that going into a cigar shop alone (for me, anyway) was like tempting suicide. Instead I was greeted warmly, helped with my purchase, and made to feel more welcome than most restaurants where I go to eat and know the servers by name.

Yes, I'll certainly be going back to Antos - probably next Saturday!

I entered, was not greeted by the worker.  I went in just to purchase a Arturo Fuente.  I went in the humidor, grabbed the fuente, brought it up to the register.  He ignored me for about 2 minutes as he dicked around with some display stand.  "Uh can I help you?"  Yes, I would like to purchase this cigar I tell him.  He rings it up, $9.34.  "We don't take credit cards under ten bucks."  Annoying and not very inviting.  I always feel awkward going into these cigar shops with all of these know-it-alls staring you down.

The ridiculously overpriced selection complemented the pretentious vibe. Unimpressed.

Have always been a prude about smoking until a change of heart a few days ago.  Wanted to end my birthday with a grand puff.  I figured I would enter my 31st year alive on earth with distinction.  I may die tomorrow so why not be a little more openminded.  I'm probably not qualified to review this lounge as a newbie but I dug the atmosphere.  It's not pretentious, and it closed later at midnight than many cigar lounges in the OC.

I am not a cigar expert (which is become apparent if you keep reading) but I see no reason not to visit this place.  I went recently despite a previous review, because 1)  was in the neighborhood 2) really wanted a  cigar and 3) have had good experience with the one in Pasadena.  The staff was very nice and took time to show me around.  There was a crowd inside and outside and it looked like everyone was having a good time.  I did see some white stuff on cigars with wrap but when I asked about it, the guy took the cigar out and showed me it wasn't on the cigar itself, but on the wrapper.  And it is crystallized minerals, not mold.  Did I take a swab and put it under my microscope?  No.  But I did buy a cigar and enjoyed it very much at home.  I'm definitely coming back.

I have been in Anto's Cigar Lounge in Belmont Shore (Long Beach) several times and have become familiar with several of the "regular" crowd there.  This place has a very good atmosphere with a good group of people; very inclusive of anyone.

The cigar selection is by far the widest in the area, and contrary to an earlier review that was so obviously a shill for the shop named (in the opening line of the review no less), the cigars are in great shape.

Charles Q. is a Jackass! He obviously has not stepped foot into Anto's Cigar Lounge and is just making up blatant lies. It is by far the finest cigar lounge around.
